Sleep well Twinkie

Recommended Posts

The rain has finally came.

Since Twinkie arrived,me and her were waiting for the rain.

Our wait lasted almost a month.

Amazingly, she stayed with my family for a month also.

Because of her, my dad learned to love dogs as if they were kids.

Mom learned to appreciate them better.

I learned how to be a dad. Or at least that's what I'm thinking right now.

Since Twinkie's first day in this house, I've been telling her is:

"Let's wait for the rain so you can play as happy as you want. When it comes, you'll finally feel better."

Sadly, Twinkie acquired Canin Distemper virus. A rare virus that is supposedly the counterpart of human measels.

Ever since May 21 2010, me and Twinkie have been fighting virus.

I'd be looking after her, feeding her, and just being there for her whenever I don't have work.

We fought wholeheartedly.

Me and my family were there for her 24-7.

She was there trying to hang on.

Everyone in the household was hoping for a miracle..sadly it didn't come.

Her body gave in already.

Enough is enough. She doesn't have to suffer anymore.

A month have already passed since Twinkie came into my family.

Within that month, she taught everyone a lot of lesson.

Especially me.

She taught me how to be a dad.

..Hopefully I became one.

Finally the rain came.

The wait for both of us is over.

It's been raining for three days already.

You can finally play happily.

Thank you puppy. You are one in a million.

Stay happy up there.

I love you.

What an amazing tribute. You made the most of your time together, and it's touching to read how much joy she brought to your life in such a short time. She's running free now, and I'm sure she's already met my Nik and all the others from here who were waiting to show her the ropes.

Eric, what a beautiful tribute to Twinkie. I am so, so sorry for your loss. You certainly did everything you could for Twinkie, and she was a trooper right along with you. Twinkie is now pain-free, and running free. Zoya sends Husky Hugs to help ease the pain from your loss.
