I work at a veterinary hospital. In April, I was given a cat from a client of ours who catches feral kittens, and then has them spayed and neutered when they're old enough. Her name was Duckie (long story) and she was a great cat. Then in July, she disappreared. We left food out for her for weeks, but never saw hide nor hair of her. We came to the conclusion that coyotes had probably gotten her, or even the owl that has a nest in one of our trees. I, of course, was extremely sad. Then, Friday at work, one of my coworkers pulled a cat out of her crate as I was turning on the scale. As soon as she pulled her out, I knew it was Duckie. I'm pretty sure I was more excited tan …

So I love animals:D Always have for as long as I can remember. I figured I should post some pics of my other pets. When I was young we got 2 little kittens, Princess and Sox they both have a pretty colorful past. They both used to be outdoor cats. And elderly lady down the road wanted a spayed cat to keep her company and to kill her mice. Sox and Princess were always catching mice. Princess was considered my cat, and Sox was my brothers cat who didn't even care about her. So my mom decided to give Sox to this lady. On the drive to bring sox to her new home, I was the one to hold her, I was so sad we were giving her away and I past her to her new owner with tears in …

was just curious about this terrier because every time I'm playing with a dog breed selector, this breed always came up as my perfect match well they do look pretty and sweet, but every dog looks that way in my eyes XD anyone own an Irish Terrier or know someone who does?

someone on another dog owner forum I'm on posted this pic and asked "what kind of terrier is this" well he said "terrier" but I think this dog looks nothing like a terrier. No breed come to mind though, I only posted that "this dog looks kinda like a Schnauzer" but I know that's not the right answer. Any help?

ever since i was little i had a fascination with frogs....... i had loads of framed prints of frogs and even more stuffed toys..... as well as cute little trinkets (all frog based)...... My o/h has kindly said that if i would like to i can get me a couple of frogs....... so the biggest question is what species do i go for??? there are so many to choose from but im loving the look of 3 in particular....... First up we have the red eyed tree frog...... Next contender is the Tomato frog...... and finally (and possibly my favourite) the blue azureus dart frog...... What do you all think????

Well originally i wanted a GSD. the boyfriend said absolutely not, as he thinks their ugly. (it hurts my heart to hear such a thing!) he wanted a weimaraner and i just don't like them and that's actually how we both went to our other favorite breed and wound up with a husky. well luka's 6 1/2 months now and around the time he turns 1 we would love to get another dog. immediately i wanted another husky but josh isn't sure. i even suggested rescuing one so we don't have to go through the puppy stage again. Don't get me wrong i love luka and he was precious when he was little but it was so much work. he's suggested a rottweiler and a blue pitbull. He wants somethi…

Besides being owned by our Husky Cj. My wife and I are also home to 8 sugar gliders. We started out with our first little girl Comet and found out she needed a friend. Bob then came along. We got Orion, (Orions twin Odin left us shortly after he was born) and Leo from them and have been home to 8 other rescues. At one point in time we had 12 fur kids! We do our best to not change anyones names. When they come to us! Mu Glider family: Comet, Bob, Orion, Leo, Keisha(Sharky), Abu, Icarus, Keyetta, Never forgotten: Special "k", Plicethenese(Plice), Sachi, Soupie This is a photo of our old Ladies. We had an interesting day today, Azizi was out having a fly as normal so we had a hold of Mollie so she didn't eat him. Azizi however, had different plans and flew straight into her open mouth so she could have a chomp. Mollie happily obliged. We then had a nice hour long journey to the closest avian vet, who has put a splint on his broken leg luckily there wasn't too much damage, it could have been a lot worse! We have antibiotics and pain killers for him for the next 10 days (not looking forward to getting him to take them) and his leg is all bandaged and he has a thick collar on to stop him trying to take it off. He seemed happy enough tonight when we put him to …

Just thought id let you all know the other fur baby that has a place in my heart, my cat Chandu. He is 3 years old at the moment and is soo chilled its unbelieveable. Very different to a hyper husky like kai He is a very relaxed kitty and loves snoozing on my bed! Cheeky !!! His relationship with kai is that of a love hate relationship lol, as in Kai always wants to play with him and Chanmdu wnats none of it, but he misses him when hes not there awww xv Chandu has one eye due to th fact that one day when he didnt come in after being out, i looked around and then he came running in straight upstairs, when i went to check on him i found his eye was bleeding and looked re…

We went to the local dog fair and summer fete today and after a lot of deliberation we decided that it was far too hot for the husky butts to come with, so we decided to bring Brooke our little old Staffy for a day out with us instead. She's 11 years old and a bit deaf but very well behaved, so we didn't have to worry about her leaping on random people at the fair. Always a bonus, lol We've never entered a dog show before but thought that for £2.50 entry we'd give her a shot at the child handling category, being handled by our 8 year old son Reece. Well, she went where she was supposed to do and didn't really pull him anywhere but Reece did struggle a b…

Tonka finally found a great new home!! Yaaaay! They have another lab, fenced in yard and nearly 20 years experience with Labradors and they didn't seem to be upset at all with his crazy puppy antics. At first he wanted to just go back in the house with me because he's so loyal but they patted and played with him and let their other lab play with him... Speaking of which he's got a girlfriend now lol (spayed) and exceptionally healthy looking for being 7 years old. So he hopped right into their truck and smiled at me as if to say "I'm ok mom" I'm very pleased that I finally got him the home that I was looking for him to get. I'm so very happy (sad as moms al…
