Hi everyone, This is my first time on this forum so I figured I would take a few minutes and introduce myself and my best friend. My name is Sam and I am 25 years old. I live in the united states, grew up in Arizona and now as you can tell by my name live in the Pacific North West and will be here the rest of my life. I have an almost 4 year old male Siberian named Koda. He has been with me since eight weeks old and we have what I consider to be an incredible bond. He is my best friend and has seen me at my lowest lows as well as my highest highs. As its normal for any dog to see its owner go through highs and lows Koda has seen it more than most. The reason being th…

Hi everybody, I am a 1st time husky owner and I can't tell you how helpful this forum has been. I am learning new things everyday and I hope that some of you will be able to answer the questions I have. I will look for the appropriate threads to post my questions, but for now I would like you to meet Dawson. He keeps us laughing all of the time.

I've finally joined the forum. If you don't know of me yet, I'm Marc's cousin & I was invited to the annual Husky Camp as family last year to do some photography & was invited again this year.. Or the correct term would be that I just turned up anyway with a camera to take some snaps of this years (2016) camp too, because it was so good last year. I'll be uploading lots of shots taken this year so everyone can see them & hopefully summon up even more encouragement for people to attend in 2017. I'll have to ask though, where's the best place in the forum to post them? Thanks

Hello my name is amanda and my hubby and I are the new proud owners of a 2 yr old male purebred siberian. his name is Ghost. So many new things to learn and teach and research! We are looking into raw food diet but undecided as of yet. Still learning how to train him to walk with some slack in his leash (finding that pretty tough) and walk with the stroller ... almost had a topple over a couple times because he just runs lol. Anyways nice to meet all of you and look forward to checking out the rest of the site

I'm a fairly new Husky owner, I found Shadow at the local pound. Came to find out he came from a home where the ladydidnt take care of him... it was o bad e used to only drink water from glasses/cups and wouldn't hardly eat.... He is the friendliest dog I have ever had, and is even a hero to me. I had only had him about 2 weeks and was outside playing with him when we we're attacked by a large pit bull... he stepped in between us when we we're charged and we ended up in a brawl... Most people told me I should of ran and let him fight, but I can't leave my dogs to fend for themselves... we ended up fighting him off enough and escaped... came to find out i…

My name is Ann, I have just got a Siberian Husky / German Shep mix from Battersea dog home. Bailey He is 8 years old his owners had to move and couldn't keep him. I have had dogs all my life, I have had a Lab, a German Shep / Lab mix and my last dog was a Boxer. After my Boxer Baileys hair is a bit of a shock LOL. I know loads about Boxer but not so much about Husky's so I though I would join to to find out more. Bailey has some health problems, he had a slipped disc or embolism in his disc they are not sure which, so his legs are a bit wobbly and he can go for long walks, he is will but his body is not, bit like me really lol. When he was xrayed the found a met…

Hi. Pics of my two girls sookie (mum) and ghost(daughter). Sookie has just had her first litter and we decided on keeping wee red. Has anyone had a similar experience with keeping a pup from the litter. At the moment we are keeping them both Inew the kitchen with ghost being in the cage from her litter. When we let them out together they are fine in the garden but inside they play fighting constantly. Is this normal or should we be doing something else? I spoke to a couple breeders and they suggested just leaving them to it but it seems to be almost constant. Thanks in advance.

On Friday I take home this beautiful puppy we've named Optimus! I can't wait, I'm a crazy dog lady without the dogs! I moved out of my parents place 2 years ago and moved 500 miles away to the tiny island of Guernsey.. The worst part was being away from my family dog (who's no longer with us unfortunately) For the past two years I've been planning on getting a husky and now I'm in a better work situation so I can dedicate time to the pup I can't wait! I've done lots of research but this is the first dog myself and my other half are getting ourselves so I'm sure I'm still unprepared so any advice would be great Optimus is a pure bred Siberian husky although …

Hi all, glad to be part of this forum. We are a young married couple from sydney australia who absolutly adore dogs. We have a French Bulldog named Rogue and a English Staffordshire terrier named Bronx. We recently a couple of months ago lost our 9 year old Border Collie named Molly to a rare form of cancer... which was heartbreaking. our home didnt feel the same so we started playing with the idea of getting another dog... my wife found siberian huskys magestic and beautiful and the hunt began. so when the time was right we started looking. We found a beautiful girl, grey and white with stunning blue eyes. She is only 6 weeks at the moment and will be ready to…

Hi fellow husky-lovers. This is my puppy Jake. He's turning 6 months and I am really excited to seem grow big. I took this photo when he was still 3 months old. Everything husky is new to me and I have been to many groups and sites to know more about my dog and the breed. I am looking forward to learn from other husky owners and lovers like you.

Hello everyone! I am an owner to a female red husky, Keira. I got her when she was 8 weeks old. She is now 7 1/2 months. She is my first husky. I've had experience with raising other dogs/breeds but they were technically not mine (my brother's). Keira is my very own first pet dog. She is amazing and so far the journey with her has been quite easy despite the numerous warnings and stories I've been given from husky owners lol. Never knew I could have so much love for an animal until I got Keira. She's my baby! Looking forward to seeing and getting to know everyone and their fur babies... and also learning knew things about this beautiful breed.

Hi guys, i live in Salford, greater manchester. and as the title suggests, Newby to Huskies, and I have acquired one by accident. My neighbour had him for the last year,he is roughly 1.5 years old. and if I'm honest didn't deserve him, or treat him properly. (I am used to german shepherds, having had two rescued dogs in the past, and one who is getting old, so I understand to a certain extent how much time and effort the bigger dogs need. Well to cut a long story short, the neighbour went missing for a week two weeks ago, and left the poor dog in the house, with a relative feeding him, but leaving him alone all day. she asked me to feed him and…

Hi everyone!! I am new to this site, this is my first post I have always LOVED huskies - ever since I was a baby. My parents had a black & white husky since before I was born, and I spoke my first word "dog" while looking at his beautiful face. Now, many years later (and a happy dog home that has welcomed many breeds and rescues) we are bringing another husky into our lives, and I am over the moon. My family has picked out this beautiful baby girl (named Lucy), I think she is just stunning. It will be about another month before we can take her home, and I haven't got to meet her yet but my brother and mom have sent me these photos. I wanted to share this beca…

Hello! My husband and I adopted our husky (Bear) and we are here to hopefully learn some tricks to training him! We have a Shiba Inu (George) as well. George is well trained, but Bear isn't. He's kind of a little monster actually! We don't know what happened with his previous owners, but we are hoping it's not too late to train him to at least some degree. He is 2 yrs old and neutered. I love him to death and he has such beautiful blue eyes! Do huskys come in white with blue eyes? The only ones I have ever seen have been black/white or red/white. ~Holly
