I haven't been on for awhile, and this is why.... Over the weekend, my 7 year old daughter, Cameron, had a friend and classmate go missing. Her name was Willow Long. I was part of the search teams out looking for her. We live in a rural area, so we were searching neighborhoods, woods, weed fields, corn fields, bean fields, creeks, rivers, train tracks, interstates, etc by foot, 4 wheelers, horse, k-9 units, everything. FBI was involved with search & rescue and with thermal imaging airplanes. Can't make this up. Well, last night one group searching their grid found Willow's body. At first, we thought that was it. The story was that she had walked away from home…

We've all heard the story of chief Falling Rocks - or at least those of us who have lived in the mountains of the US have ... but here's a twist that I would not have wanted to be a part of. Straight from the tropical storm in Taiwan. Just out for a casual drive on a rainy day ... oops (( This was the result of tropical storm Kong-Rey and 19 inches of rain in one day )) Here's a vid of the path this little rock took with a real good shot of the car involved! The driver, they say, was unhurt - except for this brown stain on his car seat.

--translated directly from an Indonesian online newspaper-- Exotic fowls including chickens are sold in many markets all over the world. The average price of a live fowl is US$50 per individual, but only one Indonesian chicken is capable of making its buyers pay up to US$5000 for each couple. As published in Phoenix New Times on Thursday, August 15th 2013, the most expensive chicken in the world is an Indonesian breed locally known as Ayam Cemani (Cemani chicken). Each Cemani costs at least US$2500. Paul Bradshaw from Greenfire Farms Florida says that the extremely high price is due to its rarity and difficulty to breed. Greenfire itself is planning to be the fi…

Here is an article I found on the Australian Sled Dog Association website. This bloke resides in the far north of my home state of Western Australia a place that is possibly the most polar opposite of Alaska as is possible. Cheers Jase My name is Christian Turner, I have an addiction...lucky for me its a healthy and a very much legal addiction, Dog sledding. I spend more time thinking about the sport and the dogs than anything else in my life. I spend all my money on the sport. I spend all my spare time talking to people about the sport or looking at footage or pictures of the sport. As I said, I’m addicted... Being an Australian is great! but b…
