Hi Husky lovers. I have a 5 month old Pomsky “Buddy”. He plays pretty rough with my daughters pup “Kobe”. Kobe is the same age and he is a German Shepherd lab mix. They are about the same size but when they play they play really roughly and I noticed some blood on my dog and a few missing patches of hair. I don’t know if it’s from fighting with the other dog and playing too rough or if there something else going on with his hair. He licks at it and the skin looks irritated. I’m taking him to the vet on Tuesday but just wondering if anybody else has any kind of things like this with their pets. He’s otherwise a very healthy dog. He’s up-to-date on all his shots. He’s only …

Hello everyone! And welcome all of the new members! I have not been on the forum much the last month due to a long trial at work, but now that it's over I have more time to myself! Hope everyone is doing well. Also, on February 4th it has been 7 years since I brought Nikko home! And coming up on March 9th it will be 7 years since I was surfing the internet to help me deal with a hyper husky that I came across this forum! IMG_8535.HEIC

Hi, I currently have a 6 year old female husky/Pyrenees mix named Miska and a 9 year old female yorkie named Isabella. I’m thinking about adopting a husky from a rescue but I’m unsure how to go about it. I want a dog that will get along with my two girls now and not harm Isabella. What advice do y’all have on determining the best possible match for my home? Thanks! Here’s a photo of my girls (the blue light is from an aquarium...and I live like a bachelor [emoji16]) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey everyone, Just a quick question, I want to know if my female husky either Agouti or Wolf Grey or whatever coat color she's got because I haven't found on the internet a single image or topic relevant to her coat color. Cheers,

My husky is about a year old she just had a litter of puppy's back in April we live in Texas and she was born and raised here so she is pretty accustomed to the weather recently she's been staying outside due to her being too hyper to be inside and he constantly trying to go outside when she does get to come in and her coat has gotten rough and dry looking. Is there any type of remedy to help get her normal fluffy coat back? When she was little she got bathed 2 times a week all the way up until she was 8 months old and her hair always was shiny and fluffy. These are pictures from before she had puppies

What's up guys! I have sort of a dilemma that I would really appreciate if you can help with. ......After finishing walking my 6 month puppy we come in through the front door and hang out in the living room area for a while, then when I'm about to take him downstairs he just lies on the ground and wont let me pick him up. I have to pick him up because he is terrified to go down our stairs. At first it was kinda cute, but now it is really annoying as he does this every time we get inside the house and it seems i'm always late for somewhere because he refuses to let pick him up and just lays there. He would squirm if i tried to pick him up and just keep tu…

Hi, I just got a male husky puppy last January 11. The seller said he was born last Nov. 11, 2018 so he was exactly two months old when we got him. His name is Jarvis by the way.. I was just wondering if I was tricked because he looks small for a two-month old husky. The seller said he is a purebreed but some people said he looks small for a two-month old. I don't think he's sick because he eats normally and is very playful. He still eats the same type of food from what the seller has fed him. And are his ears supposed to still be floppy at two months? I would still love him the same though even if he wasn't a purebreed but I just want to know if he really…

Hi There, First time Siberian Husky owner and forum poster but need some help to understand our pooches change of behaviour. Maya is almost 3 years old and we have had since she was about 10 weeks old. We were told by the breeder that she was Husky cross with labradoodle though always doubted that so done a DNA test which came back with Siberian, Old English Sheepdog, Bernese Mountain, & Rottweiler combination. Anyway, she seems a relatively happy pooch. Very calm, very relaxed, very sweet and gentle. Eats well (though some nights she just sniffs it and turns around and goes back to sleep) and sleeps alot, most of the day as I take her to work wi…

Hi! Im a new dog owner to a crazy little husky that we saved from our local shelter. We got him at 2 1/2 months and now he’s just over 5. I can’t seem to figure out this mystery of why my dog has a constant Mohawk starting from his head to the front half of his neck and back. Ive read about hackles but I don’t know what this is because it NEVER goes away! Ive tried brushing it out, blow drying, and he just always has this hair sticking up! Anyone have any theories?? Thanks (-:

