James
Soo Last Night, My mum took Gus to the vets, But he didn't come home His heart Mumur had increased to a level 6 and he has fluid in his abdomen, The vet said they could give him medication to make him feel more comfortable and attempt to drain the fluid, but in the end it would only prolong his suffering. So My Mum made the selfless desicion to have him put to rest. She said he went peacefully, drifted off to Rainbow bridge . Gus was a randy bugger, even in his older years, he had a fearless personality, despite his size, nothing phased him! Even after Kita attacked him a few times over food, even though he was old and frail he never backed down to her and would still tell her off if she stepped out of line. He lived up to his breed name King Charles Spaniel, We were there to serve him, not for him to serve us he rarely played fetch and wasn't interested in doing tricks or commands for our entertainment . He was unlike any other dog i have seen, so chilled out, yet completely sure of himself, I can't remember Gus being affraid of anything. He was a very handsome Dog, and had a wonderful smile I don't have to many pictures of him But here are a few. R.I.P Gussy Bear. You will be sorely missed, Especially by your adopted Grandaughter Kita.

James
haha I remember Gus, not being a fan of water, he didnt like to go in it.....unless abit of tail went in the water, then he'd follow..... That dog was determined to hump Aside from that kind of thing Gus loved to be fussed and have treats, he'd only eat treats in the hallway from some reason o_O , you'd give him the treat and he'd scamper off to the hall and munch on it there lol! Kara
Sounds like Gus had a long and fun and loved filled life with you and your family. My warm thoughts are with you to help keep Gus in your heart forever. What a 'precious' looking guy he was, and it takes a brave soul to let him go peacefully.
