The law is clear on putting a lead on your dog in public places but I think it should apply to ALL places in public, from when you leave your house to when you arrive home. There are places to take our fur babies for an off lead run, granted not as many as we'd all like. Another off lead incident this morning, this time a charging off lead pit bull, whose owner was elderly, too busy lighting up his cigarette to notice. My two on the extending lead, I saw it running towards us, barking and growling, I pulled my two in and amazingly I kept calm, the owner called his dog, dog ignored and both Cai and Luka reacted aggressively, growling, hackles up, dragging me, the dog s…

Last weekend on my evening walk I came across another husky which I have only seen once before and the owners advised to keep my distance which I did. This time they kept there distance but I asked them if they would like to try to introduce them both. They said ok and we went to introduce them. First attempt first attempt was bad and theirs went straight for Mowgli but the second and third were ok. They were both ON LEADS so the first sign of growling we pulled them apart. The fourth attempt was where we got the problem. I was slightly downhill on a slope and Mowgli was between my legs so I had limited room to move if anything happened. Guess what... the other dog done h…

We've all seen and laughed at those you tube videos of huskies throwing a tantrum. Not quite so funny today when it was ours lol. We had a lovely walk around Haughmond Hill met lovely dogs and lovely people. By the carpark there is a cabin which is a toilet facilities and a lovely basic cafe and I'd promised other half a bacon butty when we got there only when we got there we found it was closed today. Solo likes his walk and knows we stop for a butty, he gets a bit of sausage, and was disgusted it dared be shut so threw himself onto the floor screaming! Tbh thought he'd hurt himself but it soon became obvious that it was temper when he flung himself towards cafe door (s…

A' morning everyone! Simka here barking that boy oh boy I can't wait to see what mommy comes back in the house with from our garden! She went outside with a big bag and I hope when she comes back it is full of cukes, peppers, and tomatos! This was going to be the last year she planted one, because we have not had any luck growing anything for years; unless you consider weeds and ant hills a success Well, I wanted to let everyone know that I am proud of my new buddy Snickers. He had to go to the Vets again yesterday. He managed to get a big wood splinter up inside his paw, and Carol could not get all the pieces out. So Rachel took him over. Oh, and btw: She s…

Good evening all! Simka here barking that it sure has been a while! I hope all you huskies and humans are enjoying the nice weather and having a fun and safe time! Mommy took a little extra time off from work to help me get more exercise. See, this winter i got a little plump. Well, we have been swimming in our pool, walking at the dog park and university trails, AND going to the beach! I am super active, and soon will not be a "husky" husky! Haha oh, and mommy found me an awesome life jacket from chewy.com this is the info: https://www.chewy.com/paws-aboard-blue-yellow-neoprene-dog/dp/136221 You can't be too careful!!! My son and I took Olaf to the local park and dog beach for the first time this week. (We've only had him for two weeks now.) He did great; he was such a good boy! He sniffed around a lot, interacted with the other dogs there, and stepped in the water a bit. (We did not let him off his lead.) He seemed to enjoy himself and we were very proud of him, as he is typically very shy.

Arjun is now 10 months and coming along nicely. One problem we have is that he gets very excited when he is walking on the lead and sees other dogs on lead. He gets up onto his back legs and whines like crazy. It seems worse with other huskies. Is this normal? When will it stop? He ous quite powerful now so it is hard to hold him back sometimes! Any help would bee appreciated. Sent from my SM-G935F using Husky Owners mobile app

Had quite a shock today, - whenever I've mentioned Lunar, my Utonagan (Husky/Mal heritage) I've said he was around 8 or 9 - but today I was trawling through some old photographs. Below you will see the first on-line photo I saw of Lunar, before I found out his history the next is when we first got him and then at two years old I checked the date of the first photograph we took of him (2nd photo) - and it was 24th June 2006 - so Lunar is now 11 years old. We think he was 12 weeks old when we got him - so he must have been born around the beginning of April. Not bad for an old man of 11 - happy…

Just downloaded the Reddit app on my phone and was watching a video of a jack Russell trying to put about 6 or 7 kittens back Into their basket, they kept running off and she'd catch them and put them back and they'd run off again. She was so gentle with them you'd think they were her pups. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Took the gal out for a short walk in the park last night, and unfortunately for Me the squirrels had been out in force. Phoenix is completely obsessed and attempted to shimmy up a tree. I am convinced the squirrels had been egging her on , for the remainder of the walk Phoenix had been on squirrel watch and spent most of her time looking in the trees [emoji23] bless her Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Dear All potential Indi Dog purchasers, i have ordered items from indi dog approximately 4 weeks ago to the day. I have yet to see the items, however i am assured that the wait is well worth it. One of my challenges that i have right now is i am in urgent need of the items to help me walk my huskies. Another challenge i have is i need to buy new harnesses, but cannot wait 4 weeks minimum for them to arrive. So this is likely to prevent me from ordering harnesses from indi dog. I wast able to afford them when i ordered the walking belt and lead. The feedback for indi dog is excellent, so those who wish to make a purchase, please do so, but do not f…

As it was cooler early this morning I decided to take Cai and Luka for a long walk by the river, they've missed out on long walks with it being so hot, so I packed my bag and off we went. A few dog owners had the same idea, 2 dogs off lead, my two on the lead and the head harnesses on as they're pulling like mad prob because they've missed a few walks with the heat. So the two dogs are running in front not bothering my two so I relax a little, a second later this springer spaniel comes bounding out of the river at top speed towards us with the owner shouting 'don't worry she's friendly' What a bleeping idiot! I barely had time to pull them towards me, the leads are ta…
