I have had at least 1 or more dogs all my life so what life like after they are gone ? 1st thing is as you can imagine it's boring but for me at my age it's better in most ways, yeah I miss them like mad but before Saskia and Wolf we went aboard 4 times a year not been for 10+ years because having tried once in kennels never again was that going to happen We just had a fortnight in Turkey which showed us what we been missing for so long and we are going to Cuba in a couple of months, just the upside of going where we want and when we want is very nice. Downside is I moved to live near the beach which the dogs loved and we go everyday and really miss having…

I know huskies are smart - but this is flaming ridiculous! Last night I locked my back door as usual before going to bed - this morning hubby woke me at 6.30am to tell me I had left the back door open all night. I said I locked it as usual - he said the door was open so obviously I did not. Tonight I closed and locked the back door at 8pm (never done this before) - about half an hour later I found it open and Marley outside. I got him in and locked the door again - and I have just found it open AGAIN ! It is a normal handle with key in lock underneath. However the key will not come out of the lock so I cannot lock the door and take t…

Well, I believe Carbon has found his new favorite sleeping position! And I swear his bed is not near as dirty as it looks in this picture. I looked at the bed for nearly 15min trying to figure out what on earth was making it look so bad in this picture and still have not found it...

They call me the devil! When you log on to your computer after a hellish 3 months of life and you get called the devil, get called ignorant and inept, get told "you should be put down" how would you feel? That happened to me because i had for sale some husky x shar pei pups. Apparently i'm also F@#k*^g retarded. Wow..... how does a husky lover judge another person without any question? how does a parent of a fur baby make assumption without asking questions? How does a devil like me live right??? Tell me, I'd love to know why im apparently a "C word" for breeding such a mix oh, and a drug dealer breading puppies for drugs BOOM, without any regard or respect for…

Hi,I've tried doing some searches online and on forums and haven't found any information, so I was hoping to get some advice here. I'm looking at purchasing a new 12' x12' kennel/run for my 2 girls. I've been looking at TK Products, Rhino dog fences, and Mason Co. and I'm wondering if anybody has experience in any of these companies fences or any others that are commercial grade and how well they hold up (rust, wire bending etc.) Thanks for any help you can give.

So I know I haven't posted in a while but...Otto has always had separation anxiety. He has never liked to be crated and always finds a way out. I have a black metal wire crate that eventually had to be zip tied shut to prevent his escape. Now I have a larger plastic enclosed one that he has chewed from the inside out and now the door doesn't stay locked. He applies pressure and it pops open. When he is out, 80% of the time he is fine. The other 20% he chews. Twice now it's been the carpet at the threshold of my bedroom door which was shut when I intentionally left him out. I need advice. Do I return to the wire crate and zip it shut and allow him to lie on the metal wires…

With all the trials and tribulations that we've had with Eclipse it would seem that it finally all over. For those of you that don't know the story, Eclipse was one of our pups. She was sold to a couple that had 2 dogs off us. The male dog went to the guy and lived at his house Eclipse went to his girlfriend down the road. There were some unfortunate happenings which resulted in us getting Eclipse back under the terms of our contracts. When she came back she was not in a good way. She was taken to the vet and found to have a damaged sphincter. She was also traumatised. Since then we have had massive problems with her behaviour and mood swings. She did have a spell a whil…

I have a foster rescue Siberian husky, 6 yo, he has received treatment for demodex mange and mites have now gone but we don't have any hair regrowth happening. Only been 4 months since treatment completed. Anyone else had or seen similar? Not sure how long he had it or if his hair will ever grow back. On raw food diet, organic coconut oil, fish oil tablets, loves eating raw fruit n veg especially bananas n blueberries. We apply cream to help him to stop scratching. He was worst case they had seen but he is developing into quite a character.

Good evening all! Sorry it has been a while, but mommy is having this new sunroom thingy built at our house and we have been busy with that. Hopefully it will be finished and we can enjoy it this year before snow flies! Yikes, paws crossed! So mommy and me went over to Grizz Lees today for a bbq and fun get together. The weather was perfect and I think mommy may have even got a little sunburn out of it. Ouch! Well, when we got there, Grizz and Rusty and Bluedog were hangin' and scoping out any possible yummy footwear to grab. Boy oh boy, it has been waaaaay too long since us shoedogs got to eat any new nikes! If my canine memory is correct, a month in human yea…

Hello there, I know I'm quite new but I recognized that it doesn't show on the main page how many views a thread already has. It would be helpful to see if someone looks at a created thread but doesn't necessarily answer. If a thread is posted and 2 days no reply it would indicate if the thread is at least viewed by some or if it obviously not interesting to anyone. Just an idea :-)
