Hi, Im excited to get to know and learn from other Husky parents. Although we did a lot of research before adopting our boy, it seems there is so much to learn about their personality.

Hi everyone I have an almost 3 year old red husky named Pizza. We live in Northern Virginia and I've had him since he was about 4/5 months old and got him from a family who could not care for him properly. He's your typical high energy, goofy, husky and the absolute love of my life. On June 18 of this year (2020) Pizza had his first seizure at about 5:30/6am. I was sleeping and was woken by the sound of him vomiting and immediately after he tipped over and started having a grand Mal seizure. I have never seen a dog or human have a seizure and went I into absolute hysterics. I ran to him to try and comfort and sooth him because I had no idea what was going on. Th…

Hi guys I have bought a husky and it has a big ears. Is that a pure husky? I saw pictures of husky having triangular ears but he has big bat ears. He's a sweet pup though but when he cries he cries like a baby! He looks like a raccoon or a rat though!

Hi, nice to meet you! I've recently found out that my girlfriend wants a husky. We live toghether, so it's an important decision. I decided to make her a surprise, so I'll buy a puppy very soon. It's so cool that such forums exist and I can find here a lot of info about these beautiful dogs!

Hi there, let me introduce you to my 6 year old boy alaskan malamute/husky mix Kyto that we recently adopted from the shelter.Kyto has been abused 3 times by several owners (heavily abused) and neglected, he also lived outside, in all weather, in a very small bench in which he spent more than 8 hours a day locked up! (I think it's terrible). These owners also brought him back three times to the shelter, each time at a different location for different reasons. Now we have Kyto with us for 4 months and we are still very happy with that to date. When we wanted to adopt him, Kyto was not yet available for adoption as investigations had to be made because the caregivers …

We’ve actually been members since February but haven’t posted anything yet but now’s a good time as any. This is Lilo, we got her at 8 weeks in Feb and now she’s a strong 7 months. She loves to cuddle, swim, and no rabbit stands a chance. I can’t believe we waited this long to get a husky but our family is in love. IMG_1020.mov

This is Rocko. My husband surprised me with him about two and a half months ago. He’s a little monster sometimes but he is my best little buddy He’s made this pandemic and all the uncertainty in the world much more bearable and is the reason for many of my smiles and the only reason I get any exercise.

NOTE: In the beggining, first few pictures and part of the post, is almost one year old , I'll copy paste it, so I won't have to rewrite it again Me and my Conan are new here. I think this forum is amazing, I'm reading it over a year now, when I finally got my first husky I decided to register. Conan. In Celtic origin meaning "little wolf" and in the form conan means “”little warrior.” That's what he is, wolf by soul, warrior by nature. Dream catcher because he caught my dreams. Ever since my samoyed Nala died I wanted a siberian. She was my first dog and she passed away almost 2 years ago. I always admired northern breed…

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself and say I have a rescue Husky/malamute cross. He's 6, his name is Moose and I got him from the Dog's Trust in Kenilworth at the beginning of February. And he's currently a mahoosive pita, tbh (see my thread in the behaviour section).

Hi all - joined this forum for some serious advice. My 7 month husky has recently started to pee and defecate just inside our patio door. During the day, this is usually the door we use to let him out into the garden to do his business. I take him out for his last pee around 11.30/12.00 late at night and then around 6am. He rarely had accidents during the night and would easily hold for up to 7 hours. But recently I’ve been coming down to a heavy puddle of pee and mess. I cannot think what has happened recently to trigger this change. I’ve kept his feeding to a schedule, I pick his food bowl and water up as suggested. He gets plenty of regular exercise during the day and …

Hi everyone, I would like to reintroduce us. We have been dormant on the forum for years and are sorry to have disappeared. My name is Alan and our little girl is Ela-Yona (earth bear in cherokee). Today is 7 years since she was rescued and became our little girl. We all had growing pains but she is truly one of the family. She even has a cat in her pack. When we first joined I had no idea what we were in for. Research on the internet and even going to a husky rescue will only tell half the tail haha. Thank you all for being here and we promise not to stay away so long.

Hi, at the beginning of March 2020, my family decided to take in a Husky from an owner (who was 18, that broke up with his girlfriend and couldn’t or wouldn’t take care of her) that was giving her Stella away rather than see her go to our local shelter. We were told she was a full blooded husky but papers couldn’t be obtained due to family arguments. So my husband fell in love with her at first sight! What we were not told by the teen was she was in her first heat and she was less than a year old, had not been given any shots, and was full of worms. Two days after taking her to the vet to get her healthy and get advice on the first heat situation...she ESCAPED! Needless …

Hey! We’re new to the husky game and it’s definitely been different. This weirdo randomly showed up in our yard and had been on the streets for a bit. Now he’s glued to my side and has even learned the sound of my car pulling up to our apartment lol

Hey All, I am a new husky mama located in Nashville Tennessee and I am needing some advice from you all that have more experience with caring for your pup. Blaze is currently 4 days old and I will be welcoming him into my home on June 26th. I have a 2 year old daughter, and I wanted her to have a forever fur friend she can grow up with. I am going to consider him my son and her little brother lol. I chose a husky because of their loyalty. I wanted a dog that would be a great companion for me and my daughter. I decided to get a puppy so I can watch him grow up to be the majestic dog I know he will be. Before he arrives, do you have any advice for me? I want to make s…

Hi all! I am Gian and my husky's name is Didi. We are from Manila, Philippines. I'm glad to see a forum dedicated for raising these huskies. I am an avid fan of this breed. Didi is born on Jan. 21, 2020. Right now, she is 9 weeks old and weighs 5.53 KG. Here are some pics of her 😃 She is actually my second husky. Unfortunately, my first one, Sean, passed away. Didi is delight to have and thank you in advance for welcoming us here!
