Rob
We went to the park again today where the rspca had a little dog show, we didn't know about it and got there too late to enter him in the cutest pup We stuck around though as we thought it would be good to start socialising him. Most people got that he was a husky but we had a couple of comments........ "is he a fox?" wtf? and from a lady who worked for the rspca..... "ohhhh my friend has an akita too"

Kroush
I have people assume he's a Husky and say "You know it's a husky because it have blue yes." Does that make me a Husky? I've got blue eyes. I've seen Sheep dogs get called "Husky mixes" because they have blue eyes and pure Sibes get called "Mutts" or "Malamutes" because they have brown eyes. Sorry to break it to you, but Siberians aren't the only breed on earth with blue eyes. When Loki was 8 weeks old, I had the pet store staff ask me if he was an Alaskan Klee Kai. At 8 weeks.. Loki was probably larger than an adult Klee Kai.

Sibe77
Grey sometimes gets mistaken for a well behaved beautiful Husky! well im fed up with it! he is not one of those! he is a disobediant pain in the bloody Arse and the quicker people know this the better! I think what annoys me most about people, is when they walk past with there friends or family and you can hear them thinking they know everything to there mates telling them what dog it is " no that is not a full Husky its deffo a mix " or " thats a white Alsatian, i have seen one befor" i would rather you ask me than make assumptions, the best ones are when 2 people argue and one of them is so adamant, i had it befor i could hear 2 asian lads talking about Grey, one was "thats a Husky" the other just went into i know everything mode saying he was an Akita and explaing why he was an Akita it was so bad the other bloke started to agree to which point i turned round and said "Mate i have never heard so much bullshit come out of ones mouth! He is a Siberian Husky not an Akita so i suggest you look up breeds befor you stand there like Mr know it all" his mate just burst into laughter and made him feel like a right plum...... tiasmommy
I know this is a bit off topic but I had my Husky at the veterinarian's office and a lady asked me if she was an American Eskimo dog, No my gal is a Husky. She has one blue eye and her other eye has some blue and some brown in it.

jayt
We went to a local street fair last night, and Jon got a lot of attention. A group of kids walk by us, and one of them asks if he is a Husky? I said yes, then another kid says to the first, "dude, he would rip your face off". Melissa and I look at each other and laugh. Maybe lick his face off!
lyra
Lyra is still a pup, but because of her mask, we've had about 5 people on different occasions during walks ask if she's a Shiba Inu. I think huskies are a lot more common than Shiba Inus, at least around here, so I'm always surprised that's what they come up with first.
