Hi, I just got a new husky puppy this evening. She’s pretty shy but is settling in. I don’t have a name yet but the breeder called her Hannah. She’s so pretty! But I have a question: I have a Yorkie who is curious but a bit enthusiastic. Hannah has growled a few times at Bella when she approaches. Hannah lunged at her and I think she was showing her teeth. With all of the puppies I’ve raised I’ve never seen this before. I know everything in Hannah’s world has turned upside down but I want to ensure that Hannah gets along with Bella as well as Miska (my husky/Pyrenees mix). What am I to make of this? What should be my response? Thanks! Sent from my…

Hi all,Happy Boxing Day Sansa is 15 months old. she had her first annual booster injection on saturday morning. she was fine before this but on saturday afternoon she was completely wiped out and tired, this we kind of expected so weren't too worried as she was always wiped out after her puppy injections. however this carried on into Sunday and onwards, she hadn't eaten since saturday morning breakfast. she was a little bit sick, once (yellow bile) only on monday, and has been lethargic and completely uninterested in food since then. her poo, when she has had once has been solidish. I rang the vet who did her booster on monday who just said to keep an…

Hi Guys! I have a quick question that I have been wondering for the longest time....I wanted to know if my puppy will ever reach 60 lbs as a full grown adult? I Know this question may sound crazy but from your own experience and from seeing other huskies growth rates will you be able to tell me. He just turned 6 months a couple days ago and weighs 41 lbs. His mom weighs 52 lbs and the dad weighs 56 lbs. From his current weight plus the parents weight, will he reach 60 lbs as a full adult? ....I mean that's only 20 lbs left and plus don't huskies grow till 2 years?? Now, no matter what my husky weighs, whether 60 lbs or 40 lbs I still love em, but…

Has anyone had experience with their husky interacting with a small dog? My sister is going to visit me at Christmas, and she'll be bringing her small chihuahua. He is only about 3 pounds. I am just wondering how my Olaf will react to him. Olaf does like other dogs, and he likes small dogs, but this chihuahua is quite small. I am wondering if he will see him and think he is a squirrel or a rabbit. (Ha-ha-ha.) Of course, we will supervise the dogs at all times, and maybe even keep the chihuahua downstairs. I hope Olaf will welcome my sister and the little dog and not fuss too much about them being in the house. ;-)

Can someone tell me if these are legit? I am overseas, there is like ONE local breeder, and they have a super-long waiting list. There is a guy that has these. The pics are the ones that are available. Two of them, look legit, but if you look at the third, and at the video, the other don't? And the heads seem to be shaped differently, even though they are form the same litter? There, there is also the noses. Video 2018-12-19 at 7.57.33 PM.mp4 Video 2018-12-19 at 8.04.06 PM.mp4

We are in need of some helpful ideas. Our 9-year old female husky has recently developed hotspots on her tail. We have found that using Nu-Stock helped heal the spots quickly when she can't get to them. In order to keep her from getting to the spots we have resorted to a XXL e-collar and wrapping her tail. The problem is...she's a husky and can bend her body enough to get the end of her tail around the e-collar. She has developed a new spot because of this and we watched her reach it after securing the e-collar as recommended. Does anyone have any ideas of keeping her from being able to reach her tail?

Hi, I’ve noticed that Luna’s left eye (right looking at her) shows more white at the bottom than her left. Is this normal in puppies? (She’s nealry 13 weeks) See pic. Thanks Amanda

Ok i am thinking ahead a little bit here as i dont pick my baby up until 20th Jan but my question is this. I am planning to be bringing my husky into work with me as the office space is massive. However i dont want to fall into the trap of getting her not used to being left alone. Should i bring her into work right away or leave in house and come home to let out for toilet during working hours? I also dont want to get her into a routine and then brake that by bringing her into work which is why i am wondering if i should just start from early on. i am only 0.5 miles away from my house so popping back is not an issue. What would you guys do? Sent from my [device_n…

