New Host As most of you will already know, we have now moved host. If you experience any problems then check your email for instructions on how to fix the issues. Please bare in mind that because we have moved the domain, it can take 24-48 hours to catch up on all servers, so if the fix doesnt work then it may take this long for the problem to resolve by itself. Hopefully we should now stop experiencing the downtime that we have had over the past week or so and have a faster browsing experience on the forum. Any problems let me know.

Ok, had some replies on a previous thread and quite a few emails. Have started a poll. Looks like people want to meet in the Midlands. Exact location to be determined but looking at somewhere where we can walk with the dogs and find a dog friendly pub at the end of the walk for Duncan and Richard lol. I've put a poll on now for dates PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE MORE THAN ONE DATE.................THE DATE WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL BE THE DATE WE WILL ALL MEET UP

VBExperience Ever wondered how you are REALLY doing on the forums? Im not just on about posts, but how much you really put into the forums as a whole? Welcome to the VBExperience addition to the forums. Seen this in your posts? This is a new feature that I have just added that will tell you exactly how you are doing in just about every sense of the forums. So to explain how this works I will describe what each means in turn. EXPERIENCE METER This is your experience meter and your biggest indicator of how you are doing in terms of other members on the forum. You gain points on this me…

Tech Corner Hi All, I have just created a new section on the forum called "Tech Corner" which can be found under the off topic section of the forum. This is for topics relating to anything from computers, to the internet. In addition to the above, the world wide web section is now a subforum of this section.

Donation features Hi All, You'll have noticed that I have added a donation button to the forum on the right hand side. Been thinking about this and thought I would like to give donating members a little something back in return and so I have added a new usergroup for donators. Donators will now recieve the following. Donating members will be upgraded to a premium account, which in honesty doesnt give much, but just thought it would be nice to give something back. You will recieve the tag as below Username will change color to match the tag above Also you will recieve the following extras in forum permissio…

Image problems solved So it would seem that we have problems with uploading images for some with regards to the sizes, dimensions etc, however everyone seems to be able to use their own profile albums with relative ease. WHY NOT MIX THEM TOGETHER is what I thought, and so I have done just that. You now have the functionality to add images from your gallery/album to a post or thread if you wish to do so. If when you are creating a new thread or replying (advanced only, not quickreply) you would like to add a photo from your gallery you may do so by clicking on the new INSERT link which you will find undernieth the smilies on the right hand side of the…

Show your gender Some people (nix) have mentioned in the past that people do not know what gender they are, and others (nix) have asked in the past what gender people are. So now, rather than having to do something like specifying your gender in your sig (nix) I have created a new profile field under the 'Edit your Details' section in the userCP. This is a manditory field, so everyone who registers from now on will have to complete this field. Also every member on the forum will be forced to select theirs before they can edit their profile again. This will show next to your username as a male or female symbol in blue or pink respectivly (s…

Later tonight whist upgarding the forum I will be adding some forum rules that everyone will have to agree to in order to continue posting. In these rules will be the following however I wish to emphisise this in a thread before hand. When a member of admin, (or more to the point the people who opened the forum and have decided on what the forum is about) makes a dicission, this decission is final. Please feel free to ask about the decission in PM to myself or Sarah however if you are still told the same thing then respect that the dicission. DO NOT continue to pm and pester that member of admin or you are likely to render yourself very unwelcome. Threats of le…

Hi Peeps, Just a quick email to let you know that the site upgrade was completed last night. Please let me know if you experience any issues with the site and I will try to get them resolved a quick as possible. Changes to the site include the following:- Bug fixes to the previous version to further prevent forum hacking. Improvements to the database system that should speed up the running of the forum (obviously this will not speed up hosting issues occasionally experienced) Quick reply has now been added to the private messaging system meaning you no longer have to click on reply. A new link has been added to peoples postbi…

Hi All, Just a little advanced notice to let you know that there will be an upgrade to the forums main software performed at some point tomorrow (probably tomorrow night uk time). Please be aware that during this time the website will be completely offline for around 2-3 hours. The forum upgrade consists of a few bug fixes in the software and some additional features, all of which I will post up once the upgrade has been completed. Regards, Marc

Hi All, Just in case you thought you was loosing the plot, yes there have been a few forum moves today. Some have been renamed, inactive ones merged. Some have moved categories and the names will have changed slightly. This is in order to keep our sites active areas alive and stop it going stale (not that it ever will with you lot posting lol). Next on the agenda will be a few changes being made by either myself or Sarah. I know over the next day or so Sarah will be looking into the smiley situation to see if we can get some decent ones on board, and will also be looking at the hierachy of the use titles (more info to come on this one). In…

The shoutbox has now been upgraded to include a who's online feature. You can also see how many shouts any user has done from their postbit (under the post count to the left of this post). As well as this, if you would like to send a private message to a user in the shoutbox, you can click the arrow at the side of thier name which will give you the option in a dropdown menu. More features to be added soon.. Watch this space

I have just changed the forum slightly so that it now embedsyoutube links into the forum itself when you post a link. If you are unsure what I mean then look at the post below and you will see the video is now part of the post itself. http://www.husky-owners.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2500 Please note that if you have uploaded the video yourself and you copy the link onto the post you will get an extended address. You need only the address for the video... My suggestion would be, on youtube next to the video there is a URL box. Copy the link from that box into the post as this is the correct one that you need to use. …

URGENT STOLEN DOGS FROM KENT - please crosspost this
by Guest Beth- 2 replies

On Friday Chris Burns in Kent had 5 dogs and his Landrover stolen. None have turned up as yet. The Landrover is a dark green 110 high cab with dog kennels built into the back and plate DOG K9. The spare wheel cover has "Breezeleaf Spaniels" printed on it. The dogs are much more important; 2 cocker pups of 8 months one black and one liver - and 2 spaniel pups of the same age - one black and white and one liver and white, and his current trial dog "Twig". There is a photo of Twig on Breezeleafspaniels.co.UK and video of the pups on Shooting Times where Chris is doing short training videos (also on YouTube). As it is so close to Christmas it…

As you can see we have a complete new design for the forums. You'll also notice that there are bits that are a little flaky here and there, and other bits that dont quite match 'us' ... But we'll sort them.. The forum was a little 'colourless' and it had been said by more than one person, so we have tried to go with a more colourfull approach without losing the 'easy on the eyes' part that is so important when spending time on a forum. So what your first impressions??

Log out of the forum Click on the button for facebook under the login section in the top right of the forum (picture of button attached) Log into your facebook account as prompted. Click on the 'use existing account' link type in your 'FORUM' username and password THATS IT, YOU'VE INSTALLED THE HUSKY OWNERS APPLICATION …
