I am so very sad to write that our much beloved Leon has past over the Rainbow Bridge this evening after suffering an illness that finally got the better of him and we had to release him to run free without pain or struggling for breath. We shall look after your twin sister Taiya as we have always done and she will want for nothing and hopefully she will lead a long and happy life until you come to take her over the bridge ... but not yet ..... Our love to you now and always my boy, my little fluffty bunnies - Mum, Dad, Taiya, Damian and Ollie always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts - run free my boy, run free .......

First I just want to say thank you to everyone who welcomed me on this site and helped me with Balto when I thought I was at my ropes end. He was such a great dog and I loved him very much. Now to the story: Balto was outside on his harness and lead while we were working on my mother in laws roof. Balto has been on this lead I don't know how many times and has been really good on it. Well baby woke up from her nap and my husband cut his hand so he went inside to get it cleaned and some bandage while I went to grab the baby and and put her in her swing. Well we came back out after being inside for maybe 15 minutes and Balto was gone!!! His harness was still there as he…

Earlier this morning we bid a fond farewell to one of our feline companions. 'Tish', (short for Mortitia), was jet black and could easily have found herself 'at home' at any self respecting covern, (hence her name), and she had reached the grand old age of 19 years! We came across Tish in one of the local Cat Rescue Centres, (many years ago), and she was one of seven, (or possibly eight), other cats that were all desperately seeking a new start in life after being treated very badly by some of our fellow human beings. These were all animals that stayed at the very rear of the pens as they had no further interest in anything around them, (they were all resigned…

We rescued a bearded dragon around 7 years ago. It was already an adult and we were told she was 2-3 years old. She had a great life in her viv high above the huskies, looking down at them all looking up at her, wondering what she was. But the time has come for her to scuttle over Rainbow Bridge and at approx 10 years, that is about right. So we're down to 1 snake, 1 beardie and 2 huskies ..... space for a few more rescues I think

Thursday, 2nd January 2014 08:00 GMT+7 My grandma passed at the staggering age of 91. She was still very healthy and active down to the last week of her life. In fact nobody guessed she would pass on anytime soon. We all thought one day we'd sit at a restaurant celebrating her 100th birthday. Before that accidental fall which led to her series of hospital trips, she still walks herself around the neighborhood every morning. She still goes grocery shopping, although she always ended up being walked home by the store owner because she can't remember where her house is. Although her memories of the present time is quick to fade away, she remembers her childhood vividly. …

I was called by the vet today, Diesel was ready for me to bring home on his final journey. I called in on the way home from work, paid his fee & left a thank you card for the staff. I cannot yet bring myself to lift the casket, in a box out of the (gift) bag they have provided so have not seen the wooden casket, I am assured it has a plaque with his name on, but that is for another day.

This is the hardest topic I will ever start, but Diesel has gone to sleep today. I am absolutely numb. I can't believe I am having to post this. The vet wanted to get him in before next Tuesday (should have gone in yesterday but the little bugger ate in the morning so couldn't go under anaesthetic) so they made space for him today for his ultrasound & x-ray. He was dropped off at 9am. I got a call at 3pm, he was under & the scan revealed a mass in his abdomen but they weren't sure how far it had spread, so I had 3 options. Put him straight to sleep without bringing him round, bring him round so he could come home for his last few weeks / months and leave …

I'm new to this forum but just thought I'd post on behalf of my other baby who I lost Milo was my first husky who came into my life as an anniversary gift from my boyfriend. He was the one who made me fall in love with this amazing breed. Unfortunately this poor baby didn't get to stay in this world with us too long because he was diagnosed with acute leukemia at 6 months and eventually we had to put him down because it got so bad. It broke our hearts completely when we found out and had to make that awful decision. I miss him so much and will never forget those gorgeous eyes that looked at me with love. RIP Milo baby, love you loads and loads xx

R.I.P Hachiko (Chiko). A fun-loving dog, a best friend, a faithful pet and a big fan of Diamond. You'll always be in my heart Chiko is one of those dogs they let loose at night-time. I told his owners for AGES he can't be let loose like that... but they only care so much about him. What I feared the most happened a few nights ago. I thought they finally sold him because he's so noisy, but apparently he's gone forever and ever. A speeding car took his life Will always love you, crazy dog xxx

My poor baby Bella died at 6.40am this morning, she was 10, her heart gave out on her. She was a valentines present from marc and despite her annoying meow I loved her so much. The dogs chased her down the garden and she just dropped, marc and storm moved the dogs so I could get to her, it was raining and I wrapped her in a towel and brought her inside where her breathing went shallow and she took her last breath. This hurts so much and now storm and marc have left for work I am in pieces. This was the last picture I took of her just the other week, curled up on my clean washing Rip Bella I love you x x 01.01.2003 - 03.10.2013 Sent from my GT-I9300 using T…

