On the 22nd of August, I was honored to become a parent to a beautiful all white blue eyed girl named Ice. In the few short days I've had her, she's already shown she has quite a bit of personality at the young age of 8wks. However, I wouldn't have it any other way, she's already brought quite a few laughs.

Hi, I became a member of the forum about a week ago and I thank those of you have made me your friend already. I thought it was only polite that I say a bit about myself, I have had huskies for around ten years and currently have seven, four boys and three girls, I guess I can't say no. They age from fifteen to nearly two and they keep my on my toes. Everyday they do something different and every day I learn something new. So that is me, advice is good, counselling is good and medication is even better

Hello all, my name is Tony and I'm married with 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. I live in Birmingham and I am a self employed mobile mechanic which is great when the weather is good! We have a 5 month old puppy which we have had since he was 8 weeks old. Kito has his own puppy, my 2 year old daughter!! When they are together mischief is the number 1 priority, I don't know which ones worse! He's a great addition to the family even when eating socks, eating plants or helping himself to whatever he sees in a bin but I wouldn't swap him for the world. I came across this site when I googled 'Husky Training' and after reading a few articles and peoples comments I just had t…

Hello everyone! I just joined the forums today. My husband and I have had our husky puppy for 4 weeks now and he's 11weeks old! his name is Pongo and he's a goofy dog. I joined because I'd like to talk to others who have experience with huskies. I have a couple questions already about some things that he's been doing if anyone is willing to answer: 1. How to I get him used to warm weather? He puts up a temper-tantrum when I try to take him outside to do his business when the sun is out. It's not really that warm out either since I live in Ohio. 2. Any suggestions on getting along with cats Thanks! It's great to meet everyone!

I just thought I'd write a quick introduction for me and my gorgeous sibe Zero! Zero is my gorgeous rescue boy who I adopted about 2.5 years ago - he was badly beaten, neglected and not socialised at all so it's been quite a journey! He's gone through fear problems to the point where he would urinate on himself, dog aggression to the point where he wanted to kill other dogs and physical problems (clouding in his eyes from blunt force trauma to the face, untreated ear infections that have lessened his hearing, weight problems and broken bones) but he's come through them all really well and at 5 years old looks fantastic for it. Zero and I train in obe…

Hi everyone. Thank you Siberian_wolf, PeiperSky7, and Sarah for your welcome notes. The first thing I did yesterday when I joined was to pin our location on the Google Map. I am quite surprised there arent more of us from Canada. I found this Husky member site quite easily on the net. My husband surprised me with dog-ownership a couple days before Valentines day and his birthday Feb. 19th, 2009. He was working out of the province at the time and was home for a weekend visit. He sat our 15 yr old son and me down on the sofa and pulled up a breeders website and announced that he would like to get a Husky for his birthday. I was a little stunned but I could tell a…

Hey everyone, I am Ange and the proud owner (or should i say proudly owned lol) of 2 gorgeous huskies. I adopted Indy 2 years ago when he was around 20 months old, he was my first dog and it was a steep learning curve, but more than worth all the effort. I am now completely addicted to huskies even though life as i knew it has changed completely lol no more pretty garden, no more neat and tidy home and definately no peace! Its fantastic. Our 2nd addition was Sapphire, a gorgeous bouncy little girl full of husky mischief and we fell for her imediately, she is such a character. Sapphire however has been through a lot of trauma in the short time she has been with us, s…

Hi, I'm from northwest ohio right along Ohio Michigan border in the United States... I adopted a siberian husky from a shelter the first week into my summer. I had no idea he was a pure white sib. nor did I know he was over 2 years old. Both don't matter to me, I love him so much. The lady I adopted him from has over 40 sibs at her shelter and I think she is doing a great job helping those dogs find homes in the Ohio area. Anyways I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Hi Everyone! I'm Craig and we (Amy) have a beautiful girl, Shiloh. She is nearly 16 month old. We've had her since she was 4 month sold so missed out of the bundle of fur times but we wouldn't change anything (well, some things we would live to change but that's another story). I've just voted on the location for 1st Birthday Party - Cannock. We live in Walsall so not far from Cannock. We would love to meet up with fellow Sibe owners. We are lucky enough to have several Sibes in the area that we often meet whilst out on walks. Anyway, better get ready for work - yawn!!

Hello everyone! This is my first dog and thus, my first husky and I am really proud of him. He loves running around, playing fetch and generally driving us crazy. He has been a really nice dog until now and he hasn't chewed anything forbidden (yet!) around the house. We are also taking obedience classes, which he really enjoys (gotta love the treats). Well, of course he is not the perfect dog, but we all love him. Thanks for all the welcoming messages we already got! Here are some pics: puppy now

Hi I'm a new member and really need some advice. I have an 18 month old Sibe who escaped from the garden in March. The Dog Warden returned her a week and a half later but since then her behaviour has got progressively worse. She keeps snapping for my hand if I try to go near her collar and she has now started to ignore my commands completely. Walks have become a nightmare and a complete battle of wills. I really dont know what to do anymore. Over the past few months I have tried everything I can think of as I was determined not to give up on her, but I really dont know what to do anymore. I'm starting to think she may be a lost cause with me as she has gai…
