Okay so me and my brothers got my mum a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula spiderling about three years back, and the first one she killed because she dropped the pot! >.< so the second one we have still got which we bought straight after (kind of like a child whos fish / hamster has died). Shes now got to be about three years old, and im cleaning the house, i come across her enclosure that i havent looked at in ages (its only a little fish transporter thing) theres no water and all i see is legs up in the air! i freakked out because my mum would be distraught so i had a closer look and she had just shed her skin - relief, but she looks beautiful! when her skins hardene…

Some may remember me making a post about Mr grey the cat that has decided to take up residents out the front of our house. We not long got back from a walk with Sasha only went to the end of the road to show my son the Christmas lights that are there, Mr grey walked straight up to Sasha, followed us all the way on the walk and back and as we got two days away from home the neighbors bulldog was out in there front yard (fenced yard) he was barking like crazy at us and here comes Mr grey running up next to Sasha trying to attack the dog through the fence haha I swear he was trying to protect Sasha he didn't come up next to her until she reacted to the dog. He's such a sw…

We're getting 2 hamsters today. Just wondering How thé dogs Are going to take to them obviously they'd eat them given thé chance but what i was wondering would it torment them to put them in thé dogs view or should i keep them out of thé dogs site. Theyre fine with thé goldfish but thé goldfish is above thé crates we really dont have any space other than thé windowsill (in dogs view) we have another shelf above thé crate but quite High up unless i ask Alan to make a shelf in between thé 2 shelfs above thé crate. Id prefer them in thé living room if i can

Our little bearded dragon has been digging like mad for a day or 2 now so today I sent my son for some play sand for her to dig in and we now have some eggs. SHE was supposed to be a HE and so we hadn't looked up this particular behaviour pattern. I just looked it and was very shocked to discover that if she didn't have sand to dig in she could have become egg bound or they could burst and we most likely would have lost her. I will be keeping a close watch on her til she has finished laying. She hasn't been near another dragon in over 2 months so fortunately they will be infertile.

Looks like it's early Christmas for my little guy as well I spoke to this Betta expert regarding True Blue's recurring "fin rot" episodes. She said judging from the pictures I have, it looks more like bite wounds rather than fin rot. She said Blue mistook his tail for another male fish and took a nip worse yet, she also said that this behavior may be caused by boredom. I don't like the idea of Blue self-mutilating due to the size of his tank, so I went and got him a 5.5 gal along with two new ornaments for him to do laps around. Thank goodness for Christmas sale. That tank was only twelve dollars! 25% of the water was from the old tank, and the filter cart…

My sister's beagle Budha is at the vets because earlier on today he got his leg stuck in between the slats on a bench and ended up breaking his leg. [emoji19] He's been xrayed and is staying in the vets for a couple of days as they'll be putting in a metal plate I think.....my dad told me the story, can't get hold of my little sis. Here's hoping he gets well soon, he's only little, bless him.

Dozer was just chasing his tail barking I thought he was just being a goof ball like always but then he sniffed his bum I felt his tummy and it's hard at the top near his ribs isn't but the rest is he had a bone earlier could it be obstructed again? It's sort of like he was when he had the last obstruction but he isn't pooping blood or anything else he just ate half his dinner and is still drinking. What do I do? I don't have the money to take him to an after hours vet last time it cost us nearly $900 and we just don't have that much :'( I'll keep checking on him for now see if anything changes. Is there anything I can do to help him if that's what it is? Please he…

Four weeks, ~$80 and hours of internet research later, True Blue Fantasy is finally home. He's still a little unsure and confused, like every fish does in their first day home. But he's also curious and brave; trying to fit himself through every gap he could see. He looks apprehensive, but awestruck at the same time I just love how he super carefully swam through the Spongebob house's window, just to dash back to do it all over again x he also kept swimming towards me, though he still runs away if my finger gets too close. I must say, he reminded me to a certain fluffy dog when I first adopted him some four years ago xxx Hopefully h…

My poor feral cat Ben has had Bartonella Virus and the anti bodies have caused his eyes to form cataracts notably on the left side. The vet has now said he has glaucoma and is in danger of totally losing his sight in both eyes unless he has immediate medical attention asap. We don't know if he is clear from the virus yet but we can't wait to find out as by the time his results come back it might be to late. I really hope they have an appointment at the eye specialist tomorrow. If he loses his sight he will have to be put to sleep... and even though he is not our cat (he adopted us when his owners moved) we love him. He loves being outside, which means he won't be sa…

It looks like we have twin light tans, born yesterday afternoon. The akita is thrilled there are babies and must check them daily. The others say snack and ignore them while in their cage.

I often mention our 'doo lally' Labradoodle. She is the most unkempt doodle out there but we love her, (and she is Luna's best friend), so I though I would post a quick picture of her whilst I have my Tablet in my hands!

Meet Lexi! My brother's new blue staffie puppy ^_^ It's safe to say that Freya loves her new sister... She won't leave her alone, though Lexi doesn't seem as interested in her as she is in Holly haha! Holly being the brood she is, babies Lexi but usually isn't interested in Freya or Lexi's little antics ;') Poor girl, her life was so peaceful before we brought the two youngsters into the family </3 Problem is with the cat... Anyone got any advice for making sure the puppy doesn't accidentally kill the kitten? :') They play together, but sometimes Lexi grabs his tail a little too roughly, and Felix (9 week old cat), claws/hisses at him and runs under the …

Last fish-less tank update picture before I pick up True Blue next Sunday (( you might or might not notice the white plastic thread that I looped from one window to another. I do that to cover a sharp edge inside the window. This Spongebob house is the hideout with the *least* amount of sharp edges sold in my local Petco. None is 100% smooth and Betta-safe ))

We rehomed this corn around 7 years ago, he was about a year old then. He is a fussy eater & stops eating for 4 months over Winter, always has & so did the last corn we had (sadly he had a tumour & went to sleep) so it's always great to see a complete healthy shed from him That is a normal household sweeping brush next to the skin to give some idea of length, don't forget the skin shrinks slightly after shedding too so the snake is actually longer than this. Can you see the eye pods on the head shots?

Hey everybody, Maybe you could give me some advise on this situation I'm having at the moment... Yesterday, one of my bunnies died unfortunately... Even more unfortunate is that the other one is now alone.. Which I think is terrible.. They always had the backyard for themselves, but I don't want to leave her there alone. So.. Now I was thinking to get her a cage for inside the house and have her inside so she wouldn't be so alone. There's only one little problem.. Our beloved husky malamute Elai.. It was just a stupid little mistake to not let him get used to the bunnies when he was a pup. I guess because he didn't have anything to do with them anyway. Th…

Not sure what is going on this week but - On my way home last Monday, (65 mile commute each way), I was circumnavigating Grantham, (via the A1 and Little Ponton), when I noted a large bird on the road, (in front of me), so I slowed and sounded my horn. The bird refused to budge and I slowed to a crawl only to note that the bird was a very large preditor, (although I couldn't identify it), but it wasn't a Buzzard and it seemed far to big to be a Hawk? It was that large I thought it was an Eagle, (it obviously wasn't), but it then dissapeared once I started to reach for my camera, (it was about to eat its prey by the side of the road). I then continued on my…