Ivanna Lakota was born into this world May 2, 2001 to Dorata and Zorro Siberlove of Allegro Siberian the breeder was Jo Anna Hartman of Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. She was 5 weeks old when she began a long trek from her siblings and Mom to get to Philadelphia, from Terrace to Seattle, Seattle to Toronto, Toronto to Montreal, Montreal to Ontario and Ontario to Philadelphia International Airport for Customs. She travelled close to 24 hours to get to me. She came in by means of Air Canada and when the jet landed one of the baggage claim attendants climbed on board and took the crate which carried her directly into the terminal where I arrived and filled out the cus…

http://youtu.be/UovpppIspY8 He quietly slipped away from us at about 5pm on the 14th of May 2013. Although his was a short life that never reached its completion... these short months have made our lives so much richer and fuller. Odin, with his tiny 'angel wings' on his back, had always been our guardian angel. He was a champ even without winning any medals. He was the best dog one could ever have... I will miss you so much. Goodbye Odin. http://www.the-elchemists.blogspot.com/2013/05/odin-siberian-husky-king-who-ruled-our.html

There is a place in heaven, it's called the husky camp Where huskys go to run and play Jump puddles and get damp There's sand pits just for digging And trees for sniffing too no one to say come on or hush there's room to howl and woo The sun shines all year long there and shady spots abound achy legs and old age gone They all can run around And when you get to heaven If you've been very good the gates to camp will open just like you knew they would Hope you like it

It is with a very sad heart that we send Rockie to the Rainbow Bridge. A couple weeks ago while trying to find out what was causing intermittent seizure activity it was suspected that he may have a tumor. A few days after this visit he developed a large sarcoma on his neck, the vet discovered the underlying tissue was very inflamed and abnormal looking, she suspected cancer. Today we found a new sarcoma in his 'arm pit', upon evaluation this was the same type of tissue as before and the first abscess site was full of dead narcotic tissue. Whatever it was we were dealing with it was just too much to fight for the old boy. We decided that it was in his best interest to…

I believe most of you know Mishka the famous "talking husky". Moki is her housemate, a beautiful jack russell-pitbull mix that also has her own YouTube channel. Unfortunately she passed on 3 weeks ago. I do love watching Mishka's videos but I always like Moki more she has a thousand super cute facial expressions. The rainbow bridge got another angel. Run free, Moki xxx

You arrived with a woo and a wag. Your antics stressed me at times. Teaching you was a challenge. Setting your boundries a chore. You stole my heart. A bond was formed. More than friends we became. When sad you brought joy. Antics ran amuck. Moments never were dull. Focussed and then some. Your strong will prevailed. The years they passed. We enjoyed the time. You taught me well. Life has been good. You have journeyed on. My heart still hurts. My soul is incomplete. Life is now a challenge. My memories of you remain. In my dreams I relive. The time we shared is precious. Run free til again we meet.

Even though Rocky isn't a husky, I still wanted to express my sadness. My family and I lost him suddenly yesterday at 11:28am and just the day before he was his fine energetic self. I miss him so much and it doesn't feel real to me. I miss you so much, buddy. I can't wait to see you again. You were the greatest dog and companion I could have ever asked for. Rest In Peace, Big Baby. <3

Hero, the Alpha Male Husky crossed the bifrost at 11:30AM this morning, Sunday June 23, 2013. He was 16 years going on 17. Arthritis is what took him. His back legs would no longer function and he ceased to eat only hydration is what he took. With his noble, beautiful head in my hands he passed peacefully to be greeted by Apollo, Ivanna and Tuvok. Freed from his pain-wracked body he sails joyfully through the heavens in his harness of gold. I wish I were somewhere to see the Aurora tonight; it will be spectacular! Hero was just that, a hero. He transformed a scared little boy, terrified of dogs into one who loved them particularly Huskies. He was a calming influence a…

Just found out today that a friend of mine who lives near my mum lost his husky Zeus he had two, Zeus and Skyla and they both gorgeous! I'm sure Zeus was only about 3 or 4..he'd broken his back on the beach and unfortunately the vet couldn't do anything for him so he had to be put down! My friend has been distraught I'm sure. Those two dogs mean the world to him. Will have to go round and see him soon. RIP Zeus

I am not sure if anyone remembers me. We lost our Beautiful girl at 13 1/2 on July 1, 2010. These three years have done nothing to soften the sadness. We miss her every single day.
