Hi Everyone!

Recommended Posts

I just thought I'd write a quick introduction for me and my gorgeous sibe Zero!

Zero is my gorgeous rescue boy who I adopted about 2.5 years ago - he was badly beaten, neglected and not socialised at all so it's been quite a journey! He's gone through fear problems to the point where he would urinate on himself, dog aggression to the point where he wanted to kill other dogs and physical problems (clouding in his eyes from blunt force trauma to the face, untreated ear infections that have lessened his hearing, weight problems and broken bones) but he's come through them all really well and at 5 years old looks fantastic for it.

Zero and I train in obedience and I truely think he's broken because he is surprisingly easy to train - it's just getting them to follow my commands without food that's the problem!

Everyday he makes me smile and i truely believe I'll never be able to be without a sibe - they're the most fantastic dogs and he's made me a better person for having him.

And now Zero's out of the way - a little about me! I'm 23, live in Sydney, Australia and work in media.... i think that's enough about me!:D

Can't wait to hear about you all and the sibes that own you!

Hiya, Shell, what a great story for Zero! Bet he can't believe his luck, these last 2 1/2 yrs!

It beggars belief how someone can do such things to animals, but then for that animal to turn out like Zero is amazing. Congratulations on taking him in & working with him, you must be very proud of him.

Look forward to chatting with you around the forum, there's loads to see & do around here, it's never boring!!

Look forward to seeing LOADS of pics of your gorgeous boy!! xx

Hi Shell and Zero. Welcome. Kudos to you Shell, for taking Zero in and rescuing him from what must have been a terrible existence. Yes, we'd like to see more pics of Zero. He sounds like he'd be so grateful to you for all you've done for him.

Thanks everyone! I forgot to post some pictures!!

His cheeky face:

His serious face:

His normal "happy" face:

And since it's winter in Australia at the moment - the snow nose he's got at the moment (playing tug with his favourite duckie toy):

Zero is my first sibe so it's been a big learning curve - i knew I wanted a sibe when I rescued him (i met a lot of potentials!) but since Zero was 4 hours away from euthanisation when I met him, i didn't really have a choice but to take him - it's worked out better than I planned! I found out he has a wonderful breeder from his microchip who has been invaluable - he is registered with the ANKC as "LaMet Russian Blaze" - though i think "russian laze" would have been better because he's soooo lazy!

Oh - and Zero sends a big awoooooo to his BFAM too Bec!
