We aren’t new to Huskies, but when our last one died (14 years ago) he took part of my husband’s heart. We now have a bonded pair who are almost 10 months old. Thor and Loki. Plus we have an 11 yo Aussie named Pippa who hates their guts... She was mourning her brother’s death when we got the pups so we thought she’d bond with them, but sadly she hasn’t. I guess I don’t have a lot of questions - just introducing myself. ☺️

Hi all! Complete newbie to forums & huskies! I own 4 dogs (greyhound, collie & 2 lab x rotties) and in the past 3 years been involved with canicross, bikejor and recently scooter! I am starting to research breeders as i am wanting to expand my pack and go into nordic siberian husky sledding! I have been around huskies at rallies, sledding in Finland so understand the breed and what they require... now is the hard part of finding a reputable breeder and a pup that will fit into my odds n' bods pack! Any advice is welcome I look forward to talking to you all!

Hi all. I have a 3 year old wooly husky named Miya. I adopted her a year and a half ago and wish I’d found this sooner! I love having a husky but didn’t realize how much there was to know about the breed. Here’s to learning more, cheers!

I love the breed and all the goofiness that goes along with it. While they’re a lot of work to train, it’s well worth it in the end. My real question is the type of husky that our new little one is. I never realized that you have the regular, shorter haired ones, plush and wooly. After a little research I see a lot of people saying that wooly huskies shouldn’t be bred and I don’t have any plans on breeding mine at all anyways. I’m hoping that a few more experienced owners/breeders can weigh in and tell me if they think mine is a wooly or not. I know it’s tough to tell because she’s 14 weeks old right now so she’s still 100% puppy, floof and all!

Hi, my name’s Craig and I just accidentally discovered this forum by accident while looking up photos of huskies which might look good as iPhone wallpaper. I’m an artist, and I had a purebred Siberian Husky for 15 years. I named him Skywise. I love animals and have had many different kinds over the years, including several dogs and cats of all kinds. But none of them ever came close to being as spectacular as Skywise was. It’s hard to briefly describe here without going into the whole story, but after trying to prepare myself for raising a baby male husky with both personal experience and books on the breed back in 1991, nothing could prepare me for ho…

Hello my name is Miguel, My husky is 4 years old i rescued him 2 years ago and we have been dealing with seasonal allergies for 2 years . We did an intradermal skin test and he is possitive for several allergen like: trees ( oak mix, white pine and box elder), weeds, molds And housedust mite. He has been treated several time for secondary bacteria infections because of the allergies, he is under medication with Oral allergens for SLIT, in my opinion the oral allergens is making him more ichi and the apoquel is not working anymore at this time im giving him antibiotic ,benadryl and steroids. It is frustrating to have him under medication all th…

Hello! I’m Jazmine and I recently adopted a two month old husky pup who we named Bleu. She’s an absolute sweetheart and definitely full of energy. She’s my first husky, as my other dog is a Yorkie. I’ve loved the breed since my childhood but, as my Yorkie required little training (he is relatively responsive and easily corrected), I definitely have my work cut out for me! Nonetheless, I am determined to give her the best life possible and I’d love for any and all advice on diet, exercise/mental stimulation, socialization, and, most importantly, training. Below is baby Bleu! Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Hi Everyone! I'm new here. I have a 6 month old hyper Siberian Husky and his name is Kal-El. He has a very sensitive stomach. Since we got him he has had Giardia. Something he picked up prior to getting him. It's been a battle to get him healthy again but so far so good. He absolutely refused to eat kibble one day and has not tried again since. We have him now on a raw diet. We are two weeks in and so far it's been bumpy but I've seen a difference in him. I'm looking for advice from those who have gone through this stage already and may have tips on how to get him fully on his way to digesting and getting his full dietary count daily. Thank you all in advance!

Hi there everyone- I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Alisha and my fur baby, Misty, is a 5 year old Isabella Husky that my partner and I adopted last November. We really hit the jackpot with her. She is such a sweetheart and her previous owner(s) really took the time to train her well. I've joined this forum just because I would love to be able to speak with other husky owners about concerns or questions I have directly related to owning a husky. It would be wonderful to have a community of like minded dog parents to talk too. So thanks for being here! Looking forward to speaking to everyone 🙂

Hello All, I am the co-resident and supervisor of 2 huskies (does anyone ever "own" a husky, really?). I also have a two year old female pit bull/cattle dog mix named Ginger, but since this is a husky forum I won't focus on her. (Needless to say she is a Very Good Girl. Of course, our 2 huskies think that being good is for chumps). Heidi (F, spayed) will be 2 years old in February. She was a rescue from Alabama. My husband and I adopted her this past winter. She is affable and full of joy and mischief. Apparently my husband and I like dog hair and chaos, because about a month ago we came home with Jasper (M, intact--for now), who is 4 months old and just as ras…

Hello, everyone! My husband, daughter and I are new husky owners as of a week ago! We have much to learn and I'm sure much adventure in store for us with our little husky puppy. :) Ahsoka is a very friendly, loving, playful, and quiet puppy thus far. She only playfully yaps at our cat Obi-Wan Katnobi in fun, and briefly when crated during the night. No barks, no whines, and no talking as of yet from our little girl. She is 10 weeks old today, is cream colored all over with a tarnish over coat, and blackish gray mask, ear tips and coloration down her back. Oh and a cute little spot on the top middle of her tail. We are curious to learn about her coloring (we…

Hi everyone! I'm not actually sure if I'm welcome here - I am owned by a dog, although he isn't 100% husky - he's a labradorxhusky. Labsky? I'm hoping you'll let me stay, as I'm keen to learn more and speak to other husky owners.

Hello! We are new to the forum. I am Kayla and our pup is Aurora. She is adorable and so much energy but i love her a lot. She's also my service dog candidate, as the first week we brought her home she naturally tasked for my disability. She just kind of fell into our lap. She was going to be my partner's at home sd, as she has mobility issues and cant bend down to pick things up off the ground. Wasnt going to train for public access, just help around the house. However, with her tasking for my disability naturally, it opens up so many possibilities with me living a more normal life, so she's my service dog candidate now. Yesterday we took her kayaking. She had a…
