Hello. I have a male and 4 year old Husky that has been with me since he was a baby. We lived in an apartment for 4 years and 2 months ago I had to move to another apartment in another location. The previous house had a small countryside where few cars and people passed by but all knew him well. The present one is more like a city where he cannot stand people who doesn't know and tries to escape from everything and everyone. He's very scared and I'm worried that he can become aggressive when he is actually so gentle. Besides walks for him are not comfortable and pleasent as before... Could you please help? I'm desperate. Hi guys. been a while since i posted. my little bundle of joy (more like devil) is getting bigger by the day. i didnt sleep much for like 3 weeks so decided to bring crate into my bedroom.... shes slept every nite without a hitch since. She thinks everything is a chew toy. and i mean everything. arms.....legs..... kids..... shoes..... kids toys..... anything really. I've been told by a couple of people that puppies often eat their own poop right after eliminating the waste. Is this common among Huskies? Any way to stop this behavior? Also, our 13 week old male suddenly stopped pooping outside last week. He will still poop outdoors when he needs to go out side after midnight, but has pretty much stopped going outside during the day. He will pee, but that's it. He will bite his own leash and shakes it side to side violently and will refuse to go in the direction I'm trying to get him to go. He will often just sit down, looking off in another direction. My husky Ty is 8months about to be 9 and the neighborhood I live in has many dogs in front and backyards. Every time he sees or hears another dog he becomes excited and frantic so he begins jumping,whining and pulling on the leash. I’m able to calm him down for a bit before having to walk a different direction, but like I said there’s dogs in almost every home .It’s becoming more and more difficult to control the bigger he gets.I thought bringing my older dog in the walks would help but it doesn’t and I always take him to dog parks to socialize so it’s not like he doesn’t see dogs regularly.I was wondering if anyone had tips to help control this behavior so our walks aren…

We took in a second Husky a little over a year ago so he would have a good home, however we are having some awful behavior problems with him. I have never had a dog that absolutely doesn’t listen or learn. He has food aggression with my female husky and will tussle with her if she even enters the room where his food is. He has a good 50 pounds on her and am afraid he is going to injure her. However, my main concern is that he has started biting our human friends that enter the house. Needing some help with crate training at nite. Iv had the pup for just over 1 week. iv started leaving her in the crate lastnite for the first nite. came down every 2 hours to let her out for a pee. if only it was that simple.... first time i came down she had pooped and made a hell of a mess. she screamed for 7 hours constantly. My wife is loosing the plot and i know wot is coming next if this continues for a number of weeks. Should i continue with leaving her in kitchen in crate with a lite on or should i bring cage into livingroom and lay next to the crate? This morning, my husband tried to be nice and let me sleep in. He got up and took care of the zoo and took my daughter to school. That meant the pups were in the living room unattended for about 30 minutes. (I leave them all the time alone to take her to school and never had an issue) I woke up to a strange noise. Hi, My boy is now 15 month old he's very boisterous which the I realise the breed is. I take him out on two long walks every day rain or shine , morning and night. On a weekend I do longer walks on the hills and Moors. When I meet other dogs he's a hyper idiot. Even other huskies are calm when they meet him but he's straight up jumping all over them . I've been told he will calm down. At what age did your husky start to grow up. He has been nuetered.

Hello... I have quite a big problem and am desprate for help. So, my 10 month old husky is extremely overexcited whenever she sees another dog, I swear, I can barerly see a dog in the distance but she will see it and act upon it and I immediately know what’s going on. It is no aggressive behavior, but she is extremely playful and wants to play. Hi all, First time posting on this forum and I am looking for some advice. I have a pure breed male husky and a Dogue de bordeaux when it comes times to dinner time, where the husky become aggressive towards the other dog over food. The husky has been known to became protective of my son when people enter the yard. While feeding both dogs this time, from either end of the yard, both dogs engaged in a fight. I have had my dog for almost two years now and she is very aggressive! We have another husky and she clearly wants to maintain alpha so she is constantly biting him if he gets near her food ( he knows not to eat her food) so we had to start feeding them in their crates. She also will growl and bite us if we get near her food. It’s a huge problem because if we’re in the house and not looking and she gets ahold of something she’s not supposed to then it’s impossible to get it away because she becomes so aggressive it’s scary. After 3 months of going back and forth with companies getting the correct size and finding a really good quality harness, we finally got ones that work. I know that they are too young (10 months) to “pull” but my male drops his shoulders and digs in when I run him. He apparently only has two speeds now. Slow easy going walk or full on. LOL Would it hurt his growth plates if he really digs in on a run hooked to just me or my husband? We are both average weight. The harnesses are the freemotion from Non-stop. I am also looking into getting a motorized scooter so I can run them without them actually pulling it.

Hi everyone, Firstly please be kind in the replies I am feeling so delicate and I know what I am about to say may be upsetting for some people. Today I had my first thought of "maybe we made a mistake" For background - we have had our lad for nearly a year now and have consistently worked on training, setting boundaries and creating the right routine for us and our lad. So after my girl went for a 45 minute free for all yesterday after breaking her collar, she slipped through the back door and was loose in the backyard. For the first few minutes I didn’t mind and even allowed her brother to romp around with her (without their muzzles). Hi, I plan on getting a husky puppy soon and I’m no stranger to dogs. I have a husky/Pyrenees mix and a yorkie now but I am pretty rusty on current training techniques. I have to admit that I didn’t train the two I have now but they are relatively well behaved (except for jumping on me, but I’m beginning to work on that). Both are very laid back and love to please, thankfully. They are non-aggressive towards people and other dogs. I can’t say the same thing about wild rabbits that might show up in my backyard though. Okay my husky is not showing aggression but she’s becoming jealous of people near me like for example when ever she’s next to me or in my lap and a family member sits near us she will literally start kicking them till they are out “our space”. I was looking for away to connect with other Husky owners in my area. Unsled trained dogs.... We don’t have any annual events or anything (yet- I am reaching out to some rescues and shelters to see about getting some started). Posted an intro. Basically we've had a husky for 3 weeks. I grew up with many dogs - puppies through rescues. So far our pup is low maintenance - but I'm still learning about this breed. He's docile indoors, loves doggy day care and other dogs, but there are some issues. My fiancee has a cat, but he has a strong prey drive - good lord he is fast. My three months old Husky, Ice, jumped on the couch to allegedly lay with me. However, his cuddles lasted less than 3 minutes, as he got up, stood on my midsection and peed on me. This has never happened to me in my life. A few days earlier, he peed on my son in his bed. I was hoping this was a one-time thing or an accident, but now, I'm scared. Advice please 😢 our little girl Rusty is having a hard time in her crate at night and when the crate door is locked when sleeping in the day.When the crate door is locked she scratches and chews the bars but worse is she keeps messing even when she’s been for a wee and poop before going in the crate. Hi, I need your advice please. Luna is 8 weeks old and the last week her behaviour has been pretty bad. When I come in from work I get a lovely welcome but then she starts biting my feet and legs. Hi, We have had Luna since she was 5 1/2 weeks old and she just turned 8 weeks Saturday gone. Since we had her she has been sleeping with us on our bed. I have read that it’s good to crate train them for when we have to go out of the house etc. Is it still possible to crate train her?
