I've had my husky for about a week now and he seems to be doing well but this is my first experience with a puppy so anything will help! Rachael_Astro
Hi and welcome! As above, be firm and consistent. Also do not let the puppy do anything you wouldn't want them to do as an adult - they soon grow and suddenly it's not cute to have a big dog chewing on your hand or jumping up at you/strangers! Set the boundaries now and you'll be on a much better position training wise when they reach the awkward teenage stage [emoji4]Huskies should never be let off lead so keep that in mind, and socialise them early on with other dogs (training classes and home boarding is ideal for this) Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
Jay
Hello and welcome! I was in your shoes several years ago, with my first puppy. Huskies can be difficult to train, so I would first suggest enrolling in some puppy classes. I found them very helpful not only for the pup, but it taught me how to train as well and it created a strong bond. Good luck!

CocoStorm
Welcome and same advise. Poop will be runny for first few month. Don't worry too much unless there are mucus or blood. Lay lots of potty paper around the house if you are house training. Lots of love and husky proof the house.Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
Al & Walker
hes so cute! welcome to the forum! huskies are independent dogs, more companions. They will run away if given the chance, so no open running. Exercise- 5 minutes per month of age, lots of walks and adventures. Lots of shedding! Brushing them daily or as visibly needed is a good idea. Huskies have sensitive stomaches as a puppy so i recommend you research the best diet for your pup excluding any wheats. Potty training will take awhile, keep your patience! Huskies are very loving dogs, in the end of the day, love your dog and give him the attention he needs. good luck and Best wishes!Al & Walker Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
