Evening folks, My pup was neutered today and he seemed to have taken to his head cone rather well - or so I thought. I just went to adjust it to make it one notch tighter - and he went for my hand and came very close to breaking my skin in one place. I know he could do a lot of damage should he want to - and I'm trying to put myself in his shoes, having a strange thing on my head for the first time that stops me from walking and seeing properly - but I'm wondering should I be worried because he reacted in this way? Or is it just a culmination of the traumatic day and pain he's most likely in. He's never done it before. Thanks.

No, it's not his 2nd birthday yet, that is in 6 days, but I took him to the new dog park (thats almost an hours drive) and he did so well with loads of dogs & people that he got his very first OFFLEAD outing!!! So very much excited, he behaved well, even went up to a few people AND came back when I called him like 30% of the time, but he came the times it mattered! So all the hard work is finally starting to show off in him!!! Thanks so much for all the support I got on here, it really helped to keep going, even if it looks like its not working! Will post lots of photos later this afternoon! Sent from my ALE-L21 using Husky Owners mobile app

Ok , so this handsome boy was outside on a leash , as you can see . He is super skinny and has lots of fleas . Me and my boyfriend are thinking of buying him from his stupid owner that clearly doesn't even care about him . Here is a picture of him [emoji7] K A R I

or are they? Cai had his appt this morning for his annual booster, took Luka as I wanted to have them both weighed. Upon arrival they were nearly bitten by a jack Russell, then a staffie was growling and snarling at them, the owner had to take it out. A second jack Russell was barking and growling and finally a huge mastiff tried to run at them... and through all of that Cai didn't react, he was just looking in bemusement I think, Luka growled back at the mastiff, and the point to the story is Cai and Luka get to have 10.15 appts, when the morning surgery is closed!! I got the feeling the receptionist would have given me her bank card if I'd asked her nicely.

So Astro hasn't really warmed to Koda, there has only been a couple of fights but usually Astro likes his own space and grumbles and moves if Koda comes anywhere near him. But since Astro came back from the vets on Friday there has definitely been a change, and today they have been curling up next to eachother! I don't know what's changed but it's nice to see [emoji4] Excuse the state of my bed haha (or it could be the dogs bed, there is some debate on that) Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Hi everyone! I'm a first time husky owner an I have a 10 month old bitch Siberian Husky. I've never bred a dog before and I was just wondering if any of you have any advice or can answer a few questions? When is best to breed? How do you care for/what are the special requirements for a pregnant husky? How much does it usually cost on average? Do I need to get Kiara (my husky) any particular shots or medicated food etc? Any help/contributions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chloe Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Hi all , was hoping to get some advice/tips. I have owned Husky's for about 7 years, however my recent addition to the fold has baffled me. When ever we go out for a walk she goes absolutely mental. As soon as her harness is moved she is off, screaming , barking and whaling away, completely hysterical My other boys used to get excitable and fairly vocal however, this is on another level. I have tried lots of different methods, putting her harness on but not going out and waiting until she calms down, making her stop until settled , treats when walking. I have also taken her out different times and done a few random walks during the day and each time we go it's t…

We recently lost one of our (6) cats. Mister was our diabetic ebony loud and snuggled bug. He was fussed over the most over most of our other cats; frankly because he demanded attention with his lonesome wails if he for an instant felt forsaken.Smokey, our husky, and Mister explicitly on occasion would quarrel with each other. Our husky has a heck of a prey drive but Mister would simply roll over and meow at him if Smokey ever partook in his prey like pouncing nonsense. It was quite the spectacle because despite the seemingly threatening nature of their 'fights' one could tell they were the best of buddies...Ever since we lost Mister, my husky does not want to come inside…
