Hello everyone. I see my wife has set up her (johnsoncraster) intro thread. We currently live in the Washington Dc area after moving down from the great north of New Hampshire. WE currently have 2 huskies both adopted, one while we were in Maryland the other we adopted while in New Hampshire. Two girls, winter is 7 yrs old and Blu is 8 yrs old. they get along fantastic and are best of friends and basically our kids. I have had huskies since I was 17 yrs old and by far are my most favorite breed and shall always be. Will be posting some pics of our pups shortly but it is time for their afternoon walk.

Hi there, my name is Jackie and I am the proud owner of 2 beautiful Siberian Huskies. I am originally from Anchorage Alaska so I have had a love for huskies my entire life. My first husky is Cypra, an all white female sibe who is 6 years old. I have owned her sinc Feburary 2009. her old owners were moving away and couldn't afford to take her, so I adopted her from them. Kai is my 3 yr old male, black and white sibe and I've owned him since June 2009. He is my rescue dog. He was abused as a puppy, forced to stay in his kennel all day/night, with 5 minutes of time allowed to eat and go potty. My poor Kai bear! I found him from another lady who didn't want him because she c…

Hello, all. I was recently held hostage at gun point and forced to pick up 2 Huskies. :awink: OK, so a friend of mine just landed a job at the local animal shelter and began telling me of a beautiful female Husky that came in the same day she started. Went down the next day to take a look, and fell in love. She was so well-behaved in the little kennel, and rolled over to have her belly rubbed. I couldn't resist! While walking around the shelter, I noticed a male Husky tucked back into a corner. He didn't have her markings, looked rather rough, but those blue eyes just looked so sad! I'll never forget how he looked! So that was all S…

Hello, I have ahave just joinedthis group as I have two lovely Huskies!! Blitz (6) is my husband's baby and Shadow (1) who is mine. Shadow however, is a tad bit crazy and we have been advised that getting a rig may help. We really don;t have loads of money to spend on one and need to find out about training them on it but we thought it would be fun for us and for them! Can anyone give me some advice on where to get a good second hand Rig for not much money and also the best way to train my babies?? Look forward to hearing from you! Cheers, Vikki

Hello there! I came here searching for some advice regarding my new Husky. This male husky was rescued by Lisbon city shelter and I adopted him yesterday. He was left there for 90 days, well fed but without any exercise. I was looking to adopt a new pet, and when you are looking to adopt, there are no many options. Yet, I required an intelligent dog with character that could learn, without too much hair (as the retriever). I do have previous experience with Saint Bernard, Labrador, Retriever and Rottweiller. None with Huskies but the more I learn about them, the more I am happy for having found him . Gre…

Hi everyone, i have been a member for a while now but never written an introduction so thought i'd better lol. Well where do i start, i'm 18 years old from Tasmania, me and my partner always wanted a malamute or husky, we decided a husky. we got our little man in August 09 and absolutley love him to death. We named him Storm because we got him from a almost deserted part of Tassie called Storm Lea, his mothers name was Kiska and his dad Yukon, he was the 5th born out of 6 and has 3 sisters 2 brothers. His mother is Caramel and white and his father is wolf coloured, so Storm ended up wolf coloured with a caramel tinge. His mother and father both have blue …

Hello everyone. I an a new member to husky owners. I am the owner of one husky. He was a rescue we adopted only this past May. Garres (the name we gave him, as he did not have one at the age of 14 months), was kept as an outside dog only, always chained and apart of a pack of 8 huskies. He was the smallest of the 8, and he is deffinately not an alpha. Garres was only 40lbs when we brought him home. And scared to death of everything. But there was just something about him that grabbed at my heart and said he had to come home with us. The first day we brought him home he cowered in our back yard in the corner. My self and my 3 children, ages 3-7, sat with …

I'm Cher and I have a 4.5 month female husky named Akasha. She's a great dog, but she has completely worn out my family! We got her at 8 weeks, and it's been like having a newborn baby. Until the last few weeks, someone has been with her every moment of the day. We couldn't even walk out of the room (past the baby gate) for a minute; she would be into something or on top of something immediately. She ate everything she came across outside, including rocks, mulch, roses....you name it. She was on a leash almost all the time; even so, she still snatched rocks into her mouth while jogging over to her pee area. Things seem to be a little better now; she can hang out in…

Hello, Thanks for the welcome! Im still figuring out how to use this site but anyhu heres our story. I'm Ashlyne and Juno is my 6.5 months old baby. We werent sure about the breed so I spent months researching huskies and talking to breeders. My bf and I went to visit a breeder and met Junos parents. They were so gentle, loving and friendly, and won us over. The pups were only 2 weeks old at that time so we went back two weeks later to pick one (hardest decision ever). We finally got to bring Juno home when she was 7 weeks old. Since then she has been growing up way to quickly Juno is a grey and white husky with honey coloured ears. She…
