Introducing yourself (and using the forum in general) is actually pretty simple. But if you havent used a forum before, here is how to make your introduction to get yourself started. First scroll down the page and find the introductions section. Click on this Once you are there, you are in a the introductions 'forum' where you can see all other peoples introductions. You can click to view any of these if you like, but for now, click on "New topic" which is how you will create your own (Ignore the fact I am in the wrong forum here ) From here, creating your introduction is as easy as 1, 2, 3 post Add a title for your…

Hi and welcome to Husky-Owners! This forum was started by myself and my husband Marc in October 2008. I'd just got my first husky, Kimba and wanted to build a forum for like minded husky owners so that we could share our pictures, memories, tears and happiness and everything in between, that comes from being owned by this magnificent breed. I now have 3 gorgeous boys As this place grew, we started arranging meets in local areas which then turned into taking holidays together. We now have "Husky Camp" once a year in the UK and in Iowa in the US where we go on walks, play games, have awards, and at night when the dogs are tired we sit around a camp fire having a drink…

We are looking for any advice or input to help us with a 3 year old Husky that is a fence jumper. I am a dog walk at a retirement community in San Antonio, Texas. I walk a 3 year old Husky a mile a day for an elderly resident. Maya is excellent on leash but I’m concerned that she needs more exercise and mental stimulation. The problem we have is the area on property has a 4 foot fence that she can clear. She has also started jumping her fence as soon as they let her outside. She just wants to run! We talked about invisible fencing for the yard but I think she will blow through it. She is very strong willed, I don’t think it will detour her. I have visited ideas…

Hi all I have got a 7 year old Siberian, a black cat and 3 daughters. It can be a bit of a mad house at times but love it really! I tried training him when he was a pup and seemed to fail miserably. He ate his way through £1500 of items in his first 6months. Off leash become a no no unless its on the farm without a dog within 1000m. He still pulls like a train. He's never got how roads work. He still struggles with table manners. He will steal your food given the chance you look away. Quite a character but its who he is and we love him. How did you get on training yours?

2 years ago I saw a post on NextDoor (a neighborhood chat app) with the first picture below and the post read "found her tied to a pole with a sign around her neck that read "free dog, Name is Bella, take her home please" and I knew instantly that she was my girl. We have been inseparable ever since. I won't say it's been easy, but it has been totally worth it! She is the best! She's a good girl and she is so very smart! I just love her and will do anything for her! I found this forum while looking to figure out what to feed her. She's very picky and recently she's been very itchy and now she has shed so much, it's concerning. I just saw here that could be from too mu…

This is our girl Teyla. She just turned 1 last week. We have everything from crate training, potty pads, Kong’s toys, Cheyenne pepper etc. nothing has seemed to work! We’ve had to put baby gates up all around the house! We’ve had such a beautiful backyard and now it looks like we live in the dessert which causes lots of dirt in the house! I literally clean everyday! I feel like my house is disgusting! We’ve tried everything. I understand that huskys are high energy but with a 6 year old and both parents working full time it is not very often that we could take her for a walk and when we do she pulls nonstop! I have the hardest and a martingale collar (not used at the same …

Hello Everyone, im a new member here. We just got our first Husky. She has a wild personality and is a very good pup so far. Any tips or advice i can receive from all of you expert husky owners is greatly appreciated. Also im looking for a little information about her coat. We were out walking her the other day and someone had walked over and told us that she is among some of the rarest color coats along with having both blue eyes. I myself had or have no idea. We knew she was pretty but i have no knowledge of husky coat colors. Just looking for any information i can get . Thanks. This is Nova she has just turned 5 months old.

My name is Sharon and I have a female husky called Luna who is 3 and a half. She is a stubborn so and so but very loving and I wouldn't have her any other way. She (as are many) is very fussy with her food and eats really slowly - whereas my daughters male husky is like a hoover - LOL.

Hi everybody. Are Sarah and Mark and Duncan still around here somewhere? this is Erika. chewy my husky x mal has gone over the rainbow bridge, and Kiyah the husky went over rainbow bridge. I can’t believe it’s been enough years for that, but it has. I haven’t come on husky owners forum for quite a long time but I’m back. now, it’s me and tank my Klee Kai. He’s about 2 and a half, and a really adorable little boy. Hes extremely spoiled and generally goes wherever I go. I have changed my name since the divorce from Erika to Lucy. And that’s Tank.

Hi everyone, We brought Mitch home on 4th March when he was 4 months. He is doing great in some areas and not so great in others. He is our first dog and everyone says we shouldn't have a Husky first but when you fall for him what can you do. We are hoping he is just having a few new pup issues, he is already fixated on our son and is weary of everyone else in the house. His feeding is a little hit and miss we're doing 3 meals a day and he's not always that interested. But that might be as he does quite well on the (healthy) treats front. He's not done a numbers 2 today but I'm wondering if that is because they were a bit runny yesterday sometime…

Hi all! I think I'm doing the introduction in the right place. The mobile menus look quite a bit different than Marc's desktop photos. I've had huskies for 10 years now and I love them! Came across this forum while looking for some specific info and decided to join up 🙂 I currently have 3 red huskies. One of each coat type, ironically they are family. I have a standard, wooly, and the in between, sometimes referred to as plush. Mom is the plush, daughter is standard, son is wooly. However, the wooly still has the course guard hairs as well as the undercoat, but his hair is just 4in long. So I'm honestly not sure if he's technically a "wooly" snow does not s…

Hello all, I haven’t been on here in forever but thought I would give everyone an update. I’ve been a member since I got my first husky in 2012. After the loss of two of my three huskies over the last two years I have made the decision to adopt a new puppy! He came from the same rescue organization as Kodiak (who passed away in March). Meet Denali! He’s about 3-4 months old so I’m working on potty and crate training. I’ve forgotten how tough it is!!

Hello from Southern Maryland, Like I said I just adopted a giant 3 year old, 110 plus pound all white Siberian Husky male with blue eyes. I already knew that I wanted to adopt Romo from e mails and photos and they said he was large. OK.. I figured 70 maybe 75 pounds , heck my Collie Shepherd mix is 67 pounds. When I finally meet Romo in person he is 110 plus pounds, still do not know his exact weight but will this weekend when take him to vet to get up to date on all shots. I had him stand next to my neighbors 90 pound Golden Retriever and he is much much larger. Last owner got him at 8 weeks old and have paper work that both parents were Siberian Husky but no …

Hiya everyone !! I'm Wrench, a newbie owner of two 6-month-old huskies called Bolt (white) and Freddy (grey). Huskies have been my favourite breed since I was a kid, but I never thought I'd be lucky enough to own one, let alone two. We got Bolt back in October, didn't plan on getting another as we already have two other dogs and two cats but an opportunity fell into our hands last week and now we have Freddy!

Hello All We have recently adopted a dog advertised as a mixed bread but as he gets older (5 months old now) he definitely looks like an Isabella Husky. He is our 4th dog and a has a mind of his own (which I love) but we are finding somethings are challenging such as potty training. Are these dogs easy to potty train or are they stubborn learners, a little insight would be nice. Other than the potty training and still mouthing a bit he is a quick learner and a lot of fun around the house. Thanks
