Hi All, Just a quick message to let you know I have been made aware that the search & find content are not currently working. On looking at this it seems the search engine hasnt rebuilt itself after a server reboot earlier today so this is currently in the process of rebuilding itself. It can take some time as it has to fully index the text of 3/4 of a million posts so please bare with me and it will all be back working as soon as is possible.

Hi Guys, Just a quick message to let you know that the forum has been re-arranged slightly to make better categorisation of the sponsor sections on the forum. Our official sponsor Indi-Dog has now been given its rightful place at the top of the forum alongside our forum announcements. Indi-Dog has been a great supporter of the site and as such I felt it deserved a spot at the top. Forum Sponsors area has been moved up underneith the Members area and the Site Sponsor Diaries been placed within the Sponsors category where it belongs. Hi All, I have just been contacted by Liverpool City Council with regards to husky meets which are being arranged within Croxteth Park. Unfortunatly there have been some complaints by other users of the parks made. The guy I have been speaking to has stated that he does not by any means want to stop people from using the park for this purpose, and in fact is glad people enjoy the park, however needs to ensure that it is at the correct time (ie. areas to avoid when events are on) and do's don't whilst using the park. Purely out of politeness please could you ensure that you contact the Events department for Croxteth Hall & Country park if you intend to hold…

Hi Guys, Was gonna post this up on the forum a few days ago, however decided it was best for me to calm down from something before doing so. There was a question posted up as to why private messages are not private here on the forum, so I am going to do my best to answer this as the last thing we want on the forum is the thought that there is some kind of hidden conspiracy or agenda. Hi Guys, Thought I would do some work on the image bar at the top of the main forum tonight as there are a few bits I wanted to do to it. I have released the next version of this which allows you to click on the image which will take you directly to the post in which the image came from. Enjoy.

Hi Guys, One of the things I picked up from Al Jones post is basically that the search facility on the forum is working terribly. Therefore I have spent some time this morning changing the way the search works completely in the background. The things you should notice straight away are the following: Speed of searching should be faster Accuracy of searching should be faster You can now search for 2 letter words and upward rather than 4 You can now use wildcard searching so for example you typing sibe* will return anything with a match of siberian. So then guys, been a while since I installed any new additions to the forum (well, last week but thats besides the point) so I decided I would add something new to the forum ... Well... old ... but ... well ... new. OK OK so here goes. There has been a new chatbar installed on the forum. Looks very much like the old one but sorts out a few issues and adds some functionality (which is always nice). IMPROVEMENTS We are now running through a cloud push server for chat. This means that chat will be instantanious rather than delayed by a split second. Hi guys, You will notice that there is a new addition to the forum, in that you can now see the latest images that have been posted in the photo section at the top of the forum. This is actually the first modification I have written for this software so bare with me on changes to it, however there are plans to add links to the originating posts etc. Thankyou to Jos for his help on the layout as always... Hi All, Just thought I would take a moment to say Merry Christmas to each and every one of you on husky owners. Its been a hell of a year (so far, of course it not quite over yet) with so many changes on husky owners, from changes in members of staff, various people leaving the forum for one reason or another, and the forum becoming quieter than it has been in any other year of the forums existence. Hi Guys, This next year we will be looking at getting more of the husky owners meets back on the table as we used to do in the past. As I have said in my previous Christmas message, husky owners even though the biggest has seem to have lost some of its spark over the past 12 month and its about time we show what this place is all about once more. Hi Guys, Just to let you know I am aware of the issues we have at the moment with the member map. Unfortunatly the google maps interface we were using recently expired and the mapping is being rewritten to use bing maps. This however may take some time to do so. Hopefully I should be able to get it back online to view the existing markers, however nobody will be able to add a new one for the moment until a full version has been released by the developer (or I decide to add it myself, whichever comes first I guess).

It has come to our attention again as it has over the years and its time to put a stop to it at least on Husky Owners !!!!!!!!!!!! H/O as not and never will condone letting a husky off lead !! We don't care if you do this thats fine its your dog but we don't want to hear about it and will not stand for promoting the idea !!! Hi Guys, As already stated by Linda there are problems on the forum with posting at the moment. You will be able to post using the advanced editor (which ironically is very basic at present). You can get to this by clicking on more reply options at the bottom of the page. Along with this, there is no formatting options for posting, no smilies, and the mobile skin is presently completely broken (tapatalk however seems to be unaffected). I am currently working on these so bare with me and I will get the issues sorted as soon as I can.

I posted this in the competitions, and I will post in here too We have decided to simplify the monthly competitions so we are dropping the video of the month competition and it will be photos only and be the "Husky of the Month" competition! Of course, you are still encouraged to post videos of your huskies! Also, we will start a Husky of the Year competition. The winners of each month will be entered in a poll and you will get to vote for your favorite husky of the year! Voting will start after December's winner is announced. Good luck all!

I've posted a few topics tonight announcing new staff members which i think you'll have all seen, i now have a sad one to post Sparks has asked to step down as moderator on here, he has such a lot on at the moment and can't dedicate his time to the forum, but has promised he will stick around - and hopefully still come to camp as it just wouldn't be the same without him I want to thank Sparks so much for everything he's done for this place, he really is a legend He has helped at all the camps and thrown himself in the deep end on more than one occasion!
