This guy here took it to a whole new level of crazy this morning! As a former and current husky owner, I'm all too aware of their habit of playing "King of the Mountain" in an effort to get the highest vantage point, to be able to see/hear/smell as much as possible. This morning, my husband said he heard the school bus (the same one Floki jumped onto yesterday for a ride), then saw a blur pass by our 2nd story window. Thought he was still half asleep, til he saw it again and realized that Floki was ON THE ROOF! Apparently, he was watching the kids get on the bus, and man, he really likes that bus, lol! So he popped out the screen and ran across the roof for a closer …

Hes had a tooth removed , playing with a toy this morning and you could tell he'd hurt himself, noticed the blood , he had broken his tooth, so took him straight to the vets where he had to stay and have it extracted The root had actually rotted away so that's why his tooth fractured, it's all been removed and stitched up , I can go pick him up as soon as I finish work (5ish) , poor poor bug

Hey, guys. My puppy has had this scratch around both eyes, which has gotten worse over the last week or so. It started out small but kept getting bigger and bleeding and wouldn't heal because my puppy kept scratching it. I have not put any topical ointment or went to the vet as this seemed like it would heal by itself, but it hasn't only only gets worse as he keeps scratching himself. How can I help heal this? Should I take him to the vet? Thanks!

Came across this article and good advice that we all preach. The poor dogs though[emoji17] Luckily these breeds are not readily available here so less common but still the number up for adoption is quite alarming. https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/8916074/game-of-thrones-abandoned-pet-wolf-dogs-are-on-the-rise-thanks-to-hit-series-game-of-thrones/ Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app

So, I've had my husky for about 9 years now and only now I've been curious of what type of husky she is. I havnet really done any research but I think that she may be a piebald or just white. I'm mainly asking considering that I'm not quite sure how much black her coat has to be to be considered a piebald or any other coat. She has one small spot near her tail and no where else.

Hey guys, So as the title says, I’m gonna be buying some camping equipment and gonna go camping for the first time. I want to take Luna with me and wondered if any of you have experienced camping with your husky? Any advice? When sleeping in the tent did you have them tethered to you or did you let them roam freely inside the tent? Can they escape? Any advice would be great. Thanks Amanda

We got Koko from an Egyptian breeder. She has FCI pedigree papers, but can’t find out if they are recognised by the Kennel Club in UK. The American KC does recognise them. Actually not that bothered as she wasn’t adopted for that reason, just curious thats all Thanks

Hi guys. New to this page but thought I'd check out some forums as I did a tonne of research before getting my boy but I find alot of people have strong views on Huskies... Even not ever owning one themselves. So I'd like to check in. My boy is now 9 months old and everyone comments about how chilled he is and he really is... he's playful, will jump up and will sprint when off the lead but he's not this hyperactive, pup that everyone warns me about. If I walked him for hours he will keep going but he's also not that bothered. I was really ill recently and again today so haven't walked him at all and he doesn't seem to care, he's happy just cuddling me and chilling with th…

I have a 5month old male pup, Apollo. I got him at 6 weeks for my 10 yo son. A coworker had an oops litter and was in a hurry to get rid of them. After bringing Apollo home, I noticed when I would take him outside to potty, he would love to go in my flower beds that contained rocks. It didn't take long to teach him to go in the grass. To this day though, I continue to have issues with him going in the house or in his crate. I learned not long ago that this coworker kept the pups on a cement patio, so I've read it can be difficult to potty train if they learned to go on hard surface at the beginning. In the past with other dogs I've had, I used the rub the nose…

Good Morning group! I am getting my puppy in a few weeks, and I am still in the process to buy everything I need for her... I am a person who likes to walk a lot and being outdoors, so I was wondering if a handsfree leash with the Indi-Dog harness would be a good idea for a husky.. mainly because their nature is to pull... Many thanks to anyone that can give me a more experienced point of view 😀

What's up guys! So earlier today I thought my 9 month old puppy picked something off the floor in my house so when I went to check, that's when he started to run around thinking it's a game, he only had his collar on. I got scared thinking it was something dangerous so when he ran near me I grabbed him by the collar, that's when he bite me and kept his mouth on my hand. He did leave a mark but drew no blood, I was seriously shocked he would do this as he hasnt done this before. I thought it was a one time thing so I baited him into running around again to see what will happen if I grabbed the collar again, he bite me again. He has always hated when I grab…

Hey, We recently adopted a husky puppy but his hair is so much shorter and his tail doesn’t turn up. He’s also quite tiny. Or so we think. Both parents were on site but we feel like maybe he is mixed with something. I’d love your input. He’s 3 1/2 months old and 22 lbs. Can you tell me what you think at this point?? It would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 3 month old Siberian Husky. We are in the process of kennel training at night for bed. We take him out for potty right before bed ( witch he will not go outside 💩😖). But Crowley here thinks it’s ok but o pee and poo in his kennel. Then when we wake up (the most disgusting thing EVER 🤮😷🤢) he has rolled in his own poo and pee! Any tips on how to stop this? Or any tips on house braking? Or to get him not to chew on anything but his toys? Please help😊

Luna is about 9 months old and I’m curious as to why her coat isn’t fluffy. I do live in Texas so could it be due to the fact that it’s summer time? Or maybe her coat isn’t fully developed yet? I absolutely love her but I’m just worried that her coat won’t be as fluffy as other husky’s coats.

Hey all, New to the forum, but not to dogs, specially very large breeds. I am new to Huskies however and was wondering about their water intake. Background - I had a 12 month old Neapolitan Mastiff, a wonderful dog. We used to feed them chicken frames and dry food, which they loved. All 3 dogs (different large breeds) would drink a lot after their meals and I thought nothing of it. Then one morning when I was ready to go to work the Neo was missing, we lived on 3 acres so that was not unusual. But when I called and he did not come I became worried he had escaped (not the first time), but it was not long before I found him in one of the gardens. At …

What's up guys! I'm having trouble getting my 8 month puppy to go into his crate on command. Once I manage to get him in, he loves it inside and can stay for hours without a single whine. He loves his crate and does not have issues staying inside. He 100% knows his crate command but chooses to not go in it, because he is so damn STUBBORN. After being out and its time for his crate he will just lay down and not go in or just look at me and decide to ignore me and not go in. How can I get him to go into his crate on command? I've done it all, throwing kibble inside, holding high value treats inn my hand etc. He just does not want to go in.....I've been late to wor…

Hi all, I've got a 6 month old husky and we gave her her first raw lamb bone last week, which she broke down and ate every morsel. when at the vets for a 6 month health check we mentioned this and they told us she shouldn't have bones, as she cannot pass it, and would just end up with a stomach full of bone and have to be opened up to get removed this does not sound right to me, as surely there are bits of bone in raw food and if they were scavenging in the wild, which is their instinct, they would break down bones. should I give her bones to eat or not...... she absolutely loved it though......... thanks in advance for advice

I have an almost 2 year old female husky. She started to chew on her back, near the base of her tail, about 6 months ago. She has chewed her undercoat completely off in that spot. We have tried grain free food and treats, and she is in the house all the time. We also give her bones to chew. What could we do to keep her from itching? Will her undercoat grow back? Thank you all in advance.
