Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, wh…

Cant believe Im writing another one of these. Will just copy what I wrote on FB. --------------------- 15 years ago, I caved in to my wife and let her have a dog. I said I would never have a dog in the house, but I loved my parents dogs to bits, and since they were having pups, if we were going to have one, it was going to be a husky. We called him Kimba, and he changed the way we lived our lives. A year later we got Kaiser. Another husky (his brother). Kimba needed a companion so he wasnt so needy, so that was ok. Sarah had got him before I even knew about it. With this, we started a community of husky owners. Throughout the years we have run husky holidays w…

It's been a while since I've been on the Forum, but determined to get back into the community properly as I know it'll make me feel better. Sadly in December 2021 I lost my beautiful Kodi Bear. He never fully recovered from surgery to remove a fatty lump. For 13 years he was my constant companion, and my heart is still broken. I cry almost daily, but I know he's at peace now, wearing that silver harness with pride! 14.11.2008 - 09.12.2021

We sadly just said goodbye to Alpha aka Mr Whoo Whoo. He had a severe stomach infection two years ago and we nearly lost him then. Every day after was a bonus. It came back with a vengeance several days ago and he lost over 4kg suddenly. After the vets giving him medication they said his kidneys were shutting down and the infection was not going to go away. Stubborn bugger still wanted to go for a walk at 3 am this morning and could still pull me over trying to get to something this was because he also had dementia and thought he was a young pup again. Sleep well Alphy, go find Bindi and Iwan over the rainbow bridge.

Skyla-bear you came into our lives brought a whirlwind of mud and fluff along with you and gave us 13 years of love and laughter, you'd torment the boys something chronic and jump in every puddle you come across but you were a giant softie where it mattered , the past few years you battled illnesses fiercely and never gave up but today was the day we had to make the decision to free you from any more pain , you're back with Bings again now , give him a cuddle from me and don't ever forget how much we love you 💜 our wonderful white bear

This morning I had to say goodbye to Kodiak. I rescued him in April 2013 at about 3-4 years old. He was an amazing dog and he will truly be missed. Run free big red.

I wouldn't have this place to post on. We wouldn't have met many of the friends we have We wouldn't have been on many of the holidays we have had We wouldn't have been on many of the day trips we have had A lot of our friends, would not know a lot of their friends, if it wasn't for him There are rescues that exist now, only because he existed Hell, even a lot of people I no longer speak to. Some I wish we'd never fell out with, and others I hate, would not even know each other without his existence All this because without him, husky owners would have never even been conceived as an idea. That husky owners forum, for people who have husk…

Sadly our boisterous, bossy, beautiful, bitchy Miss Bindi has gone across the rainbow bridge today. She was one a kind for sure. Her illness hit suddenly and hard. We shall miss her domineering way of getting just what she wanted RUN FREE...RUN FAST...RUN FAR... Miss Bindi.. Love you....

My beautiful boy Darwin only 13 years young has gone to join Echo and Daughtry across the bridge. After a short period of infirmity he passed peacefully during the night.

Hi all. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on the forum. I have some sad news. Yukon passed away peacefully at home tonight. He recently was diagnosed with liver cancer and he went downhill fast. Made the hard decision that it was time to let him go. He will be missed and I can’t believe it’s real.

I know I don't come here really but I know a lot of older members will remember Angel from husky camps etc. Im sorry to say we had to help her on her final journey on Monday. 🥺 I'm utterly broken and Storm and Aurora are a bit lost as well. We feel like we have lost a part of ourselves, the pain is unbearable. Her ashes were delivered this morning, so she is finally back at home where she belongs. Hug your babies tight.

On Monday we lost our Sasha. Due to an unfortunate accident on Saturday evening, all our dogs escaped. They were all recovered fairly quickly except for Sasha. She was found at the back of some flats less than 50 yards from the house. She had serious leg damage. We got her to our vets but with the damage she already had to her spine there was just to much for her to cope with. She was put to sleep on Monday. Run fast and free over the bridge Sash you'll be greatly missed.

We are so sad, got Een at 5 weeks old and we lost him 10 years later. He was the best loyal and wonderful companion with a beautiful personality. He was fine in the morning, had to search the property to find him in the evening as he was not in the house. He was lying in the rain without enough energy to get up. Diagnosed with a ruptured spleen due to a tumor at the hospital. Nothing we could do for him. Truly a difficult goodbye to such a gracious and kind companion. He will be dearly missed.

Luna bid us a fond farewell, yesterday, when she finally lost her courageous battle against cancer. What a privilege to have had the companionship of such a fine majestic being in my life. This is not a time for sadness - but a time for reflection, hope and optimism for the future. At a time when we are all fighting our own battles, during these uncertain times, let's not forget the comfort and solace that our companions bring to our table. Let's hope that 2021 is a little kinder to us ALL. Please take care out there and stay safe.

Louie came to me as a rehome, was Uncle to most of the pups around me as he had such a gentle and tollaraunt boy. He developed a very fast growing agressive tumor, and was nearly 8 years old He helped me when i lost my Service dog was more than a pet or part of the family I could probably write more but this only just happened so I am not feeling too good as this came on me so fast as I am dealing with my own cancer Small update, Whilst we were at the vets and he was not well but he was still doing his awooing and the lay on his side and try to dig a hole He also sat up and happy smiled and let a young girl make a fuss of him …

We are heartbroken to say that our lovely Welsh Boy has travelled across the Rainbow bridge today. For all of you who gave him hugs and cookies, allowed him to lick and slobber over you, we thank you for helping him enjoy the four short years he was with our pack. We love you and Miss you poppet.

Flash has been a part of the family for almost 10 years; today his last day he was 9 years old, 10 months and 1 day. He was the most calm, sweet, friendly dog who would love nothing more than to say hello to new people and make friends. Unfortunately he got kidney cancer and despite surviving the odds after 6 more months his body gave up on him. He was very stubborn too - and the vet thought the only reason he was still with us was because he was a real fighter. I am sure like everyone here who has lost a friend I will miss him so much. I wasn’t with him at the end - I was working, my mum was with him but last night I gave him kisses and told him he w…

14 years ago I brought her home as a gift to my now x-husband. She was thrown out the window of a vehicle on the Highway. A young couple stopped and picked her up. They were not able to keep her so they brought her into my work. Over the years I have had the privilege of helping with babysitting and seeing her on a regular basis. Run free my little golden girl. You are now free from pain. Go run in the fields with your buddy Buzz like you guys used to as pups. He has been waiting for you.

Most of you will have read the piece I wrote about Nishka. It was titled Husky Won't Eat. It turned out that the problem was a rare form of bowel cancer. Unfortunately Nishka tonight lost her fight against this horrible disease. She was my daughters dog and the mother to my boy Charlie. We are all totally devastated but know in our hearts that she is no longer in pain. Run free over Rainbow Bridge sweet girl, Holly, Griff and Skye are waiting for you.

My beautiful Lunar went over the bridge today - he wanted to go out for his morning walk - but only got as far as the gate and just stopped - his legs would not let him go any further. Marley will miss his friend awfully - they were inseparable. We are heartbroken. However we had 14 happy years - and he still recognised us despite the dementia taking most of his personality over the last 6 months. Run free my beatuful friend - you can run again now without pain. Patch, Benson, Kia, Louie and Bernie will be waiting for you on the other side and you can all run together.
