Hi Everyone! I'm new here. I have a 6 month old hyper Siberian Husky and his name is Kal-El. He has a very sensitive stomach. Since we got him he has had Giardia. Something he picked up prior to getting him. It's been a battle to get him healthy again but so far so good. He absolutely refused to eat kibble one day and has not tried again since. We have him now on a raw diet. We are two weeks in and so far it's been bumpy but I've seen a difference in him. I'm looking for advice from those who have gone through this stage already and may have tips on how to get him fully on his way to digesting and getting his full dietary count daily. Thank you all in advance!

Hi there everyone- I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Alisha and my fur baby, Misty, is a 5 year old Isabella Husky that my partner and I adopted last November. We really hit the jackpot with her. She is such a sweetheart and her previous owner(s) really took the time to train her well. I've joined this forum just because I would love to be able to speak with other husky owners about concerns or questions I have directly related to owning a husky. It would be wonderful to have a community of like minded dog parents to talk too. So thanks for being here! Looking forward to speaking to everyone 🙂

Hello All, I am the co-resident and supervisor of 2 huskies (does anyone ever "own" a husky, really?). I also have a two year old female pit bull/cattle dog mix named Ginger, but since this is a husky forum I won't focus on her. (Needless to say she is a Very Good Girl. Of course, our 2 huskies think that being good is for chumps). Heidi (F, spayed) will be 2 years old in February. She was a rescue from Alabama. My husband and I adopted her this past winter. She is affable and full of joy and mischief. Apparently my husband and I like dog hair and chaos, because about a month ago we came home with Jasper (M, intact--for now), who is 4 months old and just as ras…

Hello, everyone! My husband, daughter and I are new husky owners as of a week ago! We have much to learn and I'm sure much adventure in store for us with our little husky puppy. :) Ahsoka is a very friendly, loving, playful, and quiet puppy thus far. She only playfully yaps at our cat Obi-Wan Katnobi in fun, and briefly when crated during the night. No barks, no whines, and no talking as of yet from our little girl. She is 10 weeks old today, is cream colored all over with a tarnish over coat, and blackish gray mask, ear tips and coloration down her back. Oh and a cute little spot on the top middle of her tail. We are curious to learn about her coloring (we…

Hi everyone! I'm not actually sure if I'm welcome here - I am owned by a dog, although he isn't 100% husky - he's a labradorxhusky. Labsky? I'm hoping you'll let me stay, as I'm keen to learn more and speak to other husky owners.

Hello! We are new to the forum. I am Kayla and our pup is Aurora. She is adorable and so much energy but i love her a lot. She's also my service dog candidate, as the first week we brought her home she naturally tasked for my disability. She just kind of fell into our lap. She was going to be my partner's at home sd, as she has mobility issues and cant bend down to pick things up off the ground. Wasnt going to train for public access, just help around the house. However, with her tasking for my disability naturally, it opens up so many possibilities with me living a more normal life, so she's my service dog candidate now. Yesterday we took her kayaking. She had a…

Hi my names Tasha and I’m a first time husky owner her name is Luna and she’s 6 weeks old she’s a rescue as her mother ran away and the owners abandoned Luna. We got her last Friday when she was 5 weeks old. We also have a Border Terrier and 5 cats. Luna loves chasing round the cats and dogs and nipping them which we’re trying to nip in the bud as early as possible. Here’s some pictures of her 😁 849B5B83-44A1-4EDF-BD73-DFDF09FDAB1D.MP4

Hello everyone I wanted to introduce myself, me and my wife are first time dog owners and we are currently going through the process of adopting a 2 year old male husky! we’ve done research and we’ve looked through a ton of the forums on this site, especially ones from other first time dog owners and seeing the experiences and responses from experienced husky owners and I have to admit it has put my mind at rest a lot knowing there’s such a supportive community out there to help. We are nervous but more so excited to start this new journey!

Hi! I'm a 24 years old software developer from Finland, I received my puppy Luna 1 day ago. She is now 8 weeks old. I had a welsh corgi pembroke & labrador before when I were younger and lived at parents. You will probably see me around asking questions about training a husky. Sleeping after eating and playing

Not sure if we belong here! Rogue is my 2 year old Husky/Malamute. Rescued from the vets at 9 week old she's soon become my best friend aswell as my 4 year olds. Reading here and have heard mixed ideas on letting Huskys off lead. I let her off down an enclosed walk alongside a railway (no way of getting across).. Am I expecting a runaway Rogue in the future? But hello everyone

Hi everyone, we really need help with a name, we can’t agree on anything! 😫 he’s a handsome little dog and just 5 weeks old right now, we don’t bring him home for another 4 weeks but we’d like an unusual name that compliments his dark colouring, any ideas would be great folks, thanks

Upon reading some of the other forum posts on here I've noticed some identical behaviors in my dog that also describe a pregnant dog. she's losing hair on her belly developing teets and nesting, is always super clingy and its gotten worse as of late. Can anyone tell me what exactly phantom pregnancy is and/ or are these hormonal effects of Skyy still being fully intact at her age (almost four years old), and never having a liter? help oh yeah also... HIII IM SARAH THIS IS MY INTRODUCTION ... story about Skyy and I: Hi, I'm Sarah, first time husky owner located on the south shore of Massachusetts. my husky is Skyy Blue I acquire…

My new baby boy Atlas was claimed to be born last April 22. I would count that he is at least 9 or 10 weeks. It was said that he is wooly. I am just worried because online, it said a pup by this week would be at least 5kg. However, he is only 2.5 kg at the moment. I’m worried he would be a “pomsky” or something and that I was fooled especially since the breeder did not comply with papers...

Can not believe I finally have my own husky. Huskies have always been my favorite breed growing up and my fiancé and I picked Ekko up over the weekend. We got him at 8 weeks old and. He’s super smart, knows how to sit, go outside for the potty, and spin. I would love extra training tips and what’s the main thing you wish you knew when you first got your husky. Thanks everyone

Greetings to all the others on this forum from myself (Conor, card-carrying human and honorary Omega dog of Irish/German/Hawaiian extraction), my wife (from China) and my current two pack members, 'Nala' (black & white) and 'Sooka' (black & white, also spelled 'Suka'). Nala is, by the way, our Alpha. Both are rescues, obtained through the Northern California Sled Dog Rescue (NorSLED.org). A bit of background on us: Wifie and I met about 30 years ago and have kept Siberian Husky dogs ever since, all obtained through NorSLED, as rescues. Not including our present pack-mates, we have had the joy and companionship of 5 other huskies over that time, each absolute…
