I got this small food roll from Natural Balance food just to try it and Pongo went bananas over it!! It can be used in many ways: mixed with food, cut up and given as treat or I hear you can even cut it in slices and bake it in the oven to make your own dog cookies. I got the Duck and potato flavor but it comes in different ones. Here's the link http://www.petco.com...at=OnSiteSearch

Hi all Just a quick intro, my name is Steff and i have two lovely female husky`s, Lunar and Storm who are both eight months old.. Wondered if anyone coould advise me on the following... Both dogs have been BARF fed from about three months old. I have had no problems with the feed and the dogs taking to it other than one seems to have benefitted more, gaining more lean mass than the other, this said only a couple of pounds at most. A couple of weeks ago both girls were spayed, both recovered fine from operation etc except that Lunar, the lighter dog now will not eat any of the foods she ate before, to the point i took her back to the vets, …

ok here goes im trying to get Sasha better with people don't need to worry about her when it comes to dogs as she loves doing all the doggy stuff with them. but i thought as my son was out playing with our neighbours kids i would take Sasha outside too plus one of the neighbours dogs was outside too ( do have a question for that but ill do that later lol ) well anyway first thing they said was owwww which is getting to be the norm lol, then they made a comment of her eyes looking white ( she has really pale blue eyes ( its what made us have her in the first place lol ) but then the comment came about her body. well shes growing quicker than even i thought when she stands …

Hey Ozzy is putting on weight at the rate of knots!! I was feeding him 2 chicken wings in the morning, leaving a little (I mean a little) dried food while we're at work and then either some more dry or another chicken wing in the evening. I've now swopped to a Turkey wing/leg in the morning, a little dry while we're at work and something in the evening. I know we weren't able to walk him again until about a week/two ago because of the bad chest but surely I can't be feeding him too much? He's always hungry!! He drinks a lot of water so it can't be that he's too thirsty...... Help! In theory how …

Having just discovered that Skye..(now known as b/WITCH) has pee'd on my side of the bed..( we assume she pee'd, I have a water bed and can't find a leak) was wondering why she would do this now as she has never done it before Is it because she/we are in season (get my hint)? or is it because she thinks she is above me in the pecking order? and is after my man!!! or does she know she is booked into the vet's for the op in july? any opinions greatly recieved... also just to add, the girls are not normally allowed upstairs and some berk left the gate open and she dissappeared up there for about 20 mins without us kn…

Hey ya everyone, Im posting this up for my friend Rachel (Rach & Marj) as she has no acess to the internet at the mo. Rachel's Sibe Kai has been acting really naughty with biting and nipping the family and she has just had her 1st of 3 apts with a Dog behaviorist but Kai is proving to be a tough cookie! So far she is ignoring him when he starts to be naughty by turning her back to him but she said he will then jump and bite another place of her body (Arms, legs, Bum and feet) to get attention but is really hurting her. Can anyone offer some advice on what she could try? Hopefully Kai will start to calm down after his nex…

Hello everyone, I'm currently looking to buy a Husky but I came across a few topic that make me questioning myself.. I know that husky dosen't like to be alone and i'm working 9 to 5, 5 days a week. I guess it wouldn't be possible to leave him at home with my cat until I get back ? If it's not possible, how can that much people own a husky ? Most of the owner are working full time ! Thanks alot

Hiya everyone..... Ozzy has started to trump A LOT recently and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan do they smell!!! I can't understand why though as his diet is the same.....could it be something he's lacking? Also he seems to be really warm at the moment, loves lying by the door etc and he's not shedding very much but is still scratching and biting at himself-went to the vets on Monday and she said he has no sign of mites or fleas.......is a bit strange any ideas??? I'm noticing some behavior from Kiana that is starting to concern me a bit. Every toy I bring into the house, whether it's hers or Foxy's, she grabs it and trots off to my room, where both dogs sleep. Naturally I thought this was cute when she did it with her toys but she started doing it with Foxy's as well. She'll trot right up, take it from Foxy even if she's playing with it, and take it to the room. Now she has kind of horded all of the toys to herself and Foxy, bless her sweet heart, just kinda looks at me like "do something". Now when foxy goes to grab a toy she trots over and just takes it. I'm concerned this will progress into something more aggressive as she grow…

Hey guys, Does anyone else have a Sibe that literately goes on a random mad 10 mins buzzing around the house. Doing everything you've trained him not to do, i.e jump up on sofa's, table surf, nipping?. When you try to correct him and get him down or pick him up be becomes nippy and growly. lol it's pretty funny to watch, it's like someone has given him a extacy pill or something. Saber is 15 weeks old and does it every other day or so. Is this common? or is something wrong? Thanks Tom

When we got Fia, we bought a harness for her but then the trainer we have for her said we shouldnt use a harness... Now she growing and pulling more and more on the leash. I have seen that many of you use harnesses. let me know what your thoughts are on this. I appreciate it

Below Is a website that i stumbled upon a few months ago while looking at ratings for flea and tick products. I have never had an issue with Hartz products, but in the best interest of people with small/tiny breed dogs and especially cats, I thought I'd pass the info on. I dont use seargents silver or gold on my cats, but i do use Hartz brand flea stuff for them, as well as for Chewy. I understand their upset on the website but would like to add a little overview. As far as i can tell, it looks to me that maybe some pets were simply allergic to the chemicals in the drops, but overall it seems to me that 95+% of the affected animals were cats and little dogs. I …

I have a 5 month old husky that might be on the chunky side. All the other husky pups I've seen are on the thin side..she's only 36lbs but she's bulky, when she runs..she jiggles a little. She's also big boned, her legs are thicker than my 5 year old husky. She eats about 3 cups a day, so she's eating normal. Should I feed her less?

Hello everyone. We have one husky currently. It is our first dog together. She is really a joy, she is now almost 5 months old. I have been reading a lot about that siberians tends to do better when there is a second dog in the household. We live in an apartment but she gets all the exercise she needs. We walk her at least 2 hours a day and she goes to the dog park to run around. So adding a second one wouldn't be much different. My questions are if we should get a male or a female. ( My boyfriend would love to get a male). How old our Fia should be when we get the puppy. And any other thoughts you would have. thanks!

So, Recently I lost my lovable Black Lab, and the house seems a bit quiet and frankly it is driving me a bit nuts. I have been looking into many different breed of dogs since the loss and Siberian Husky is on of the ones that Really jumped out at me. As a former dog walker I know how important walking and training are (I have had up to 10 dogs in my house at a time) and I know that with any dog breed training starts day one when they get home, and ends in about 12-13 years. So I know I can handle a Huskies testy behaviour with training and walks. Also getting a husky from a reputable breeder I should also be able to find a lower energy dog…

Hi all, I gave a huskamute a new home saturday just gone, he seems to have settled in well. But today he has turn and snapped at my daughter for no reason. i saw everything and she did nothing to cause the problem. My daughter is 13 and well aware about new dogs and how to be careful. Me and my family have now desided that he can't be trusted and as we do have very young children. i don't know what to do next? Jon
