Marc Posted July 13, 2011 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 Hi all, Just a quick message to say it is nice to see the forum the way that it is at the moment. I'm posting this because its all to often that is is posted to say there is xyz problem and that we have had to change the rules because of this, that and the other. And nothing is ever posted to say how good the place is. There have been a lot of things said out and around the web, and it seems I have been the scapegoat in a lot of it. Well, such is life. It seems the truth has been omited in a lot of places, and comments that have been said have been assumed to have come from me when I was in fact the one to remove them, not the one to say them. But such is life, I am not going to dwell on these. Some will follow, and others will make their own mind up. The forum has been on its ups and downs over around 12 month I would say, but overall I am happy to say it is still on the up. Despite the emotional problems both Sarah and myself have had that come with running a large forum, we are still here, and more than anything we are still determined to build this place even beyond the forum that it is today, despite being the biggest already. We are aware that there are many members, all over the globe, who contribute to this forum. Mine and Sarahs aim is to one day meet all of you. I appreciate that this may not be possible, however we have been discussing the possibilily that as a family we may well be sorting out (money permitting of course) coming out to some places to visit other members. Possibly making a trip out to the US in the next couple of years for a few days, maybe Ireland with Kimba & Kaiser, and who knows where. The honesty is both Sarah and myself still enjoy the forum, despite its occasional problems and drama. This is something I think I can also say for my Dad (Dunc) who has also been here from practically day one. We have some good friends here. We are a community of people, and as such some people will fall out whilst others join our friendship. It is good to see we have so many people who we can call friends. Just also want to say whilst Im here that its good we have such a good staff team here. Only tonight whilst me and Dad were playing golf, it is nice to see that we have a team who can disagree on so many things in private, in order to do nothing more than make a decent community for everyone to enjoy. And whilst our current set of staff are in place, there are many others who have been on the staffing team in the past who have contributed toward the forums current success, so thankyou to you guys also. So here goes husky owners. Still the largest community for huskys on the net. So what do we aim for next? Well next in my opinion is the BIG BOARD status. For though of you who do not know what that is, it is the status given to any online forum who has been online for over 3 years and has over half a million posts. For those who do keep up with the stats here on husky owners, you will know we are actually not that far off. For a forum, let me tell you, this is a big honour to be had. Nice post Marc Its good to post about the really good things and I think that post sums up Husky owners very well.... A Waerm family place to relax, have fun and socialise!
