Hi everyone, proud new owner of Athena, 12 week old pup. Previously have owned & loved Springers & GSPs, & am terrified of all the horror stories regarding Huskies digging, climbing, escaping etc. Am lucky enough to be retired & give the pup loads of attention, and also walk her twice daily for as long as she wants. She's crate trained already & hasnt been a bit of bother so far. She's amazing. Looking for any advice going forward, esp with the digging/escaping thing. Thanks.

Hi everyone! It’s been a few years since I’ve been on so I’ll reintroduce myself. I’m Jennet, I live in Eau Claire, WI with my husband and our 4 Huskies and 2 Cats. Our pack started with Embry, who now will be 9 in October, Zoey turns 8 in 2 weeks, Ares is 6.5 and baby Murdock is 5.5 months. We recently added Murdock to our pack about a month ago now from a rescue in Minnesota. He is originally from Kentucky but was surrendered to a shelter there because his breeder couldn’t sell him do to a birth defect. Murdock is 100% blind and was born without eyes. Hey everyone! My name is Aly and I have a 3mo pup named Bowie. I’ve had him for about 3 weeks and we live in Chicago (for now). He is the happiest puppy I’ve ever met and full of energy. Hello my name is Mercedes, I’m from Fort Worth, Tx. I’m new on here and also a first time Husky owner. I have a 15 month old Husky names Ares! He was pretty much left on my door step by a family member that didn’t want him any more due to his hyper ness. He was givin to me without knowing he had parvo but he pushed through and survived. ❤️ Not 100% sure if he is full bred but still love him to death, no one could really tell me.

Hi, I'm Jamie, we just adopted a Husky/Wolf mix. He's about 18 months old, we believe he is deaf. I'm hoping to learn how to efficiently start training with him. I've taught hand commands to my previous dogs but not sure how to go about it with a pup thats deaf.

Thanks for letting me join. We adopted Milo, a 4 1/2 year old dog in November. The shelter told us he has some husky in him. We have been working with a trainer that recommended we have his DNA tested, to see what we’re working with. Milo’s DNA results came in last night and he’s 50% Siberian Husky and 50% Labrador. Hopefully now, it will be easier to work on some Milo’s quirks. Does anyone have a dog that screams like he’s being killed??? He only screams when he sees another dog. He not being aggressive just very excited. But it can be intimidating to others when a 80 pound is screaming at their dog. Anyone ever deal with an issue like this? Any thoughts …

Hiya, We are new to this group and new to being a husky owner! I love dogs and my boyfriends dream dog is a husky - so we are now the super proud owner of Loki a beautiful 9week old S.Husky pup. We picked him up just over a week ago and since then we have had lots of fun and giggles - but a LOT of problems, mainly crate training/nighttime. I am desperately seeking advice at night he will fall asleep in his crate and will be taken out twice throughout the night to toilet but he still cries all night and goes to the toilet in the crate making one stonking mess!!
