Definitely one to set a reminder for. Episode 1 of 2 At a time when wildlife is disappearing across the planet, one animal is making a comeback - the wolf. Wolves were wiped out across much of America, with more than a million wolves estimated to have been shot, poisoned or trapped when European settlers arrived. This enthralling series documents the return of one very special wolf pack to the snowy peaks of Washington's Cascade Mountains - the first to return to the American Northwest in 70 years http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01fnfrc Also on BBC HD Channel

This is a question about signal strength really. I have sky downstairs so it's not a problem there but my bedroom tv has freeview built in. I tried using it about 2 years ago digitally but my plug in ariels (analogue and digital compatible) wasn't really working. the signal was constantly on/off/on/off the whole time and after trying several different ones I just gave up. Now I know that I could contact sky and get a new box at great exspense but as I will need 2 extra boxes I can't really afford the extra costs for the sky multi room package. So traditional plug in ariels are the only thing I can think of to try, short of climbing onto my roof and putting up a mass…

I don't watch a lot of t.v as I'm usually glued to my laptop, but there have been a few television programmes that I have been totally addicted to. In no particular order: 1. Dexter 2. Prison Break (series one) 3. Sherlock 4. White Chapel I guess I'd like to know if there's anything else out there that I have perhaps missed out on that I could get hooked on whilst waiting for the next series of Sherlock to start. So what are other members hooked on/can highly recommend? Failing that, has anyone sussed out how Sherlock survived the fall in the finale? It's bugging the hell out of me and I've just re-watched the whole series again o…

This is a fascinating article... The gist of it: about 5% of war dogs are developing canine PTSD which manifests itself in different ways (aggression, clinginess, avoidance of work--especially work they have been trained to do!). Dogs in the military are trained to find explosive devices and track the enemy . One dog for example would subordinately examine the interior of a car but refuse to go inside a building or a bus. More and more dogs are being trained and sent out to the front lines of this god forsaken war. Treatment for canine PTSD includes similar medications given to humans for PTSD. Asked if the disorder could be cured, Dr. Dodman, a specialist in …

So... I went ahead and bought myself a Kindle (with my own money, yay). I realised I am stuck in front of the computer most of the time and never get round to reading anything anymore, like I used to do years ago. I am hoping it will make me start reading again, spending all of my time in front of the computer probably makes my brain slowly die. Does anybody have any good recommendations? I don't have any favourite genre, I appreciate all of them as long as the book is interesting. So if you recently (or not so recently) read anything that you enjoyed, please do recommend. I am open to all suggestions!

I just want to know if there are any fellow werewolf/lycanthrope fans out there besides me. When I say 'werewolf' or 'lycanthrope', I don't mean the stupid shifters in the Twilight saga. I mean the bipedal creatures that lose control of themselves, the transformation is very painful, and they live a life of suffering. I love the fact that the werewolf legend mimics what true human nature is like - we kill for sport, so do werewolves. We can be savage and brutes, just like werewolves. ANYWAY, all philosophical things aside...what are your favourite werewolf/lycanthrope movies? And why? What are you favourite books, and why? And do you have …

Just wrapped up watching the second season, on PBS. I got hooked. The third season will air in the UK, then early in '13, it will air in the US. Anyone else watch it? By the way, it's Downton Abbey, not Downtown Abbey. Stoopid phone and its auto spell correct. Sent from my HTC Desire using forumrunner.

I've seen a few threads where someone's said oh I saw a husky in this film, this tv show. Well put your husky sightings on this thread and we can see who has been vigilent in their husky sightings. It might be a new episode of a soap or drama or a classic film that you've rewatched recently and realised 'hey that's a husky!' It'll be real interesting to see how many appearances our furry favourites have made on tv.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338512/ This is a very good movie; very touching and made me tear up in some parts (some in joy, others in sadness). If you like such movies like Eight Below, then you'll love this one!
