s200rey
Another little update... Bowe's now a little big for the partition that we made in the Utility! she keeps just jumping over once un attended, then causing as much chaos as she can! lol. So we've decided to crate her, she's taken well to it and we've moved her from the Utility which is at the back of the house, to the front room. Were finding it a lot better already, she's a lot calmer when un attended, and seems to become agitated when she needs either attention or the toilet. When we let her out for play time and to socialise, she seems calmer...that is, until our eldest starts running and jumping around, acting like a husky and saying 'I LOVE YOU' in a silly slow voice so that Bowe howls at her! apart from that though she's quite calm lol. When & If she does get out of hand though the crate is great, because as soon as she acts up, its straight in the crate, then back out again after 1 or 2 minutes. Hopefully this will help with her behavior and work even better than putting her behind the partition in the Utility room when she's naughty, as she can see us all going on about our business, just with out her so eventually i'm hoping she will realise that she would rather be a 'good girl' and be out with all of us, rather than in the crate. So, we've officially began 'crate training' Took a few pictures of her today; Bowe & Evelyn Bowe & Evelyn in ore of one another, lol! Bowe & Evelyn looking at the camera, cuties! Evelyn trying to get Bowe's attention, lol! Bowe, acting 'hard' Laugh out Loud, lol! Beautiful Bowe Bowe being Calm And lastly, Bowe Hoooooooowlin' She's looking like a different pup these days, what ya'll think??...especially with both ears being up now! The connection between her and Evelyn is unbelievable! Evelyn lights up every time she lays eyes on her and there constantly talking to each other! its pretty amazing to watch!! Removed #5
Mark I have to say, This what you say above. Is all you, its all down to you. You rescued her, you raised her. You are the reason she has done so well!! I only hope her siblings find mummies and daddies to look after them as well as you look after Bowe. I hasten to agree with this! It would have been so easy at the start to decide not to work with her, she ( seemed to have ) had so much against her I don't think any of us would have blamed you for giving her back or passing her on! Mate, you've done a fantastic job with her and if I could I'd pat you on the back for all you've done!! Great Show!! Mark, Bowe et al! Biggles
I think Storm & Angels Mum and @Al has said it all. From a dreadful start she is a beautiful pup and it is down to all the hard work that you have put in. You have made a great difference to a husky's life. Paranormal Wolf
Just looked through the thread again from start to finish and my my what a change there is in Bowe! She is absolutely stunning, its hard to believe she's the same pup. Like others have said you have done an outstanding job with her and she is so lucky someone like you took her it, took the time to work with her, and didn't give up on her. I commend you for all you've done for Bowe and if she could speak I'm sure she would speak volumes of how much you've done for her!

s200rey
Thankyou everyone! ...your kind words are much appreciated! She was funny last night, it was absolutely pouring down (she's not afraid of rain, 1 bit) and I was making a brew in the Kitchen, and she came in to express her concern for a walk, as soon as possible, I tried to tell her that I wasn't walking her in the torrential rain and that she had to wait... She wasn't very impressed with me! lol, started shouting at me to 'man up' haha! "MAN UP DAD!" hahaa!...she eventually got her walk, about 15mins later once the rain eased of a little bit she's already turning into a right funny'un! lol...she's only been on like 10 or 12 walks since her last inoculation, and she's already telling me when she wants to go out! lol... s200rey
Took a handful of pictures of Bowe on my phone over the weekend. I've got more to put on later, of my the misses's phone which takes much better quality pictures!! She was attacked by an off lead Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Saturday! which shook her up quite a bit, luckily it ran at her that quick it miss - timed its 'snap' and just head butted her instead, shooting her about 7-8 ft away from me, luckily she managed to run to safety whilst I 'apprehended' the Staffy!...the owner was no where in sight for around a minute! luckily it had a big leather collar on and I managed to grab it on both sides, restricting its neck movement so it couldn't bite me, but instead it ended up pulling me all over! trying to get back at Bowe! Luckily its owners turned up (from the bottom of the hill) and got it back on lead, whilst Bowe just sat licking herself at a safe distance (good girl!) ...gave the feller a bollockin' for been so useless, specially with the type of dog! it was a very large, well built beast of an example! it managed to drag me a good few ft, and i'm over 13stone!...he was very apologetic, and told me it was 'out of character' which I dont really believe, if a dog will attack a PUPPY, surely it wont think twice about much else!...neway, Bowe turned out to be okay, just a bit shell shocked, but she returned to the same walking place this morning with me before work, and was totally comfortable, so luckily it hadn't scared her that much! just glad it didn't pull her to shreds!! slightly better timing on its behalf and no doubt it would have been a blood bath! makes me angry because thats all it would have taken, a direct hit, rather than a miss, and who knows! Below are a couple of pictures taken yesterday, she looks well for having 'a scrap' with a large staffy the day before! lol... More pictures to follow later today, or tomorrow! Mark & Bowe.

I hope the day never comes when somebody looks at me as if its 'my fault' lol, god help um! haha...luckily this is the first 'mishap' me & bowe have had, probably not the last though eh. I agree, she is looking great though, and is really coming into her own now! were so, so pleased with her! she's loving the walkies as well, 3 quite short walks a day she gets! luckily little lady lol...daren't walk or run her too much or too far, as her little bones / body is still developing, even though she seems like she could do it for hours! lol
Stranger
I dont agree with dogs being off lead, regardless of what breed, imagine if your dog is off lead and another dog is too and they get into a fight, how quickly would you be able to get to them..... glad shes ok hun.....x

s200rey
People like that give staffies a bad name! ,, glad she's ok Sent from my ST18i using Forum Runner Exactly!...if 'introduced' properly they might of been okay together, or at least if not just part company with nobody getting hurt / injured. 9 times out of 10 times - the behavior is down to the owner. Some people must literally think you can just buy a dog or puppy, feed it, walk it, and it will learn & do the rest itself! shocking. I hate it when dogs / breeds get a bad name!!...I love Staffys, Bowe's got a 3 year old female friend Staffy and they play wonderfully together! ...pictures in page 2 or 3 of this thread!
