Johnny Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 I first met her at a local animal shelter. As soon as I saw her in her pen I asked if we could meet. When they let her out she came right up to me and licked me on the cheek. The staff was surprised, they told me that she was very fearful of people. They told me how she came into their possession. She was tied up overnight in front of a vet office until animal control picked her up. I wanted to take her home right away, but they had this policy of keeping animals X days before putting them up for adoption. It was the longest 2 days of my life, all the while I was thinking what if someone else takes an interest in her before I could get there? I knew she had to come home with me. Many years later, her journey has branched away from mine. I'm sure I'll find her again someday when my time is up. Don't have many pictures from when she was younger but at least they're in my head.
