I really need some feedback here, My dog was recently diagnosed with giardia, two antibiotics were oriented and his beautiful blue eyes are not blue anymore, they turned brown and the vision has downgraded, any suggestion? Best regards

Hi, new to the forum, my name is Andy and I have a 3 1/2 year old western Siberian Liaka/Husky named Sasha. I got my Sasha from the RSPCA when she had been abandoned for being pregnant, she went on to have eight puppies. She was marked down as a Husky cross, but having spoken to several Russians they've informed me she's definitely a Laika as they have several at home in Russia. This is probably why she was abandoned as she bred with a mastif not another husky. Having had her now for 18months I've come to the conclusion she's certainly different, really well behaved in the house and so gentle, loves to be stroked but not what I'd call affectionate although she does …

Hi everyone! My name is Tarren. My fiancé and I live on the East Coast with our children. We recently added a beautiful new edition to our family in September. His name is Edison (aka Eddy) and he's almost 6 months old. He's (knock on wood) not a talker yet and overall completely mellow. I just wanted to introduce myself and Eddy. Looking forward to future advice!

Hello Husky community, We have just started fostering a 3-year old female Suki (7 days in our home) - she was rescued from a breeding farm here in S. Korea. (the organization that rescued her is worth a look - if your interested and it's allowed I would be happy to pass on info!) Even though we have never had dogs before, we took her because it is very difficult to find foster homes for bigger dogs here in Korea. We happen to live outside the capital, Seoul, and we have access to trails, rice fields, and a park along a canal all near our apartment, so we figured we could take her because we could at least get outside to open spaces We were told by the rescue gro…

She growls and is very posesive towards her toys and food but I’m working on it. I’m expecting to get bitten at some point (she has bitten family members in the past). She knows commands and when she gets comfortable she’s sweet just a lot of energy-she never was taken out to exercise before so now I’m making her run in the dog park and trying to teach her to walk on leash so maybe she can run with me. She is very smart and is learning. My brother and his girlfriend were talking about taking her back after getting a trainer but do you guys think this could work? I really don’t know much about this. She’s unpredictable and already killed a small dog, I don’t trust he…

Hello, My name is Shelley. I live in Northern California. Recently my family (3 college sons, husband and me) adopted a Female Husky from a rescue. She was found during the Northern California wildfires roaming alone, dehydrated, underweight, in heat, dirty and full of stickers. She was taken to an emergency shelter where pets were cared for until their owners could claim and care for them. No one came forward for her. She was in the shelter just over a month. As the shelter closed she was set to be placed in the County Animal Shelter. We were asked to foster and accepted the challenge. We officially adopted her in November. She's scheduled ot be spayed December…

Hello all! We live in Missouri and I just adopted Alpine from a family that could no longer take care of him. I got him in October 2020 at about 8 months old. He is so beautiful and crazy! I love him to death! He does get along with my older dog and my sisters dogs when we go to her farm, I just have to remind him that his sister Dixie (my 12 year old Aussie) gets tired of playing with him very quickly. I have noticed that he likes tearing up plastic grocery bags. He shreds them to pieces! Lol He also seems to have a sensitive stomach. His farts are so smelly! He does well at home not potting in the house, but when we go to the farm he will just pee everywhere. Any advice…

Nice to meet everyone! So glad to find this forum. I have the lovely senior lady, Luna, adopted this year as part of a bonded pair. Her buddy passed unexpectedly, but she has found her inner queen and is adjusting. Even after 40 years with Sibes, I will definitely need some advice on this girl!

Hi all, this is Misha. I grew up with huskies, so when the time came for a new addition, there was no discussion needed, we were getting a husky, especially with 3 kids, 2 of which that are into running and love being outside! Although miss Misha is a mix, mom is a Norwegian Elkhound, she still has all the quirks of a husky And she has her mom's tail, which we all love. Misha was born August 5th, so we are still encountering all her puppy glory, and naughty.