Hi, I’m new here and I’m looking to get a husky puppy to add to my pack. I currently have a female Yorkie (Isabella) and a female husky/Pyrenees mix (Miska) who get along great. Both are betas, thankfully. Isabella was around before Miska and I got her around 8 weeks old thankfully. I figured that this would ensure that she would get along with her and the other yorkies I had at the time. Isabella is about 9 years old and Miska is about 5 or 6 years old now. Miska is so patient with Isabella and I can’t ever remember her having a problem with Isabella. She’s kind of guards with her food but she’s not aggressive. She’s very gentle and has more Pyrenees traits than husky...…

Hi I have two Huskies and both are nine years old . The male dog has after all these years started peeing in the house again when I take him out ( they are both walked 3 miles a day. ) for a walk he is stopping to pee every 15 to 28 seconds and after about maybe six pees he is still stopping to pee but nothing is coming out and he stands in the peeing position for about thirty to forty five seconds even though he is not doing anything. I have had him to two different vets he has had every test under the sun from blood tests x-rays scans you name it he has had it and they say they can't find anything wrong with him but they can start blood tests again if I wanted I have a…

Since last Friday my poor boy hasn’t been out for walks. 😩. Because he filled all the his nails down on one back paw and broke a couple on his front. (Hasn’t had them trimmed because our walks/runs keep them filed down; the girl has to get trimmed on regular) I have let him play in the first snowfall in the backyard, but not the same and only for a few minutes. He doesn’t understand why he can’t go outside. 🥺 and is getting testy with his sister. I have been looking at booties. There are a lot of mixed reviews for most of them. Does anyone else use booties and what works best for these guys?

We had our first winter storm last night and it made me realize just how spoiled my pups are. ❤️🥰😂 We woke up this morning with two feet of snow ❄️ on the hills. Can’t wait to get them up their to play this weekend... But this morning when it was potty time my male just sat at the doggie door whining. Then he would run back and further from the front door to the back door. His brave sister went flying out the door and quickly came back in. LOL Their dog ramp was solid ice and there was a a small amount of water/ice pooled up in the middle of their run. Both sat there with a puzzled look on their faces. Kept sticking their heads out the door. The girl …

My sibe since he was a puppy has buried his food and bones etc. I know dogs do this. However he does it daily. If I'm out hiking and give him some meat out my sandwich he buries it on route. The foot in the garden from he will dig up when he's ready and bring it in the house. The cat brought a dead mouse home the dog got it and he buried it in the garden. I had to wait til he finished and go back and dig it up to put it in the bin. I gave him the left over beef from last Sundays roast it's somewhere buried in the garden til he redigs it up. Is anyone else's sibe a prolific burier.

This is weird and amazing! Friday night decompression after a busy workweek ...we went out to dinner. We gave Rumo dinner and left him loose in the house (he would always open the gate anyway, and we realized that he doesn't do anything bad when he gets out of the kitchen.) We came home 1.5 hours later to find the garage door wide open, AND the door from garage to kitchen hanging open...we could see light shining out of our house! ( I think that the garage door opener didn't work somehow when we hit it, and I think Rumo figured out how to open the door to the garage...} I was terrified and bracing myself to spend the night driving around in the dark, callin…

We boarded Rumo over Thanksgiving break (we travelled to visit family - my mom hates animals in the house, and my sister/brother have active toddlers, so it's not dog-friendly) We spent about 5 days sitting around with family and eating massive amounts, meeting in restaurants and eating more... Then we picked up Rumo from his boarding kennel and it seems that he got a serious case of "kennel fever"! First morning back, he took me out for 75 minutes of trot/gallop. 😬 In the late afternoon, another 1 hr 20 minutes of trot/walk. Last night I got up from the sofa and my legs were sore! This morning, we did our entire 2.5 mile loop in the woods at a jog... Well…
