My closest friend is currently struggling to get his kitty some much needed surgery so I am asking for prayers to keep her strong until we can get this taken care of. She is 15yrs old and I've known her that long long time. She's spry, hunts like a 2yr old kitty, and still gives those snarky youngsters a good tail whipping when they get out of line. She's got so much personality and life still in her she just needs a boost for the moment. She has a tumor in one of her paw pads and will need surgery to remove it and probably some toes. He is on disability so right now it's a call to arms around us to get some good prayer and healing chains going to keep her strong until he…

Warning: vid is a tear jerker for sensitive types. Mods hope this is the right spot sorry if it's not LOL I know alot of people on here are really great with interpreting dog behavior so I thought this video would make an interesting discussion. My question while watching this is two fold I guess. First when the dog is baring it's teeth wouldn't the attention being shown during this highly stressful period reinforce bad behavior even if it is trying to bring the dog into a better frame of mind? Second question is I know that alot relies on a dog's default temperament but could a dog that showed such unsure and fearful behavior really come around that quickly a…

So these are some shots of Tenchi running around the yard. He had his first ever haircut (cut by us O.o) about a month ago so he's a little less furry than he was for winter lol. So here's the little bugger running crazy through the yard.

Enter the ferret This is a little tribute to a life that touched my heart and brightened my days like no other. Just because I love him, and I will never forget him. XXX These are some of the first photo's I snapped of Chip, he was about 11 weeks when I met him, he was a chance find as I stumbled across an advert at a bootfair. when I went to see the litter of kits I was flabbergasted, the guy took me into his conservatory which was full of runs, shelves and hutches, he then opened one of the hutches and I had about 30, 11 week old ferrets swarming over my feet. …

Buddy with Shadow age 5 months. Though I work from home, I have trouble getting stuff done....

I am still, after a little less than a year of being a member, trying to figure out which dog(s) belong to whom, as well as trying to discover potential friends and ‘soul mates’ amongst our huge array of members (and new growing members). I wondered if I put up a post in the other pets section, others might also contribute more frequently rather than wandering off to other sites. For example, I can offer a lot of advice about Siamese cats and to some extent, Lineolated Parakeets and tortoises, so please feel free to ask. In the interim, here are some pic’s of our little old man (Leo – a Seal Point Siamese) and Yoshi, our hand tamed Lin…

So since I cant afford it for now she just re-hydrated her and sent me home with some medicine and wet food. She was doing better when she got home but shes still not eating, the medicine we got was supposed to give her an appetite but it hasnt she just threw up again and shes just laying in the crate I dunno what else to do...I'm thinking about using a syringe to feed her some wet food mixed with water or something

So oddly enough, earlier today I was reading another site that I frequent and came across a post where someone mentioned these dogs. I hadn't heard of them before, they are a fairly new breed. anyone else heard of them or had any experience with them? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamaskan_Dog

While I was on my way to school I saw this amazingly GIANT dog. at first I thought it was a chow chow but I made up my mind that that big ass dog couldn't possibly be a chow. It had brown coat just like a chow, It was thick really really thick and the dog was wayy bigg. Bigger than a malamute. it couldn't be a st bernard for the face fully resembles A CHOW so what could be the breed? I thought of it, it may be a caucasian ovcharka but the face is a bit different. what do you guys say?

so my little meow girl is almost 2 years old now and i know for a fact she is, and has been for a long time, well aware of how to use her litter box. since we moved to our new house in october she has developed a nasty habit of pooping (not peeing) BESIDE her litter box. She's only 7lbs so it's not too small for her and i clean it daily (only a one cat household, and she only poops once a day so i dont really think thats the issue) if anyone else has had this issue and solved it i need help!!

For the last few mornings, I've spotted a guy out in the local park battling with his dog's blown coat. He explained to me that he does this in the park because the little birds are picking up the fur and using it for their nests. I thought this to be a really good idea, especially as I have a soft spot for wildlife, so just thought I'd share it with everyone.

Where I have moved to we have a horse, Poppy, accommodated in a paddock next to us which I pass daily when I walk my 3 boys and can see the paddock from our house. I have met the owner once in the month we have been here. My concern is that from what Ive seen the owner only appears to be coming down once a week to Poppy!!! The signs that im getting that from is once a week there is a load of hay left for her and her water bucket is filled. Every other day of the week, apart from the one day of the week, her water bucket is totally empty and I see no signs of him being down to her or see him about. Im worried for the horses welfare and h…

Not sure how to deal with this latest development in Diesel's behavior but here goes. One of my neighbors has been having serious domestic violence issues and it got pretty rough this afternoon (the sooner I move the better cops are a common back drop here) and it got to the point stuff was falling off the walls. I'm used to random thuds, bangs, and wall shakes so I kept calm and just moved the stuff until the cops showed up and cooled them down again (or arrested one of them again whichever) but Diesel just freaked. He started panting excessively and shaking like a leaf. Pacing, whining, the whole nine yards. He's never done this before but they haven't shaken the entire …
