siberian_wolf
awwww I love Kimiko and also Timo I love geckos, they wicked reptiles! I'd like a Tokay Gecko eventually but dont think that would happen for a while! Ive got the majority of equipment needed to set up a tank that would be suitable for leopard geckos but then I moved to live with jamie and its all been in the garage since! Sid_Wolf
just a quick word on the tokays, very agressive with a nasty bite, i worked with some for a while and while i would love a pair, they are very much 'display geckos' you couldnt even put your hands in the tank without them attacking you, and i'v heard that they are all like this... Sid_Wolf
yea kimiko was my first one, shes been with me for about a year and a half now, Suki's a rescue off ricks nephew who wouldnt look after her properly, stubbi's sort of adopted, she dropped her tail in the shop i worked for when she was a baby so i took her home to nurse her and they said to keep her. banana and sunglow are being looked after by me while their owners are on holiday but they were ment to collect them after 3 weeks but its been about 6-8 now and i havent heard anythin from them eckos my only male, was ready to breed by 3 months  (i didnt till he was about 5-6) and timo's the new baby i think i have an addiction lmao:o

I know that. I worked in reptile shop for a while and one of the guys that worked there had loads of them which he has got from others that have bought them and couldnt care for them properly. He "home made" each viv for the tokays and made himself a small 'feeding door' at the top of each one where he could drop the food into them. He couldnt ever handle any of them but they are beautiful lizards!!
Sid_Wolf
yea i love the look of them, and the fact that they sometimes scream their name lol, i want a pair just for display
siberian_wolf
yea i love the look of them, and the fact that they sometimes scream their name lol, i want a pair just for display lol wouldnt it be great if you could train them to 'scream' at a certain time, make a brilliant alarm clock I'd like to have Marine Igunana too for display but I dont have the room for one nor can they be kept as a 'pet' due to their conservation status I think I may stick with small reptiles rather than big ones as much as I would love to have them! One day I may continue setting up my leopard gecko tank and get a couple females. I would love to have a chameleon too
Sid_Wolf
im not too keen on chams as they only have a lifespan of 4-7 years compared to the 20-30 of a leopard gecko and the 15-20 of a beardie. i was gunna get a bosc monitor that'd be allowed run of the house (tank door left open during the day) but then i got kira, so i dont think that'll happen

You got me on subject of reptiles now!!!

siberian_wolf
i'd be happy to let you have one of my girls i'd just be a case of getting her safely down to poole lol, what other equipment do you need?? cool won't be for a while at the moment as we are thinking of trying to get our own house at some point and also don't have anywhere for the tank. You've asked a questions now! Its all hidden in the garage have no idea exactly what I got alread and what I havent got lol I know its only basic parts so far. Let me think, I have a basic small tank (Big enough for 2-3 I would say), a few hidding boxes, feed and water bowl, heat mat. I know I need things like, thermostat/habistat, few pet carriers so can stock up on foods, supplements, suitable substrate, theromometer and hygrometer, and peat moss (for one of the hideouts). Think thats everything thinking off my head!
