I love my kittens very very much. But I want the safety for them and the dogs. I don't want them dead but I don't want to let them go. I rescued them from dieing and have had them since 5 weeks old and have grown so attached with them. They sleep with us and they constantly get in our lap and rub and cuddle on us and it is just so funny to watch them play. I don't want to let them go. Right now they are gated off to the bathroom and our bedroom when the dogs are inside. But they get the whole house when dogs are outside or when they are in their cages for bedtime and feeding time. But what happens when one day the gate gets knocked down or they get older and learn to cli…

Here's my lovely squidgy boys! This is Emmett, who is the "Daddy" rat. He's a berkshire and is now 19 months old (so getting on a bit now). He is the full brother of Edward, who sadly passed away in March. This is Merlyn, my Champagne boy. He is now 16 months old and is very huggy :-). Riley is a Topaz Hooded. Also 16 months old. Jasper is now a black eyed white, he was originally a 'Husky' (roan) and had a lovely grey blaze, but as is want to happen with roans, his colour faded. He is 9 months old. Jacob is Jasper's full brother, he is also …

As promised, photo's of my new boys. They've been home for 4 days now and are coming along well. They are just over 9 weeks old now. Initially Emmett was the braver one (he's bigger too), but Edward is currently more brave and doesn't mind being handled so much. They are out play fighting at the moment!! Edward is the one with the white tip on his tail. Emmett is the one hidiing in my pocket!! Hehe!! Enjoy Cat x

I'm debating getting another dog. Part of me would love another husky, but there's also part of me that would like a dog with good recall so I can let them off. Plus in larger enclosed areas I'd be able to let both dogs off and not worry about having to rugby tackle Fen to get him back on lead and he always returns if he's with another dog that has good recall. What breeds do people recommend that mix well with huskies. I want a medium or large dog with a similar exercise requirement to Fenrir and that's about it, though I'm not keen on labs for some reason. I'm tempted to get a German Shepherd, is this a potential good match? Any dog I do get would most likel…

We had these decorative clay barrels in our yard and a feral kitty used it to gave birth three kittens, two B/W and one ginger. Probably born this morning at 4 because Diamond suddenly howled and begged to go outside at that time this morning. Today at about 8 AM I heard a noise coming from the clay barrels and my maid said Diamond is trying to knock them over. Apparently he caught an eye on these little guys! I know Mama Cat for as long as I can remember. She just roams the neighborhood and because I see her often I named her. Plus, Two-face often hangs around my house to steal food/water from Diamond's bowls (that useless dog LOL). I did all I could to shoo he…

I took my dogs out last night in the dark, together with a third that I'm looking after for a few weeks. On the park I let my X-collie off lead and all did a couple of laps. All of a sudden, a bunch of fireworks went off and Holly bolted for home. I always keep her on the lead for a few weeks around bonfire night as I know she is terrified of them, but one month early on a wet, cold and miserable night. Where is the sense in that? She made it home safe enough, but if I let her off in the evenings now, I will definitely put a fluorescent coat on her so she can be seen. This is so damned annoying.

The pictures say it all, lol. Their names. Gandalf! Legolas! My favorite out of the six! He also seems to be the leader, lol. Legolas and Gandalf! Pippin! The smallest. Legolas with his mouth open like usual, he's a nibbler too. Gandalf is on the right. All together! Strider on the left, Legolas on top, and Pippin on the right. Fell asleep. Sophie meeting Gandalf!

I love my cat I really, really do but she is seriously the most annoying cat I have ever met!!!! First she is a chatter box, she will talk your ear off. I will walk in the door and all I hear is meow, meow, meow and she will follow me around the house just to talk to me. I don't think she has an off button. Next when you pet her, you HAVE to be clean so she will lick your hands before you can pet her or else you will get bit every time you try to pet her and she is the one who comes to you to be petted. Like really? Then if you ignore her or haven't given her any attention all day and she really wants attention she will go and pee on your stuff (we thought she was peeing …

Doing my research here I really love these dogs and plan to own one in the future, so guess it's time to learn more about the breed no breed description can tell me what kind of dogs they really are better than someone who actually owns a GSD. Right? so if you own a GSD or know a lot about them, please spare your time to answer my questions 1. I know they shed heavily, and I really don't mind the fur, but do they shed more or less than a husky? 2. My neighbor's GSD barks every time someone walk past his home--even when he's being crated! Do they all do this? Is it a natural behavior or do they need to be trained to do that? 3. Sadly this is a breed prone to a …

We are having problems with Cheyenne Poor little fluff butt. We have had her for about a year and a half and lately for the past two weeks she has been throwing up 2-4 times a day. So we took her to the vet and they cannot figure out why she is throwing up. She has only thrown up here before when we first got here and she was throwing up weird objects from the abandoned house she was staying in she was eating weird objects in there. She has been on the same food for quiet some time now and cannot be changed from it as we have tried other foods but she has to be on a really sensitive prescription food since part of the lining of her stomach is destroyed from eating who kn…

I can't believe it was 15 years ago today that a cute little bundle of fluff and claws came into my life. My big cat Lily is my oldest ever cat. We have been through lots together. Getting her helped make my son walk, he was a premature baby born at just 2lb 8 oz and at 15 month old only managed the odd step here and there. The day after I got Lily he saw her got out of his pushchair and chased after her, the day after that my nephew was born, so a very special weekend it was.

Our cockatiel, Pigeon passed away a few weeks ago. Out of nowhere, now the kids are starting to grieve and miss her. Somehow an hour after I had fed her, she got her head stuck between the wires on the bottom of her cage and she broke her neck. Unfortunately, my 7 year old daughter found her. I was searching through my photos, but couldn't find any with the kids with her. They were too scared to ever hold her. Lol so I found some with me.

Hi. I have an b/w Argentinian tegu who is just over a year old. Called tiny. My staffy gets on well with him but I'm not sure weather or not to trust the huskys round him. I get him out and hold tiny and let the huskys have a smell iv been doing this every day since iv had my pups but I'm really not sure wether they want to eat him or play with him. His viv is in the front room so they smell him around all the time. This is the huskys with the tegu today Ice licking her lips. Or was it just a coincidence with the pic Alaska's eyes. I can't work out if she wants to play or if she is thinking yummy dinner Tiny gets the run off the front room while I'…

My GSD puppy is starting to grow white/greyish hairs on her back, shoulder, and hip area. When I looked around and did research, on what this might be I found something called "bitch stripe" and it looks really similar. But I have also been told it might be her "adult fur" growing in, but I have doubts on that as she just turned 4 months old on the 9th and that seems way to early. I don't want to register on GSD forums because they always seem to be elitists and don't really tend to help from what I have seen. And Sky(My husky) told me to stay here or she would get mad at me and say I am cheating haha. Thanks for all the help.

So last night we went and picked up a 4 year old English pointer that was living on at a home with other pointers, but as the others were living inside, he was stuck outside in a small kennel year round since they had received him. They told me his bloodlines are worth thousands but he is worth nothing because he is partially deaf (he carries the gene that some white dogs carry). A friend had told me about him that knows the people personally. She knows them through field dog trials and thought he would be something I may be interested in helping. I have fostered many dogs before but had recently decided to take a break from it, so I was unsure. I went and looked at him t…
