  1. I said rare not that it doesn't happen. It's a very rare thing in Siberian Huskies to have separation anxiety. They usually just want our attention. I have three rescued huskies from bad circumstances and they don't seem to care to much at all. [emoji6] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  2. Leave her alone and walk away or take your leash put it on her and run her. The objective is to make them tired. If she doesn't want to play with a toy oh well at least she is tired and wore out [emoji16] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  3. My very first dog was a Siberian husky. Her name is Maliki and I had a cat named Cinnie. Cinnie is just like your cat which will be perfect. The horror stories I always hear are about cats that run and I have one that does that also almost been food twice. They can be a pain in the butt to change but they are also super smart it's all about getting in their heads. The leash thing I have almost all of mine trained off leash using them for agility you don't use a leash and the arena is open. It can be done it's a lot of work and constantly making sure they are tired so it's not impossible. They have I can do whatever I want attitude but they are breed to think for themeselves on long ice covered trail rides. If you want a husky as your first dog just see how much time you have in your schedule and make a schedule for them to follow to the T. It's not impossible it's just a royal pain. 4. I think people confuse a dog wanting attention with a dog that has separation anxiety. Separation Anxiety is a very rare thing in huskies as they don't need us. She might not like you leaving the room but that doesn't mean she has separation anxiety. I would just leave the room and ignore her. Could you imagine if I went back to all eleven of my huskies Everytime they whined and called it separation anxiety. Get her a good toy or toys change them out daily add a treat and ignore her Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  5. It's not uncommon for huskies to change colors as they age. When they are 4-5 months their puppy fur starts coming out either making them darker or lighter. As they age it can also change colors usually black and white stays black and white maybe with a little more grey or silver in the coat. Any other color but white of course can change a lot over time. The first picture is Siku now at 10 months the second picture is Siku at 16 weeks complete change [emoji4] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  6. She could definitely come into heat. When that happens she could be a clean one or a dirty one( blood everywhere) just be prepared. Don't push to hard when working physically and they get a little moody Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  7. Okay an update I have another litter that was born February 6, 2018. The litter came from Polar and Tyson. They are three weeks and a day. I also live with my mom now reason can't tell anyone sorry. Okay now photos Makamae is passing her stars class in ACA like a champ. She also has a perfect stack. We have a few meets to go to and classes. Also will be putting her in agility and Conformation. [emoji3][emoji847][emoji847] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  8. Switch her to Orijen, Acana ,Victor or Taste of Wild add a fish oil supplement and multi Vitiman. Purina dog food isn't good for any dog. Give her plenty of bones also smart bones with Vitiman E in them works wonderfully Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  9. She is beautiful. Eight hours a day is a long time for a puppy to be alone. The whining in the kennel could be for going outside or she wants attention. Huskies are hard headed but they usually only whine if they really need something. If you get home around 6 pm at night make a good hour to play with her alone before you go to school get up earlier and play with her take her out. That will help. Two hours a day for a none working husky is plenty of play time. Make sure to train her. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  10. I have one working on service dog training and one getting a good citizen reward from the AKC. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  11. If she has played, been to restroom, eaten and she is still whining I in the crate completely ignore her. I would suggest ignoring it she wants your attention that's why she is doing it. She knows you will get up and take her out or do something with her. Completely ignore her [emoji4] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  12. I would stick the three month old in the crate and walk away. Put toys in there make sure they are easily cleaned off because there will be accidents so be prepared. Take him out every couple hours makes sure he is tired. My 9 month old Siku is fully kennel trained. Will be running free in the house at ten months with the others. Huskies are a whole new world. Your wasting your money on puppy pads and soon it will be your carpet or room that will need new things. Crates are the best option they are pretty fast at learning so it shouldn't take forever. Dont forget excited [emoji6] my huskies have their tails curled most of the time. Usually pulling or trying to kill something gets their tails down fast. It's easier to show Conformation if the tail is all the way down [emoji4] I just want to make it clear that I didn't say their tails need to be in a curl all the time. It's different nothing wrong with it. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  14. Put her in a kennel when she grabs at something. She knows you don't want her to. Your puppy is way past the cute and cuddle stage. When she gets out of line put her in time out in another room or kennel. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  15. Look at her like a challenge because that's the way she is looking at you. Dont be scared just do what has to be done plan and simple. They know she can smell your fear. Keep your self calm when you get the point that she is in trouble to put her in a crate stay neutral no feeling nothing completely neutral dont yell or get angry just do what must be done.