Hi, It’s been going well. She is super mild and friendly and loves everybody!!! Yes everybody! Dogs, humans, cats... anything really. She is also super proud and stubborn. She has been training well but recall is still a major issue. Any tips....

He doesn't look like a traditional husky to me, I'm hoping someone might know if he's mixed, or maybe just a product of "poor breeding". Got this guy free from some backyard breeders who presumably couldn't handle the litter because one of their children had health issues. Kind of a weird situation all around so I'm a little skeptical, but hey you can't complain about a free dog and I'm happy with how he turned out. Briefly met his mom and dad who looked like regular huskies, his dad had similar coloring to him, and mom was black and white, you can see her a little bit in one of the included pics. He's 2 years old now. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone! We're Aoife and Jon and we'd like for you to meet our first husky, Callie! She's 4 months old, about 25 pounds and loves cuddling and sleeping! We're still socializing her but she's doing really well. She was very timid and scared before, even having pee accidents because she was so nervous. But she's slowly coming around and enjoys meeting other dogs. We feed her Blue Wilderness and give her Blue Bits for when she's a good girl. Blue Wilderness is the only thing she seems to eat so we've just stuck to that. We're also still trying to potty train her. We'd take her outside for an 45 minutes but she wont potty. She wont pee or potty on the gras…

Hi! I just got my dream dog recently, her name is Krysh, female husky 2 months old. The breeder showed me her parents, the mom is a standard husky and the dad is a wolly one. I’m just wondering if at this early stage, Krysh will have a wolly fur like her dad or the standard fur like her mom? ☺️ Regardless, me and my partner loves her so much. Thank you all who will respond!

Hello husky family Im Bee and this is Lucifer he is almost 7 months old now.. Just needing some advice pleaseeee. Since the past two months whenever I take him for walks especially when we reache the streets near my house he starts to sink his paws into the ground and he refuses to get up. I've tried using high value treats (different types because I know he gets bored of them) and his toys but none of them get him moving. At time I’ve waiting for about 15 minutes and he still won’t budge.I've tried pulling him lightly cause I don’t want to hurt his neck. He's started to do this outside the gate of our house. I literally have to carry him back home every t…

We never thought it would come to this, but we need your help, helping Osborne. Osborne is an 8-month-old husky, who we rescued. What we know is that Osborne was abused and starved for months, along-side 11 other dogs. We brought Osborne home not knowing exactly what was wrong but also knowing he needed us. We already had a 10-month-old husky (Argos), when we decided to rescue Osborne. They have quickly become the best of friends. They play together, sing/howl/talk together, and even nap together. Their relationship has shown so much love in such a short time. Where Osborne was abused, he needs more help than a regular adopted animal. He suffers from severe P…

Hello everyone, Please meet Kino, he's a 7 months old Siberian Husky male, and has been living with us for just over three weeks now. Although my wife an I both grew up with dogs, he's our first dog as responsible adults. He's an amazing puppy, hard working and always doing his best to please! He does about anything for food - and doesn't really care about petting. Please allow me to outline our daily schedule for your review - I'd love your feedback so that we can improve as needed. We're still learning - Wake-up at 6:00 - Walk from 6:30 to 08:00 - Train ride to the office 08:30 - 09:00 - Work for me / nap time for Kino 09:…

Hi, I am Russ and our new Husky is called Lennon. He is a rescue dog from Dogs Trust and was a stray in Belfast before joining Dogs Trust Merseyside and is about 2 1/2 years old.. We have had him for 2 weeks and what an amazing family dog. Playful, loving and affectionate, a real character. He is our first Husky (had Collies, Labs and Alsatians in the past) Being a stray he does have a few issues, most notably mad on the lead, hates other dogs (probably had to compete with many in the past) and he mouths quite lot, but gently. Obviously we read up as much a we could about the breed before adopting. We were advised to exercise him about 2 ho…
