Was in 2 minds here on whether to post this as a conversational topic, or in the swap shop for something a little less annoying. We have a Black Cat called Bella. I used to think that it was a fairly pleasent little thing, however its now decided to gain a really annoying habit. To put you in the picture, imagine me, sat infront of my 2 widescreen monitors and not being able to see them... Thats what my Cat creates. It sits directly above my keyboard, slap in the middle of my 2 monitors so I cant see for shit. Anyone else have any annoyin pets they really dont like? Or just me?

i mentioned in another thread that i wanted to be a reptile breeder and have already successfully bred 1 of my females, Kimiko, to my male, Ecko. so thought i'd post this I had to wait until both geckos were around 50g and in good health before they could be bred (and that they were opposite sexes!!) this ment lots of feeding up and weighing lol. Kimiko was given pinky mice dipped in calcium suppliment about a week before so she gained a lot of weight and had plenty of calcium for egg production next step was to put them together, Ecko is kept in a seperate tank to avoid unwanted matings as i have 5 females (3 at the time) in the same tank, and i wa…

They are both well socialized with people - they hand feed, come out of their tanks each night to get held/pet, enjoy falling asleep

I have 3 bearded dragons, 1 male & 2 females. Male: eyeing up his tea (& the hopper sitting on his head!) Male: showing off his black beard to show his prowess to females or to warn preditors off Females: drying off after playing in the water in the sink! Finally, the tallboy that Steve converted, took the doors off, made a gap for a drawer in the middle (pic was taken before door went on), sealed the vivs & used toughened glass sliding doors - voila! 2 beardie vivs!

Now, I know snakes are not everyone's cup of tea (!) but I have 3 & love 'em! I have 2 large male corns, about 5.5' long and a baby female, 27" long. The female shed today & I had the bright idea (!) of posting a few pics for you to see! I have photo'd her looking out of her hide, a close up of her, a pic of the whole snake skin & a close up of the head of the shed skin. Many non-snake people don't realise snakes should shed all in one piece, it shows a healthy snake. Also, did you know they shed out of the mouth of the skin, so you end up with what looks like a hollow snake! When they shed, they also get the eyes covered with skin, which sheds too …

hi my next door neighbour has just rehomed a puppy (its wolfie) she bought him in to meet mine lastnight and he loved them and they loved him, anyway i was looking through his paperwork and saw that he isnt a siberian husky as i thought but a utonogan, i know that they are part sibe part mal and part gsd, i looked them up and apparantly they have been bred to be really good at obediance, does this mean husky rules dont apply and he should be trained and kept as a normal dog? im so excited to have him next door as i will be looking after him 2 days a week, well im just supposed to be letting him out and playing with him but im actually gona bring him in here all day cos he…

For those of you that are unser of what a chameleon is (Is it not just part of the song Karma Chameleon, lol) please follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chameleon Housing Chameleons are best suited to a good sized terrarium (aka. Vivarium - same thing). You can work out what size would be best suited for your chameleon by using the size of your largest chameleon. For example a pair of Jacksons Chameleons are around 9 inches in length and would need a terrarium about 36 inches wide, 72 inches long and 54 inches high. Chameleons come from rainforest areas where there are plenty of leaves, plantation and greenery. Their terrarium should …

Found some of my old college work and thought would make a collection of How To threads for everyone, you will find most of it is to do with exotic animals (like this thread) as that was where my main interest was at college (I wanted to be a herpetologist). I am just basically copying and pasting from my orginal work. anyway back to the subject: For those who are unsure what a tarantula is (im sure most of you know for obvious reasons) please follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantula Here I will cover the basic management techniques with Housing, Feeding, Sexing, Handling, When NOT to handle and a few of the dangers involve…

Ok, i have a cat called Bella who's 5 and she is such a witch!! (mind you - she is all black lol) She very rarely wants to be fussed and will chew your hand as if it's a chew toy! I'm sure she thinks she's a dog!! Anyone got any ideas on how i can "tame" her? I've tried treats etc and am always soft with her - she occasionally sits on my lap and is ok as long as i don't stroke her
