Hi guys, just wanted to say hey and introduce y’all to my pack. I know without a doubt that I will be needing the support and help of everyone but I’m looking forward to this adventure. Jax and Jinx are 3months old and I’m working on basic commands we have sit and down come is a little tricky, but treats and the clicker have worked best for me. All of your input is greatly appreciated.

Hello Everyone, Would like to say thank you for all the support already and I've only been a member for a few hours and I already have a good feeling about this community, so I thought its time I introduce you to my 8 week old puppy Meet Leo Me and the misses got Leo a few days ago he is an 8 week old puppy full of energy and very mischevious with such an amazing personality, Leo was the runt of the litter was the smallest out of his litter mates, he is a tad under weight but I'm sure we will get him up there; currently weighting at 2.7kg. We loved Leo the second we seem him he just felt right he was the one that ran straight over to us …

It’s seemed like a long wait but Dakota’s finally here. She is our family’s first husky but we’ve done lots of research so hopefully we’re prepared as much as possible 😊 but I’m definitely expecting a fun/challenging few months (years ha) Quite interesting when we first viewed her she was black she’s now seems to be a lovely brown colour!! We absolutely don’t mind either way though and look forward to see the different changes whilst she’s growing 😄

Hi everyone Me and my partner have a 13 week old husky puppy and so far he has only encountered smaller puppies whose owners are worried about their puppy's size compared to our puppy's size and so don't want our puppy socialising with their puppy. It would be great if we could socialise him with a dog that he could play with without the worry of him knocking the other puppy/dog over due to his playful nature. We live in North London and it would be fantastic to meet some other huskies? Thanks Harriet and Ash

Hi there, I am Samantha, coming from Marrickville, Australia, currently a full time mum to two, a boy and a girl, plus our dog Cooper! I love to discuss health, nutrition, parenting, pet topics and to exchange experiences with others, trying to learn from their "mistakes" as much as from my own

This sweet boy is about 1 and a half and will be coming to us for a 2 week trial this week before we finalise his adoption. The rescue has brought him from California to Canada this week as there are so many being surrendered there. He has been left in a back yard, which was disgusting. He was drinking dirty water and basically walking round in his own mess. The neighbour bought him from his owner purposely to surrender him so that he had a chance of a better life. We will need to housetrain him and teach him some manners , he barely responds to his name. But I am so looking forward to adding this boy to our family I've spent the weekend in -15 conditions …

Well I've been a husky owner for 2 months now. I got my pup when she was 8 weeks old, and it's been a challenging journey. My gripe with her is she is a food theif lol.

Hi all, I have a puppy that seems to be too small for his age. He is supposed to be 4 1/2 months. He is about 18lbs and 17” tall. Many people ask me if he is a Pomsky, or even a mini Husky. He got really sick at 2 months old for about 3 weeks so I was wondering if that could have affected his growth! Here are some pics of my fluffy fur baby..

Hi, New to this forum. We adopted a 6 month old husky cross from the North West Territories SPCA and had her flown to us in British Columbia. She came with the name Joy, but my husband and I had a hard time saying Joy, so we changed her named to Joyce. We adopted her on January 18th. She came from a small community along the border of Nunavut and the North West Territories. She was surrendered to the Yellowknife SPCA with 3 of her siblings at age 5 1/2 months old. Her birthday is July 17, 2017. She was quite bonded with her sister Eve, but Eve was dominant and Joy was the submissive pup. She was the runt of the litter. They anticipate she will be 50-60 lbs. We love…

Hello! My name is Amber and I just recently got my first husky Levushka. I have had Chow Chows in the past and decided on a husky because I will be moving out of my parent's house soon and wished to take a companion. However, I'm a bit worried about her at times. I'm taking an internship with a dog trainer to get her trained as a service dog, but, due to school and sports, I don't know if I got her at the wrong time. I have about two more months until school ends and my trainer insists that when I'm not home she should be kenneled. With college I understand this, however, with high school, I HAVE to be gone for 8 hours (plus two hours for track!) even on the days I d…

So I got Katana at 2 months old. Had 2 huskies when I was younger that were young/adult. Had other dogs in past and few cats. She's very energetic but tires out pretty fast due to having fenced in backyard with doggy door.

Been about two years since I was last on the site I think, this due to personal health issues. Me and Rocky have been on quite a few walks/meets with other husky owners....hes over two years old now and could not have found a better pet, Just fits in the family perfectly.... He does have all the husky traits, indipendnt, aloof etc. but the character and heart makes up for that...... On my bad days let's say, he's there and if he sees me spend too much time on the sofa he will force himself under my legs lifting them up repeatedly till I get up and play or we go out keeping me busy and active....if I fall asleep so does he or waits (as you can se…

Hello everyone 👋🏻👋🏻 and thank you for adding me to the group. Maya was my son’s dog and he got her at 8 weeks. At the time he got her he also had a German Shepherd(Max) so she had a playmate. Unfortunately the GS had to be put down as he was old and in pain.😥 After Max was gone her behavior totally changed. Started tearing things up, going potty in house. He wasn’t home enough to give her the proper attention thus the behavior problems. She is now a year old and I have had her since November. I also have a border collie/Shepherd mix (Maggie) who is 4 years old. They get along well but there are times they get into it big time and has to be separated. Five minutes later th…

Hello, my name is Ash and I am new to this site as well as to being a husky owner. My huskys name is Aspen and she is seven months old. I’ve always loved the breed though of course until I got Aspen I hadn’t realized just how different it would be from the previous breeds I’ve owned. She’s a sweet girl and has gotten overmost if her bad puppy behavior and has become everyone’s best friend. She had some rough patches with being a picky eater and nipping, oh the nipping was bad, but she has gotten past both those things. She’s become an important family member since we got her. With her being my first andhopefully not last husky I have questions on occasio…

Hello everyone! My wife and I recently picked out a beautiful puppy to bring home in a few weeks time. This website has been crucial in our research as new husky owners. One question we had is in regards to the colour change young husky coats. We have read many threads about the large variation in coats changing colour from puppy -> adult but wanted a few more opinions as we couldn’t find an example close to our girls light coat. She is a very light cream/isabella colour now at 6-7 weeks old. The mother is nearly all white and the father is mostly white as well. We are hoping the isabella white will darken or silver, but as we all know col…

I found this beautiful Siberian Husky wondering the streets on my way home Friday afternoon. The collar on him was too small and very tight. He has no tags. Had his chip read by a local vet and they contacted the company he's registered to. They contacted the registered owner who had sold him to his brother. Reg owner said he passed my phone number on. Reg owner also verified he is Siberian Husky almost 1 year old. 5 days and NO CALL from the brother (current owner) and now the registered owner is not answering or returning my calls. I have posted on local lost and found web-site, on Facebook, and flyers. I have messaged him through Facebook as well as texte…
