Hi from Pilot Mountain!

Recommended Posts

Hello and thank you to my new Facebook pal Sandy for listing this group in her profile.

I am originally from NH, then Boston, then DC area and now Northwest North Carolina. A few years ago, we adopted 2 great sibes from Southern Siberian Rescue out of Raleigh NC. Last year, we agreed to foster 2 from an emergency rescue in Denver NC, in October the female surprised us with a puppy! Of course, we adopted both Mom and pup -once insane enough to own two, what's two more? ... LOL

This is my first experience raising a sibe from birth (or the big SPLAT as we like to refer to it) Training the Mighty Quinn is a fun challenge, the best part is that our three adults are doing most of the work! He's a singleton, so our biggest challenge is training him not to bite! He is 90% housebroken and gets neutered in 6 wks.

LuLu, the Mom, is still skittish. Her poor life was spent in a crate making puppies! She was less than 30 pounds when rescued and now 48 pounds and very healthy! Like all the sibes from that situation, she has very short legs -three litters later and all puppies are normal with nice long legs -sad to see what malnutrition and abuse can do!

Richard has a Diggler Scooter and dry land mushes LuLu (the Mom) and our boy Mukki. Quinn will start mushing at 1 year. My girlfriend Tala has bad hips and can not mush, which is just fine with her -she prefers hiking and exploring with me.

Well, that's about all there is about us... with 4 sibes, there is little time for anything else LOL.

Looking forward to making lots of new friends, I posted some pictures of the puppy, enjoy!

Cris
