So I have just booked a holiday to go and visit my brother in America in September. It will be the first time I leave Mylo for longer then 4 hours since I got him a year and a half ago. I have arranged for him to stay at home and my dad will move in to be with him, I will be gone for 6 days. I know he is in good hands and his routine will not change other than myself and my partner will not be with him. I am feeling very anxious about leaving him, mainly because I will miss him so much. My main concern is I am not sure if he has separation anxiety or not. He is crate trained and is more then happy to go in his crate when I go to work, I tell him ‘mum is going to work’…

Any advice appreciated. For the last 2 days Cai has seemed depressed, he's eating his food and his stools are normal but he's changed. He's sleeping more than usual, he seems to have no energy at all. I took him for his run yesterday and he wasn't interested, and this is what he loves the most, he's not play fighting with Luka, it's worrying. He's ok on his walks, he's not talking but he's still very loving. I'm confused by this change, I've googled Lyme's disease, no ticks on him, I avoid long grass, but the symptoms seem to fit, any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

Hi, I own a Siberian Husky, but unfortunately, I have lost her in the past month. It was very disappointed for me. But now I have decided to go for another dog breed. I am looking to own the Bernedoodle. But I really don't now much about this dog breed. Anyone here having the experience of Bernedoodle dog. Please let me know your thoughts. Are these dogs good for the families?

So as we all will be very aware it is rare for my husky to bark and Kodi only ever has done 4/5 times unless doing so on command. Last night I thought I heard something in the house just before I went to bed, like footsteps only a little different. To this I paid little attention as I have heard things like this in the house before and nothing has come of it. However having been in bed for around half hour Kodi started barking in the garden, I got up to investigate to find him stood 'on alert' barking at the corner of the garden where there is nothing but a brick wall, nothing was moving/blowing in the wind... there was nothing there at all. It's not the first…

Leg surgery

Hello! since this is an off topic I just want to share our leg surgery journey. I have my dog for 3 years already and just last month we had our first leg surgery, we took him to https://tplocity.com/ to get it done. It was a success operation and they tell me everything i needed for the the post care. It was not easy, especially the healing process. My dog loves to jump out of stairs and I had to stop and monitor him everytime. I both used a cone in the morning and a sleeve whenever he sleeps. As of today, he's doing good and we still have a month before he can fully back to his old life haha.

Good evening all you wonderful huskies and humans! Simka here barking that it has definitely been a while, but me and mommy are still doing ok in this crazy COVID time! Hope all of you are doing well too! I quickly just wanted to share with you the awesomeness that me and my Newfie friend Grizzlee stumbled across this afternoon. We are staying at Aunty Kristen’s for a couple of days and she is doggysitting us. Well, for us sneaker monsters, it has been a very ruff winter. No new sneakers to devour at all So when I heard we were going over to Aunty’s, we were totally pumped! As soon as we set foot in her house, we could smell them: Yup, there were definit…

So I've read that putting blankets over your dogs crate helps them settle (Astro's started barking since Koda arrived), it worked the other day however today I came home to both blankets IN his cage! How he's got them through the small gaps has baffled me! Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

So he is my relative. I don't know him really well bcoz we rarely meet, but now at least I know one thing about this person: He's an idiot  He bought a husky couple of months ago, and give the dog back to its breeder one week later. Guess why? He said: "huskies are stupid dogs. They never jump on people which means they are unfriendly. When I come home my husky never lick my face. It actually takes a very long time for them to understand a command and the only thing they have is a wolf-like face. Other than appearance huskies have nothing at all." SAY WHAAAAAAAAT???!!! *talks to this relative of mine* How dare you call this stunning breed "stu…

I'm a new Husky owner and will eventually be taking my Siberian Husky for moderate to long winter hikes in Colorado. 6-8 hours out, 10 or more miles and at times getting to 13,000 - 14,000 ft. Does anyone recommend using booties for them? Any other helpful tips / thoughts for serious winter hiking are also appreciated!

My Boy has an extreme fear of the smell of mink oil (my husband polished his shoes with it once). I have never in my life seen any thing like it and sorta wonder if it could be a weird husky thing or just my boy is weird (past history with it but I've had him since he was 8 weeks). I've never actually seen an animal act like this but he was quivering, tail down, slinking around with involuntary bowel movements. It took us about 2 weeks to figure out what the source was (our vet explained that it was probably separation anxiety since he was better when I took him out of the house with me). Soon as he caught the sent he'd go into that mode. Just curio…

Guys, just forgive me for offtopic, but since the forum related husky, I decided to register here to ask an important question. I am writing a paper which is related to husky and how they affect the psychological health of a person.. In addition to scientific data, it would be useful for me to gather the opinions in this field. I would be very grateful for any information and your thoughts.
