  1. The day after Christmas we adopted a beautiful 10 month old female Siberian Husky, Mara Jade. We found out soon after we got her however that she could possible pregnant (due to the previous owner breeding her with another husky). Well, in the early AM hours of Presidents Day, she brought eight beautiful pups into the world. Happy Birthdays to... Washington, Lincoln, Jackson, Eisenhower (Ike), and Jefferson (two white and three dark - unsure what coloring they are?) And Madison, Monroe, and Reagan (two white and one dark) Since we have never cared for puppies before, any and all advice is welcome! So far we are through the first few days since birth and all pups are keeping within the same weight gain ranges, even our little runt (Madison). However it has been rather hard to pin down exactly what weight a husky puppy should fit into online (medium or large breed) since my girls are within the top and bottom range of both (new husky owners as of Oct 1st 2019). As well, we have kept the whelping room (my walk-in closet) warm in the 80s, now in the 70s post three days old. So far all pups appear to be moving good, eating well, and crying little. Mama Mara is cleaning them and VERY protective. She will let me move them if they get behind her and distressed while she is trying to feed the bunch, but otherwise won't let anyone reach for or touch a puppy. All whelping box blanket changing and weighing has to be done while she is outside. She let's us pet her whil she is in the box, even showing belly for pets, but not her babies. I take it this is normal? When she we expect her to hopefully calm down and let handling to perform weigh-ins etc? Again, thank you everyone for anything you would like to offer in advice or suggestion. We want to ensure we maintain a healthy Mama and babies.

  3. Hey guys! Im going to buy a new husky puppy. I got lost, i dont know a lot of about pure breed husky so i need your help. I have contact a guy and said that he have a pure breed husky puppies so i really want your opinion about if its real pure breed or not. Unfortunately in my country we dont a akc or kennel club so its would be pretty amazing to know your thoughts!
  4. Hi, I just got a male husky puppy last January 11. The seller said he was born last Nov. 11, 2018 so he was exactly two months old when we got him. His name is Jarvis by the way.. I was just wondering if I was tricked because he looks small for a two-month old husky. The seller said he is a purebreed but some people said he looks small for a two-month old. I don't think he's sick because he eats normally and is very playful. He still eats the same type of food from what the seller has fed him. And are his ears supposed to still be floppy at two months? I would still love him the same though even if he wasn't a purebreed but I just want to know if he really isn't. I don't want to tell people that asks if he's purebreed that he is and then turns out he's not. What do you guys think?(his pictures attached) InShot_20190117_002238535.mp4 V_20190116_133021_EH1.mp4 V_20190116_131052_DOC0.mp4
  5. Hello, i got this fella 2 weeks ago and I just want to know is it normal for him to have his white line curved around. He is a pure breed Siberian Husky.
  6. Hello! I just got a husky puppy about 2 weeks ago. She's currently 2 months old and very lively. The one problem I'm afraid i have is that we live in California, where its really hot lately and I'm not sure on how to cool my puppy, Winter, off. She's not allowed in the house yet until she's properly trained to not bite everything in site.(We let her in when its close to bedtime though and she sleeps with me in my room.) We have lots of shade in our backyard and we got her a kiddie pool that we fill with water and ice for her to keep cool in but she doesnt seem to like that as much. She spends most of the day sleeping until the day is cool enough for me to go take her out to play for a good 2 hours. Any suggestions or advice? Thank you in advanced!
  7. Our two girls are currently 30 lbs. and 28 lbs. at exactly 4 months today , They are twin girls, and active, to the point where they wear all 5 of us out daily! They are so smart, from opening their pen to opening their cage, hiding toys, etc... So far they are not digging too many holes, but we find them chewing on every branch, every board, and each other at times! They are fed every morning and every evening, they love their water, but they love to run more than anything! We use a body harness as we are not big fans of collars and chokers, Everywhere they go they are making new friends and meeting people continuously! I think my wife enjoys that too much, a 2 hour walk usually takes 4 hours plus with the socializing! They are identical and adorable, very friendly and love to kiss! They were added to the family to help me stay occupied while dealing with some health issues, and they do occupy my time! Our newest endeavor is Ice cube hockey, but they are too fast and ice melts too soon, thank goodness the trays are full ! Looking for advice on training, feeding and care! I have always had Black Labs, but the addition of these girls has been life changing, even though they have angry markings and colour, they are so gentle and loving! Looking forward to hearing advice and stories! Rob

  12. My Freya is about 6 months now... She was born in January and she's (to me&my family) quite big. I'm just wondering if she's half fully grown yet in terms of size, or if she's no where near or whatever? I can't wait to see what she looks like when she's bigger, for some reason, so I guess I'm trying to paint an accurate picture in my head :') Plus we've never owned a Husky before her, so we can't really compare her size or anything... If you comment, thank you for the help! ^_^
