He's had a few mins running around much to the dogs dismay as they were firmly behind the fence He'll be shedding on his face soon - you can see the dull changes on some of his scales

I just took portraits of my daughters and on a whim we brought our dog Goliath along. He is Mr Perfect Recall so he gets to roam with us off leash when we're in isolated areas. Its so fun watching him lope around happily and stop to pose in the photos. How I wish I could get the huskies to do the same! Sometimes having this loyal guy to contrast my huskies with gets the huskies accusatory glances and "why can't you behave like this?"

So I don't post very often now, but some of you don't know that I'm now a ferret owner as well, so I thought I'd introduce you to my boy Clortho! At the moment he is living by himself. Here's a video of Clortho playing: And then in a months time when I return from Ipswich, just before my birthday, I'll be adopting Emily and her two beautiful jill kits from a ferret rescue. This is Emily: And the little dark girl is Ferrero and then light girl is Crunchie (Mini Aleu as she will be the same colour as Aleu when she's an adult) and if that's not cute enough for you, here's a video of them for you: Stacey xxx

Hello, this is the first time I've mentioned this, but I actually have more than one dog. My other dog, which is my dad's, is a cocker spaniel mix. 4 years old. Male. He was neutered the same day as Jack. However, his recovery is odd. It's been two weeks now. His cone has been taken off, he doesn't lick at the wound, but I've very worried for various reasons: - his surgical site had been bleeding a bit here and there for the first few days after his surgery. It has stopped recently - he drinks water and will go out to pee, but he will not eat his food by himself - for the first few days he ate with a little help (the cone was a bit big), then we had to switc…

Just feeding the animals at school, just like we do every day... And that includes these guys. Don't scroll down if you're easily creeped out by little insects and the likes No seriously Yes. The school keeps these too (Death's head cockroaches) and it's our task to feed them! They're not dangerous or scary at all, maybe just a bit creepy looking from up close. A lot of of people are afraid of them and don't even dare to look at them. I just don't get it. There is a boa constrictor in a cage below nobody seems to have an issue with when carrying around... Anyway, I just l…

I've mentioned once or twice that I've taken in and fostered a few dogs in the past. Well I found some photos of one of the pit bulls I fostered about 4 years ago. We named her Akasha and sometimes called her Kashi for short. She was picked up from the side of the road a few counties away from where we live. Pit bulls were banned there so we had the time and funds to take her in until we could find a suitable home. She had a bump on her rib and it was believed it had been broken in the past. Its believed that she was dumped out of a car one night. She was a very sweet girl and was only with us for a few months before we found a great forever home. She loved other dogs and…

So I pull up to work this morning and a girl i work with is on her knees looking under a car. I out of curiosity go over and ask her what she's doing. She tells me there is a kitten with a broken leg under the car and she was trying to get it out. We decide on trying to get it out together. She started clapping her hands and i grabbed the kitten when it scooted back. Our boss (animal lover) told us to go ahead and get it the help it needed. We headed off to the animal shelter because we had no other choice. I'm deathly allergic (i have asthma attacks from cats) and i was already sneezing so the poor little guy had to go somewhere. We got to the shelter around 8:45 this…

Lol! I wasn't sure whether or not to post this here or in general health; Mange is Mange I guess, whatever the breed, but here goes. I got an email from my mum this morning and she mentioned that her 1 year old dog still has mange. I asked her what the vet was treating it with since I was aware of the dog having a skin condition many, many months ago, so it surprised me to hear that it is still ongoing. After a couple of replies to my emails, I asked her to post me some pic's and write a brief history so that I could post it on here. TBH, I haven't seen Mange in over 20 years, and the treatment for it, as I recall, was a chemical in a large plastic container that wa…

Loki is 5 months old now. He is the sweetest dog ever. Unfortunately, he is terrified by loud noises. I live on a somewhat busy blacktop. So, he is afraid of the grain trucks, tractors, big lawnmowers, and weed eaters. I can't move. Is there a possibility that he will get used to it? Don't get me wrong, he is mostly happy. I just want to find a way to lessen his fear of loud noises.

He posted this on FB today Cleo's tumor removal surgery went well, however the biopsy result came back as Fibrosarcoma. Now two weeks after surgery, the site is not healing, her 'pinky' toe next to the site is dead, the toe on the other side is either enflamed or developing a new tumor. Due to the fact that it is not healing I have to take her in every 3-4 days to get bandages changed. Dr. Spath said the best bet for no tumor to grow back and for her to be healthy for years to come is to amputate the entire arm, because jsut taking the foot or up to the elbow she would probably still try to walk on it and end up hurting something else. I absolutely REFUSE t…

I just love Komodo Dragons. For one of my birthdays we went to London Zoo and I got to see Raja the komodo dragon. A beautiful creature. I dont know what it is about them I just love them. Its a shame one died When they got them they were a breeding pair but one climbed up a badly placed rock formation because they had them temporarily seperated. It fell and died

Alright, so here is a little back-round information, the picture you are about to see is of one of my family's dog Louie, he is a beagle/ basset mix. He was my first dog ever and is almost 12. Since he is "getting up there" as far as age is concerned he is a little arthritic and spends most of the day laying around the house, so we haven't had to really keep an eye on him. My dad texted me today saying he couldn't find Louie and went upstairs to find this... my question is... How does this even happen?? (incase it is hard to tell, he is stuck inside a coat hanger. LOL)

So in my search for a home to rent I've come across alot of breed restrictions which was to be expected but there's been a strange one popping up every now and then I don't understand. It's a Weimaraner. I've never seen them listed on a restriction list before and what I know of the breed I don't quite get why they would be on one. Do you guys have any ideas??? Very confused lol

Hi everyone Needing some advice on my OH's dog. She is a 14 year old Staff. Recently she has started crying constantly and nothing we do gets her to stop. OH is convinced it's just old age but I don't remember my previous dog getting like this (she lived to 19) and am wondering if there's anything else that may be causing her to cry. She has cateracts and has always cried for you to turn the lights on when it's dark however that doesn't explain why she cries during the day. Other than that she has no health problems. Also I feel I should mention she is never left on her own, there is always someone in the house and often my dog aswell, and she is exercised regularly. …

I have realised that there are quite a few members that have reptiles so though I would share where I get my locusts and worms etc. from www.livefoodsdirect.co.uk They have not let me down as far as delivery goes and they do good sized boxes, they may not be the cheapest but for me in rural england with no reptile shop for 30 miles they are a bit of a lifesaver Trying to think who to tag though... Sarah (mind freeze... really can't remember who has reptiles now lol)

well since our weather rocketed up to the 80's over the weekend the poor kid hasn't been feeling better at all He's been eating his food slowly which is just not my chow hound. He has barely pooped poor thing and when he does it's not healthy at all. He threw up this morning again right first time in 5 days as I'm cooking his breakfast to first time in 5 days Thankfully he goes in for a check up today but my poor boy is just not feeling himself yet. Poor Kiana is going bonkers without a playmate thankfully our new dog park is right down the street but man I feel guilty leaving my sick boy home alone 'sigh' at least with kids they can talk to you instead of giving you …
