First off I have to say, this site is full of very informative information by the existing members. I have been studying this breed of dog for sometime and this is the place I come to now! So last week we took the plunge and brought home our little girl at 9 weeks. Her father is Alaskan and her mom is Siberian. She tips the scales at 15.3 lbs and is one spunky gal! I look forward to becoming a contributing member of the site and mingling with fellow Husky lovers. I'll upload a few pics soon but as you can tell from my sig, I'm up to my eyeballs in changing diapers and letting Sasha out to pee..haha

His name is King (male) black over white with beautiful facial markings. (Im gonna "attempt" to attach a photo hehe). Ive wanted a husky ever since i was 15 years old and ive fallen in love with him in less then 24 hours ive decided to buy another one in the spring . I (am sure with everyone else here) just love these dogs.. there so elagant and "royal" looking, i love everything about them . i joined the forums to seek out help for any questions i might have in the near future about my new "son" hehe.

Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. Picked up a few pups for the family mid december for Christmas. they are now just a bit over 4 months old and we are really enjoying them. Both from the same litter, Sasha & Brody... I have an appointment to get her fixed at 6 months. My vet wants me to show him and then stud him out. just browsing around looking for ways to improve life for them.

Hiya, Just thought I'd pop by and see what's happening here.... I don't actaully own a dog of any sort (yet) but am in the process of 'adopting' one from rescue, So far we have narrowed our search down to either a Sibe or a Mal,and have been passed for both, it's just a case now of waiting for the perfect pooch to steal our hearts. So in the meantime we are carrying on our research and what better way to pick up tips/hints than from the people who know them best, the people with whom they care to share their lives! I'm sure I will be in and out of here on a regular basis and will probably be asking all sorts of questions of you all! …

Hello my name is Chris and i am from the D.C area. Currently i have a 10 month year old Siberian Husky German Shepherd mix (hope that still allows me to be here ;P) named Andy. We got him when he was around 5-6 weeks old and is my first dog. Though he looks like Shepherd for the most part he really acts like a Husky. I really am happy i found this site. Its hard to find dogs around my area that are husky's or even near his size ( he sorta has a problem with smaller dogs). Sometimes i do envy some of the other people nearby with dogs that are easy to train but at least i can say its never a dull moment with Andy. He is very active(really hyper) and is stil…

Hi there! My name's Sam, and I'm from Omaha, NE. I just got my first huskypup(third dog, first husk) Wednesday of this week, from a really great local place. His name's Phoenix, and he's a light red and white little guy, barely 6 weeks old. So far, it's been quite an experience, this little guy is a ball of energy! Still working on crate training and housebreaking, unfortunately, neither one is going particularly well. I'm hoping that by the end of this weekend, I can have him good to go for both, but we'll see. I'm working on getting some pictures uploaded, but my telephone isn't cooperating yet, so hopefully I'll be able to show you guys my pup yet tonight. Ta!

Hi everyone! My name is Leigh and I have a 17 month old male called Turkish. From the first time I met Turkish (3 weeks old) he has been a magnet for mischief and mayhem and nothing has changed in the last 17 months!! Turkish is, like all Huskies we have met, far too intelligent for his own good, but we have our little games and get through it all! As well as Turkish, I have a 6 year old whippet called Biscuit. He is ( most of the time ) the softest thing on the planet but is VERY protective over his little brother and has chased off many a german shephard on the beach! Well I could type all night talking about my boys but I wo…

Hello! My name is Hayley and I just stumbled upon this forum today, and decided that I should probably join! My boyfriend Evan and I had been thinking about getting a Husky about a year ago, and we finally got our little (well, not so little anymore) pup about 2 months ago! He's absolutely wonderful. I had never thought about getting a husky until Evan casually mentioned it to me one day. I couldn't be happier! Ollie, our puppy is so great. He is so loving, energetic, fun and fluffy! I had never had a dog before, and I must say that I am very glad we decided on a Husky. I couldn't imagine not having him! He is a wonderful addition to the family! Looki…

Hey everyone, my name is Kay. I'm 18 years old, and a new Husky Owner. I've had Kira, for a few weeks, and I'm had my realization: Huskies are not like any other dog. Kira's 6 months old and a total sweetheart, but I am soooo lost . I heard something about a Huskies For Dummies? Maybe some people could back that up as a good recc. And I heard pictures are good ? Well.. until my card-reader stops being dumb, cell phone pix will have to do .

Hi just thought i would say hello before i ask any questions i currently dont own a husky but i am looking to get a husky soon. i am doing lots of research now. (ive been researching the breed and some good reputable breeders for about a year and a half now)& i thought is there a better place than a husky forum full of husky owners ? i currently own 5 dogs (4 chihuahuas & 1 cavalier king charles spaniel) && i would love to add a husky to the pack my main concern is the huskies prey drive and how they play very rough . this concerns me because of my 4 chi's. i was wondering if anyone on here has small dogs as well as hu…

Hi, I've been lurking on the forum for quite a while now without an actual intrdoction, and you'll figure out why from below. My name is Jaafar and I'm an alcoholic. Oops, no, wrong problem . My name is Jaafar and I'm a dog lover, now a mad Husky enthusiast. I've always loved and wanted dogs but I was never able to get a dog due to family opposition, studies overseas, etc. Anyway, last November, my wife, Zineb, got a call from her dad saying that he had gotten us a Siberian Husky puppy. He had figured out how much I loved dogs, and him not being a dog person, had figured out it would be great present. Let me shed some light on the problem. Zineb an…

Hi! My name is Krisite. I live in Maine and my family has two huskies. Our male, Niko turned a yr. in Oct. and we just got a new girl, Mishka a couple of weeks ago. We also have a male maltese, Toby. Niko is such a great dog and we're hoping that the newest husky will be as well. He is sooo well behaved- thanks to the efforts of my husband. I've gotten used to the constant vacuuming and lint rollers. All the dogs sleep in bed with us and are best friends. Niko is great with my little maltese. Often he will drag a rope toy across the floor low enough so Toby can play tug of war with him. They'll even lay together and share the same bone. I couldn't ask for bett…

Hi everyone, I might just be one of the younger members but that definately doesnt mean i'm inexperienced. As I grew up we always had at least one or two huskies in our home. Now i do a little bit of rescue, rehahilitation, and rehoming of this wonderful breed. Man, every husky has its own personality and they sure do let you know it. Ive seen the destruction they can cause and the deep happiness. I permanently own 3 unless you count my boyfriends husky/shep. that would make it 4. Scifen, Tikaani, Princess, and Sexi. I've had about 20 come through each as memorable as the last in their own special way....Cody1 & 2, Kika, Juno, Heart Girl, Kenai, Glacier, Bluey, B…

Hi There, My name is Tango, a male husky born on 2/25/09. I live in Los Angeles...what, do I like the warm weather here? Well, as much as I love the snow, it's not bad to have the option to walk on the beach and swim in the ocean most time of the year...plus, we do have snow on the mountains in the winter--and since we only get like what, 5 days of rain a year it means more play time for me. update: Thanks for all the warm greetings....more pictures.... 1. a picture of me backpacking in the snow last weekend 2. at 9 month, start to look more "mannish"--with a twist of naughty grin haha 3. when i was little (8 weeks) i overeat t…
