My mother's never had a dog smaller than a cocker spaniel, so she a little at a loss as to what to do with and how to train Pogo. (He's a silky poo mix... kinda looks like a wire haired terrier to me.) Are there any small breed forums or reading materials you'd suggest for her? Here's some photos of him for good measure.

Hey everyone, i hope all is well. I'd like to introduce you to Catalina Catalina is a little kitten that was rescued at 2 weeks of age and has been hand reared for the last 2 months. The rescue group is one that a couple of friends of mine are invovled with. If you could spare a couple of moments of your time and click on the link and vote for her it would really mean a lot. The rescue has a chance to win $10 000, and it would help so much. http://www.whiskas.c...e.aspx?id=63484 You can vote once a day. This is Porches facebook page and website if you wanted to check out that she is a legitimate organ…

Yup, that a real Glock. Perfect timing when I took this picture. And that's my cat Ladu (means lovable in Urdu). He is a siamese flame point mix. If anyone has a siamese cat they know that these cats have an unmatched curiosity and a very very very loving disposition for being a cat. Cat people, can I see picture(s) of your cat(s)? <3

Long story short, Seamus (my new Border Collie) tested positive for heartworms last night. Took him into the vet today to run another blood test that will tell us just how bad it is. The vet seems optimistic that his "symptoms" aren't that serious yet and hopes it will be a relatively "easy" fix. Of course, that's pending on his test results which come back tomorrow. The poor guy. I just cannot believe the woman who owned him before never had him on any sort of prevention. I mean, Florida is practically the Mosquito capitol of the world (maybe not, but you get the idea...) Argh! Anyway, we're asking for some good prayers and well wishes that the test comes out …

ok so we went to the dog park yesterday and there was like no dogs around cause the weather was bad but the kids just had to get out lol. Long story short today my corgi mix Foxy (please don't read if you are eating or thinking of eating) her poo was grey with a mucous membrane around it. I've been doing some checking online, our vet is closed right now, and it could be a variety of things apparently. Normally I wouldn't be really concerned but she hasn't eaten all day either so naturally I'm thinking of taking her in to get an exam and possibly a fecal. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this before and what it might have been?

i thought i'd share some pictures of my kitten ash. I adopted him from our local animal shelter at 8 weeks. the girl working told me that i should pick a different kitten because the one i picked was loud and annoying, which is what i found the best thing about him. We were gonna change his name to Ninja at first because he was always jumping around and no one could ever find him:D He's now about 10 months and has finally started to calm down:lol: except for his annoying habit, of hitting everything off tables and dressers with his paws, in which Embry destroys whatever was knocked down. at about 4 months: last week at 10 months: …

Today Tinks has just5 been really well behaved. Earlier I called him to come sit next to me and he sat in the middle of me and my mum (I didnt want him sitting on me because I have shorts on and I wasn't gonna risk the claws) and when I left the room for a minute he was standing on my seat almost eating my dinner lol and then I told him to stop and he sat down. I got a little bit of my dinner (it was chicken) and put it on his seat and he sat down and is now sleeping. He was just behaving really well and I was proud of him lol he's stopped trying to bite and scratch so much now aswell

I hope no one minds me talking a bit about my GSD (Tank) here on the husky forum. I have gone ahead and gone into the two top GSD sites but they are slow, not as friendly, or just plain contradictory to my beliefs on training etc. I just like this forum more, lol, no really I do. The thing Im liking most about the shepherd/huskamute combo is that these two are very close to each other in age, and both respond quickly and easily to the same kind of training, and living environment.

hey guys bit of a sad story with a happy ending, i was walking my two ruffians on a meduim walk along a brook when i heard a small mewing sound, well echo hates everything whilst shes out side so i finished the walk and after the dogs were back in the house i went back to the brook to investigate!!!!!. i found a carrier bag that was tied up but had a hole in it, and sure enough the mewing was coming from inside, there was only one kitten in there and i couldnt see any others near there. my mothers mate steph has recently had kittens so i took the one i found who i called crouton there to see if her cats would adopt it and look after it. Just thought I would make a post about Willow, and add a couple of pictures as I've been asked for pictures of her. She will be 10 weeks old tomorrow, and is currently hyper and racing around the house like a loon! The pups are crated as we're trying to get them used to it and she likes to go up to the crate and torment them!!!

Hey there everyone. This is "Tank" our newest friend. He came from an aweful situation where he was locked in a crate all the time, and was not being fed. Poor boy came to me looking like a skeleton with fur. His only real issue is that he wants to walk me instead of me walking him, lmao. We can work on that though. Hes a wonderful dog and as you can see he is quite taken with my son. lol. Tank is right around a year old and just as big as chewy. His presence is doing alot of good here. He has chewy eating well again, and is social and fun. I cant imagine what possessed his previous owner to be so cruel to him.

I am trying to get my cat Tinks to stop scratching. Sometimes when my friends come round and they are stroking her back (which she really hates) she will scratch them or bite them. She also does it to me and her claws can cut and be quite painful. But I don't want to be really rough with her when telling her off but I've decided she needs to stop because sometimes she scratches even when playing which puts people off wanting to play with her. How could I stop her scratching I know that I cant stop her scratching forever but because she does it frequently how can I get her to calm down a bit and not use her claws so much? I have some treats she likes which I could give whe…

if the love of your life is a huskamute... here are a few things you should know. (1) they will do anything for a piece of cheese. (2) they will do more for raw chicken...dark meat or white, lol. (3) they are very loyal, except when a small baby is around. They love babies. (4) they make good cleaning buddies, they miss nothing that is or could be a crumb of food. (4) they will eat anything for the first 6 months but then will likely turn into picky eaters who will refuse kibble. (5) walking is a must. If you do not go long enough or far enough, they will be sure to show you their …

Ok we all bark on (haha pun intended) about what we feed our dogs, what's good and bad etc - but for those that have cats.............what do you feed them on? I've honestly never thought about this - i'm such a bad mum, i've had cats since being little and basically fed what mum and dad fed mine, Whiskers - probably the equivalent to feeding a dog bakers :26: I'm now wanting to change to a better quality food but what to choose? Any ideas peeps? And don't say barf or feed her to my boys LOL LOL (although she has a tin of tuna once a week lol)
