Hi Guys, Just a quick message about the camps and raising funds. Once again we have raised a good chunk towards bringing a member to this years camp, and we have successfully managed to do so for the past 2 years. I can honestly say that its not something we ever thought we would be able to do and it shows what a great community we have here on the forum. We will be reopening the competition again soon for people to enter. Same kinda rules with the winner being announced on Christmas Day as always. Hi Guys, A while since I have put any of these up for you's however I thought I would add some more themes onto the site for our site sponsors. Distance - This is a simple and clean looking theme. One thing this does do however is keeps the menu bar at the top of the page which is quite nice when your scrolling about. Graphite - This theme has some functionality behind it. This is for those who stayed at home or couldn't make it to Huskycamp in one way or another: Dave is currently at camp and tomorrow he'll be walking around filming as much as he can. The best thing is that all of this will be broadcasted live! Why go camping when you can let others do all the hard work while you can just watch it all straight from your own home sitting in your comfortable and warm chair?? As some of you know Dave (hubby) Marc, Dunc and Sue (Dunc's wife) all compleated the 3 peaks challenge. Well done to you all, so proud of you. They raised money for The Christie - cancer research. Hi Guys, Received an email from our hosts this morning to make us aware that the server will be getting moved to another datacenter. This will happen on 13/08/2013. This will mean that there will be some downtime between the hours of 22:00 BST and 06:00BST the day after. It will be down for around 4 hours. Just letting you guys know so that you dont think we have dissapeared. We're alive and kickin, its just a hardware move.

Hi Guys, Quick announcement for you guys regarding some staffing changes on the forum. This is more of a change of roles than promotion/removal from staff so a bit of a different announce this time. Valkries (Linda) Linda is quite busy at the moment with other things than forum posting, and a lot of this is around fund raising for camp and bringing a member over etc. Therefore Linda has decided to step down as a super moderator into a new position on the forum of Fund Raising Co-Ordinator. Hi Guys, As some of you will have already seen, there is a DVD available of the 2012 husky camp which was kindly video'd, and put together over many months by Jos (BlueWolf). All chapters that have been released on the forum, plus some bonus stuff only available on the DVD. The DVD costs £4.00 plus shipping costs which are currently £2.60 in the UK or £4.50 to anywhere else on the globe. Any topics of this nature should now be posted in the forum help & FAQ section of the forum. This is purely and simply because the section was only ever meant to be a temp section when we moved over from our old forum software, and since there are very little posts in that section now it doesn't warrent a section of its own.

Hi Guys, As ever at UK camp there does tend to be some pics which some may not want to view, or want to be viewable on the forum to them so that younger members are not seeing them. However it would be a shame not to have an area for people to have a laugh at the silly antics that take place at camp if people would like to view them and therefore I have created a section the same as I have last year. Marc and myself have been inundated yesterday and today via text, PM, calls, emails etc about a member who's dog could possibly have been in contact with the KC virus. Bear in mind that we both have full time jobs this has been a nightmare! I will not name names etc however i will state the following facts: The dog in question was thought to have been in contact with the virus at a training session, however no test has been carried out to confirm whether the virus is present or not and after 2 weeks has shown no signs of contracting KC another dog from the same "pack" was vaccinated for KC on 28th April and was therefore given a small dose of the live vaccine …
