I can't believe it's been 2 1/2 months since Sid left me. He gave me 10 of the happiest years of my life and couldn't have asked for a better friend than him. Some days I feel like it's not fair and he was taken too soon. He was an amazing husky and he will be so missed by Bella and myself. He loved the outdoors and he loved to show off his smile. I'm gonna miss our walks together. I miss and LOVE you lots Sid!! http://youtu.be/sD2gd_FKvzE

But loved belly rubs and cuddles! I havn't seen her since moving up here but remember her alot from when i was younger also i remember walking her once when i was about say 10/11 and let the lead slip and she got into a garden and i had to go get her out lol! So RIP Heidi you will be missed!

At around 5PM EDT in America, Ivanna Lakota, my little girl crossed over the Beifrost to join Tuvok and Apollo with her Mom Dorata and all the generations past. The Tumor was in the spleen a massive thing that spawn two growth in her liver, distorted and invaded her left kidney and pushed her stomach so far against the vertebral column the Doctor could not find it with the ultrasound scan. the amazing thing to eveyone was the absolute lack of symptoms Ivanna presented. She was spry alert ready to go sledding strong you couldn't keep her down! Even the doctor was amazed. I attribute that to a wonderful genetic line and the strength of the breed in general. She passed over …

I've come back to let you all know as of April 11, 2013 at around 11:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time here in America. My Beloved Tuvok crossed over the Bridge to join Apollo. It was extremely sudden. The diagnosis was bi-lateral spontaneous Pneumothorax, in english, both lungs suddenly collapsed due to air leakage from the lung that filled the chest cavity. He went from a healthy looking bouncing 12 yr old puppy to gone in about 4 hours. What started out as slightly labored breathing rapidly developed into pulmonary crisis and left me with no other alternative than to send him over. He looked me straight in the eyes when they gave him the sedative and when that took effect …

A little over a decade ago, my wife and I set off on adventure with some crazy little critters called Sugar Gliders. Not long after getting our first we became a rescue for neglected or unwanted Suggies. One day we received a call from our Vet who informed us of a pair of 5-6 year old "mean" Gliders 45 minutes from our house that the owners needed picked up. Long story short they were primarily a breeding pair that had stopped producing joeys. Once this happened the previous owners had put them up for sale and sold them to a family with young children. The pair named Sachi and Keisha had not been socialized and were little terrors. Needless to say we brought them home wit…

Hi all! for those of you who may remember, I just wanted you all to know that my Sable Siberian, Apollo crossed over the Rainbow bridge Sunday September 2, 2012 at 2:15 PM Eastern Standard Time. I couldn't get this to you sooner for that I apologise. The suspected diagnosis was osteosarcoma located in the right shoulder with possible surrounding tissue involvement. Apollo went from healthy no symptoms to euthanasia in less than one month it happened so very quickly like an avalanche. He was his cheerful bright self up until the very last two days when the pain just got to be too much and all he could do was lie and pant. His diabetes complicated the situation and no amou…

Husky Owner's Prayer. . . If I had one lifetime wish, Just one wish to come true. I would pray to God for yesterday, To again spend time with you. A thousand words can't bring you back, I know because I've tried. And neither will a million tears, I know because I've cried. I have posted this before. Don't know where I first saw it; may have been this very forum. I came across it again a few minutes ago, on Zoya's Web site. Reminds me of our first Husky, Elke. What I would give to have her back. See, now I've started to tear up.

Yesterday morning we found Kain curled up in his home. His eyes and mouth were closed and it looks like he passed peacefully in his sleep. Kain was spoiled rotten, loved to pieces, and shall be greatly missed. R.I.P. Kain.

It will be five years this coming June, that Elke, our first Siberian Husky, left to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes by, that I don't think of Elke. A few months after Elke passed, and we had Zoya, I decided to pen a short story about the experience with Elke. Rather than put the entire story down in one post, I'm going to post a chapter every day or two, in this thread. I hope you will enjoy reading Elke's Story. If you've lost a Husky of your own, maybe you will be able to find some common ground in what we experienced with Elke. Keep in mind, I'm not a literary writer by any stretch of the imagination. Here is Elke's Story from the First Enco…

I follow a group on Youtube and Facebook, Gone to the Snow Dogs. I'm sure most of you have heard about them. They have three beautiful female huskies. For the past few weeks one of their girls, Shiloh, has not been doing so good. And they could not figure out what was wrong with her. Unfortunately Shiloh has passed over the Rainbow Bridge either last night or this morning. I did not know her personally but it breaks my heart when a dog passes away. RIP Shiloh you will be missed by so many.

Smudge is not a Siberian, she is a Border Collie x Kelpie. We got her as a puppy, she was given to us by a friend who saved her from a Vietnamese meat market... she cost him $1! She was a good dog, very protective of my sister and I growing up, liked to herd turtles in the backyard... though it didn't really work well they tended to ignore her. Today my mum told me that she will be getting Smudge put down soon. Her back legs have given out on her and she can't move much. Technically she is not gone yet but my aunt will be taking her to the vet, we don't really trust my mum to take care of it since she threw my dog Chance who died in 2010 in the rubbi…

Once again, I sadly announce another member has joined my Rainbow Bridge Dream Team... Rebel was twelve and a half years young, and was in wonderful health until last spring, when a number of things happened, including a couple of surgeries and the start of a battle with a very persistent bladder infection. He's slowly gotten worse over the last week or so, so with the help of my vet, we let him quietly slip away to the Rainbow Bridge today... Sutula's Never Surrender - "Rebel" February 9, 2000 - November 17, 2012 You will always be missed, Sweetheart!

My beautiful Laska of 15 years passed away from leukemia in August. She just turned 15 on 19th. It was devestating. She was my world. I loved her so much and she gave me so much love back. I could read her and she could also read me. We had an inseparable bond. I miss her so so much.
