Had to take Charlie to vets last night (he decided to take his grump out on solo who usually ignores him but this time charlie caught his ear and he snapped back, catching Charlie just above eye, resulting in infection, eye drops, antibiotics and a £91.00 bill). Anyway, vet commented again on his weight saying his too big for little legs. He looks rotund but you can feel his ribs all the way round is naturally deep chested and not much flab. He is fed to his size and walked alongside solo at least 3 miles a day. I looked up stats for corgis tonight (dad was corgi x terrier)and he is within range so do I worry?

I think my old Beardie is on his last legs We rescued him & were told he was a couple of years old then, we've had him 7 years so we guess he must be around 10 yrs now. He's the one that head-bobbed at Sarah and made his beard puff up & go black when she came round I'll look on reptile fora for anything to make his time left as easy as we can

so im friends with a lot of the staff at a near by pets at home, couple of them are on my Facebook. one of them put a pic up of this pup who had been found by a customer and they had taken this dog in. the dog was found wondering down the road next to a motor way, skin and bones sores all over its body. The day before a look a likely pup had been brought in the vets. This poor dog is about 13 weeks old you can see tho her skin at the back of her hocks, she doesn't know how to walk play eat chew or even be a puppy. So my friend niccki called me and said can you bring rogue in to meet the puppy so i was there within 4 mins and meet this dog, to touch her was just heart …

We are all dog lovers here, but what's your passion beside canines? My number one answer would definitely be horses. Ever since I was a kid, every time there's what we call a "horse-riding man" (which are horse owners offering people to ride their horse for a short lap for money. They're usually found in tourist attraction sites) I'd beg my parents to hop on one of the horses. I don't like ponies or miniatures though... I like tall, big, strong horses recently I went to China and found this horse-riding arena. So I hopped on a horse and, for the first time ever, ran full-speed with it. I'll be honest with you it was scary for a first-timer it felt like riding a rol…

This is Semafoor, my cat, on his usual place: Right on my lap. Really think he's not aware yet that he isn't a dog but a cat. Everything I do, he'll follow me everywhere and gets confused when I'm not home. This is how he acts when I've been away the entire afternoon. Those that often chat with me may now realise why I sometimes seem to send out random letters. This is simply Semafoor attempting to type a greeting on my keyboard

Our cat Beppe has been going downhill quickly this week. The vet estimated she may has somewhere between a week and a month to live. I think we're currently looking at a matter only a couple of days. I'm sad, yes. But also happy that we were able to provide her a good and final home in her last year. When we adopted here from the shelter she was estimated to be around 16 and 18 years old but we think she may be quite a bit older than that. She had all kinds of problems but the shelter couldn't find anything. When we adopted her they told us she maybe has a month to live. We were happy to give here a final home and agreed to each other that we'll use medications to rel…

Well, at least that's what I might have been accused of doing. As I was going into Terlingua the other day, I saw this little hatchback car with a dog in the back end. As I was getting closer, I realized it looked a lot like a Husky so I pulled up a little closer - it still looked like a Husky, but bigger! Followed them into the post office parking lot and introduced myself and found out that the "little boy" in the rear of their car was an Akita - handsome, friendly fellow. Gave them a Husky-Owner card and asked them to drop into the forum - so if y'all show up "Hi!"

Brooke's been pretty stiff the last few days so not been up to a marathon walk with the others. I thought it would be nice to take her in the car and then through the woods on the school run today. Used to do it more often when bear and ice were young as it was her time out away from them, lol. As usual, we were all in a rush to get there on time, Brooke decides to drop and poop, so I'm hurriedly scooping it up and trying to deter her from pulling me into the horse field. (she's on a lead because although she's a Staffordshire bull terrier and not a husky, she is deaf! So can't hear my recall commands, we use visual ones which work great when she happens to look…

My sister & BIL got a boxer puppy back in Jan '13.... unfortunately, he is not well behaved at all. They both work.. and I don't know what they do in the evenings, but they don't seem to try and teach him anything. My parents live with them, and my dad is retired, so he has to deal with the dog most of the day. The dog is either outside, or inside in his crate. My sister is going on vacation next week, so I was thinking of trying to spend some time with him to train him. It's only for 9 days... so I'm not even sure if it's worth it. I just feel bad for him because if he's not inside, he's in the crate because he can't even sit still. He jumps up on everyone,…

Hi Everyone, I've been wanting to get a husky since forever, and have done a whole lot of research on them. I'm fully confident on tackling the training of one (having trained dogs before), the amount of exercise she'll need etc, but I'm most concerned about the possibility of the family cats. I've done a bunch of reading on it, including some on this site, and have found a lot of answers saying Nope don't even try it, and also quite a few saying their husky/ies gets on fine with cats. The consensus I'm seeming to find is that huskies that have been raised since very young with cats get along fine, while those that are introduced from about a year+ don't work al…
