Hi everyone, Say hello to Maya, our beautiful girl who we've had for 6 weeks! Our families had huskies back home in Australia, but since we're living in Europe for the foreseeable future we decided to start a little family of our own She's certainly a handful, but our absolute pride and joy and we love her so much! We live in an apartment and want to get some tips on training and nutrition. Nice to meet you all, enjoy the weekend.

Just found the forum while trying to do some research into scootering. I have owned my husky Aria for just under 4 years we also have a rottweiler and 2 lurchers. I have had the scooter for 2 years and have used it a little and Aria picked it up straight away! But I am looking to get get off my lazy arse and do more this year. I am after some help with just how to get training properly and building up but I can't find much information.

Hi there! This is my first post here. I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky named Loki. He's super adorable. This morning on our walk we were on the other side of the neighborhood when he turned and looked alarmed. A Rottweiler had snuck up on us. It wasn't friendly. It moved like it was going to attack Loki so I let go of the leash and he bolted. Turns out, Rottweilers have zero stamina. Loki was home 10 minutes before me and a good minute before I texted my husband about it. Anyway, he's my first husky and I adore him. He's hilarious.

New to the forum, my daughter and I adopted River (full name Melody of the River Song) when she was 8 weeks old, she is now 14 weeks. She has changed a LOT in the last 6 weeks! Photos are: On the LONG ride to our new home! At about 11 weeks, she discovered the joys of a pillow! Now, at 14 weeks, she thinks she needs a bigger pillow! LOL

From SoCal! Mikah is fairly new to my family and I must say it's taken him a little time to adjust and to trust me. Since March I had been struggling with him because of all of his anxiety and slight aggression that I even tried to find him another good home, but then he and I connected and I regret even thinking about finding him another home. I had a husky when I was much younger, but this is different....this handsome fellow is my partner and we are connecting on so many levels! I've noticed that patience goes a long way with him. I'm so in love with my furbaby! Anyway...all mushy stuff aside, I look forward to talking to all you husky parents!! Sent fr…

Greetings, This past week I was fortunate enough to find the perfect rescue dog. I have had my Husky for a week now and he is such a sweet heart. A bit underweight but the Vet said 5-10 pounds extra should do it. He just turned 6 years old and have been taking him on morning and evening jogs and he loves it. He has only barked once and hasn't howled. My only concern is that it seems like he brings out the feistiness of other dogs. 3 smaller dogs have literally attacked my Husky and I've had to interfere. Any tips, or ideas of what might be happening? Is he intimidating the other dogs? Or maybe mine is growling at them without me hearing him? Thanks everyone!

Hi, I'm Odin (24 years old french men) and my siberian husky is Olaf, 8 years tomorrow ^^. I always dreamed about having a dog, specially a siberian husky because I found them really beautiful, and majestic. So when I was 16 I had my first siberian husky, Olaf (his registered name was Eros), who was just a 7 week old puppy. And before that of course; I searched a lot about the siberian husky breed : their behaviour and needs etc. I knew siberian husky were what I needed. And I also knew for the moment I've chosen to take him with me that I will be responsible for my dog's life. This means I knew my dog will have to pass before all the rest : school, jo…

Hi I'm Carmen & my 14 mth old husky is Prince & we're new to the forum. Came across this purely by accident whilst searching for husky get togethers in my area/county as our dog walks are always lonely Prince is certainly not everyone's cup of tea because he's quite the wilful one & full of zest. So anyways hello 😊

Gosh, it's been awhile. Work has me traveling more these days. My employer split our department into two departments - one Training; the other Documentation. I was asked to head up Documentation. So I have to split my time between two locations - eastern Iowa and northern Kentucky. Zoya still rules the roost. Her cruciate ligament surgery from a couple years back remains in good check. She recently had her ninth birthday. It's hard to believe that she is nine. She still runs a bit, but not like she used to. When she tore her cruciate ligament, she was running. I imagine she still remembers the pain from that day. She remains my baby girl. Her only chronic health issu…

Hi everyone! Me and my wife just committed to a new puppy! We will be getting him home on the 25th when he will be 2 months old. We never had a husky before and are very exited since it has been a long coming dream for both of us! We each had dogs before, but not as adults and I can't help but to worry a little.. I've been reading all about their temperament and know pretty much what to expect.. We have jogging agendas every day in the morning and afternoon so exercise will not be a problem for Snow.. there is always someone home for most parts of the day since we are a home-office couple running an insurance representation and have a 5 year old son that is even…

We have made our second trip to vets tonight the first vet thought enlarged prostate gland 2nd vet couldn't tell if it was prostate gland because there was too much poop in there been giving him lactalose the vet tonight has said he has severe back problems which maybe causing him not to go for a poop we have now got painkillers for him and we have to give him a few days and if hasn't improved we might have to think about putting him too sleep! We just don't have the funds for MRI scans he thinks that it could be either wear and tear disc problems or worse we don t know what to think or do we are beside our selves just have to hope painkillers work anybody else have this …