Hello. I"m about to adopt one of these 3 lovely puppies soon but I have a question about the nose color. The one in the middle which i"m about to adopt - as you can see - lacking pigment on her nose and it"s mostly pink with a pinch of black in front. My question is that if the black will cover up the nose completely in time or is it going to stay same or parti-nose as long as she lives. And if it is going to change what is it approximate age for a puppy to see if it"s DEFINETLY staying parti-nose or completely become black? Please enlighten me if you have knowledge about. I did some research but i couldnt find anything useful so far. Is it okay for a husky? Is it going t…

This puppy I purchased is one week old and it’s hard to tell what color her coat will end up being. It looks light gray but with some tan in it.. Anyone have a pic of how their dog ended up looking with a coat similar to this?

My girlfriend and I recently adopted a beautiful red and white husky. He is super affectionate and loves attention. We walk him regularly for bathroom breaks and longer walks for leisure and to burn of his crazy amount of energy. I have ordered a much longer leash to allow him to run more while at parks and a weighted vest to assist in giving him more of a workout.... but he is still extremely destructive when it comes to his kennel. When we are home he is out and about usually lounging on the couch with us but while we are at work he destroys his kennel and escaped once. I think it might be linked to him drinking his entire bowl of water in one sitting and having to use …

Hello, I am new and was just wondering if this is normal. I have a husky that is about a year and a half. she is super sweet and loving. She loves being outside in the cold. But lately she has chunks of fur balls that just fall right off of her or even when you pet her. Is this normal?? This if my first husky and the vet said I should have no concerns about it and that it may be just a new under coat coming in. What do you all think? Thanks in advance :)

Hi everyone!! I am semi-new. My husky girl Laylah Selene passed away 4yrs ago and we’ve finally decided to bring another husky into our lives. We put down a deposit on this sweet baby Sunday and we can’t wait for her to come home. She’s an agouti(I think? I posted a picture of newborn her and 2 week so if you can tell differently please let me know ) mom is a standard coat and dad is a wooly. Baby girl was a floofer when we saw her on Sunday so I’m assuming she will be wooly. We’re so excited to finally have a husky in our lives again. I don’t have a name for her though so suggestions are very welcome 😁😁 I’d be excited to get together with other husky owners in the area …

Hey guys! I have been having this issue for as long as I can remember, my 6 month puppy lunges so much at other dogs while were on our walk. But he does it to play and not at all any aggression or anxiety issues, he just thinks every dogs wants to play so he keeps lunging as soon as he sees them. He use to lung at other people but i'm able to use treats to keep his focus on me until we pass them, but when he sees another dog nothing I have or do will get his attention and stop the lunging.....Now this is a real danger to my puppy because I've had dogs that have taken his lunging the wrong way and tried to lung back and attack, so its very frustrating.. …

Hello everyone, For the second time I have visited Merlin's Meadow in Tewkesbury yesterday. It is £15 for an hour to hire a 16 acre secure dog park. The place has to be visited to be appreciated, but essentially it is a paddock of two very large fields, securely fenced with 6ft fencing. Here is a link to my google photos drive so you can take a look at the action: Tewkesbury Dog Park with Taylor, Blaze and Snowball There are some rules for the park apart from the obvious poo pickup etc, number of dogs per hire etc, but if a few of us wanted to meet there, I am sure we can sort something out. Access is secure via an air lock system so you drive t…

My fur baby jumped out of my arms just before I was able to put him down properly. Must have been from 2ft or so. He landed on his side. Yelped for about 30 seconds. I comforted him till he calmed down. It has been an hour since it happened he seems fine. Playing with his toys, had food. I have just put him down for a nap. Are there any signs I need to look out for? Will he be alright? Does he need to go to the vet? Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
