  1. One of the scariest moments as a pet owner is when they are sick and you don't know what is wrong. Aspen came in from outside with Tuff yesterday morning, and was quiet. 1st red flag for me, because she is like a 2 year old high on chocolate all the time. I turned around to look at her and told her to come here and she took 2 steps and fell over and passed out. We called the emergency vet and went over everything all the while my sweet little baby was on my lap and couldn't keep her eyes open. She layed with her head on me and wanted me to hold her paw. About an hour later she came about and was wide awake and hungry. As soon as the vet opened we had the 1st apt. Vet looked her over and she looked fine, she was responsive and alert. They said more than likely she had a seizure. We are not sure what brought it on, but I am to watch to see if she has anymore. Needless to say yesterday was an emotional and exhausting day. I took the day off even tho I work from home and I let the dogs curl up in bed with me and let Aspen sleep as long as she wanted to. Has anyone else had a dog that had random seizures??? Was there anything that triggered them?
